The manager was friendly and so was the girl who does the fitting. We found a dress that we had previously tried on at another store at a lower price. When asked who discussed pricing we were directed to a mans office who happens to also be the owner. He proceeded to write several different prices claiming that he couldn't match the price given the level of service that he offers as part of the experience. Paying for a entire wedding on your own, you look for the best price for everything. After going back and forth with the owner, I extended my hand to shake his hand as we were not going to purchase the same dress at a higher price then we found at another location - he refused to shake my hand and tossed his quote in my direction. As I am a business owner and somebody that works in customer service I was shocked that he handled himself in such a childish and non professional manner. I will not go back and would not recommend this store to anyone else. The two stars are given to his staff. If it was based on the experience with the owner it would have been zero star rating. read more

Terrible experience! We went for my sisters first ever experience, after her friend had gotten her dress there. The experience started off well with the owner introducing herself and getting started with Annabelle. My sister tried many dresses, but Annabelle seemed to have difficulty really listening to what my sister was expressing about each dress. She repeatedly brought the same style of dress to be tried on, and didn't really listen to the bride and what she wanted to try. The worst part of the experience though, was the supervisor Sara! If I could send a message to the owner, it would be that this woman certainly turns away many brides. She was loud, extremely rude, and super pushy. She made rude remarks to the bride and her entourage, telling us to "try on more"--- being sarcastic as in to say she had tried on the store selection. That of course was not the case. Bottom line: The supervisor Sara completely ruined my sisters experience, made her cry, even! Shame on you! I will not recommend this place ever! read more

As a business your main goal is to satisfy your clients. I have never experienced such poor customer service. My sister is getting married, and went shopping to Vezina for her wedding dress. She really liked this one dress but obviously did not commit from her first appointment. She then called couple of days later to try it on again to make her final decision. However, the salesperson and the owner refused to let her try the dress a second time, unless she was buying it. As a bride, you don't want to rush on making a purchase. Vezina already has a bad reputation, they should lavish them with unforgettable customer service. I don't recommend this place to anyone. Don't ruin your wedding day because they definitely will! If there was an option for 0 star, that would be my option. Picking one star is being too generous! read more

By far my worst experience at a bridal shop and I felt the need to share it. (And I'm usually a pretty laid back gal)' I called a month in advance from Ireland where I live to verify of they have a specific dress. They did not have the dress but the associate asked about my budget and was telling me about the fact that they have about 800 dresses and that I will probably find something else that is similar to the model I was looking for. I was convinced and booked an appointment during my next visit in Montreal. On the D-day, I drive from Montréal to Ste-Dorothée, after an inspiring visit at Oui Je Le Voeux, excited to try on further amazing dresses. At my arrival, I was greeted with a smile and my mom and I were told to wait in the back room/fitting room. We waited for 15 mins. Then the sales associate arrived, sat down and confidently told me she knows her inventory by heart so we don't need to look at it on the ipad. I then showed her pictures of my ideal dresses (v neck, open back). She left for 5 min. Comes back with 1 dress, half my size, opposite of what I asked for (high neck, covered back), I say I don't like it. Another 5 minutes wait. She comes back with a second one, half my size again, pretty much the same as the first one. We go for a third round. Same again. My mom proceeds to say: 'I feel like they are all the same (which was true!) and kind of dull..', the sales associate bluntly and defensively answers: well.. it's just bringing what she(me) is asking me' When she left to get another dress, my mom and I were just shocked at how little she was listening to me and how rude she was to the one that would ultimately pay for the dress. She finally came back after 5 other minutes of me waiting in the middle of a cold little room full of spotlights sporting only my underwear only to tell me: Well seriously I'm sorry but I have nothing else. Your budget is too low (1500) I don't know, there is nothing..I'm sorry..' We felt she just did not feel like it and gave up. We left after trying only 3 dresses, that were half my size, being told lace is 'too expensive for my little budget'... actually 5 minutes with a dress on me, about 35 min inside the shop.. For that big decision, the moment where you need to feel supported, understood and respected, You can guess I'd say to avoid it, unless you like to overpay, get sales associate get rude to your mom and so on. read more

Awful experience. I knew the place had a bad vibe when we were left waiting for 20 mins before the owner Chantal came to introduce herself and give a long-winded speech about how her shop was the greatest and how she would purposely pull ugly dresses if she suspected that clients were taking pictures before ending with the fakest "but the bride is SO beautiful and I wish I could dress her myself..." Cold and over the top and left me feeling annoyed. Consultant then takes you to an ipad and you select dresses which is fine but I made the mistake of answering truthfully when asked if I had a dress that I loved elsewhere... the consultant was enthusiastic and told me she had the dress in both available colors....until I told her price at her competitor. Then all of a sudden I was brought the dress in only one color and Chantal came up and EVICERATED me and the dress basically telling me that I looked awful in it and that no amount of ordering the correct size (10 sizes SMALLER) and money spent on alterations (at least $1,000) would ever make that dress look good on me. She also stated that the particular brand was problematic (then why do you carry it?) and that she had sold hundreds of that dress and it was nothing special. Lets be clear the price difference was about $200 ... it would NOT have been a deterrent had the service been deserving. She humiliated me and ruined a pretty special day. She also tried to put me in dresses she deemed fit because she "knew better" and when I politely told her that I disliked them or that I knew certain features she was suggesting didn't work on me she got even more annoyed and said she didn't have time for me and that I'd need a 2-3 hour appointment with her and a consultant on a week day....no, thank you. As we were leaving she had the audacity to tell me that I would definitely be back. I remained polite and relatively composed throughout but I certainly do not intend to return. consultant had the decency to look mortified while this was happening. read more

DO NOT LET THEM RUIN YOUR EXPERIENCE!! The first time I went I felt a lot of pressure to make an immediate decision and they threatened me saying my dress wouldn't arrive on time if I didn't purchase it that day (I was there 9 months before the wedding date). I returned cuz I like the dress and I bought it, the dress I tried on fit me perfectly and I only had to hem it; the owner told me "don't worry we'll make it fit perfect for you and we'll do all the adjustments". Went to get the dress and surprise: they had ordered 2 sizes bigger than the demo! And then they gave me a price of 600$ to fix it!!! I was disappointed and upset because I had no idea that these alterations had an extra charge and also they didn't explain they were ordering a dress 2 sizes bigger (as per their suggestion) Their excuse: company policy, the demos are stretched out, we can add to a dress, it's easier to make smaller, the price is the same 1 size bigger or 2 sizes bigger The problem: nobody advised me that it had an additional cost and it obviously cost more to redo a dress than to just hem it . I'm a reasonable customer and I don't want things for free. if I was ADVISED I would've been able to make an informed decision of whether to add the extra cost to my budget or to take the risk and order the demo size, none of those choices were given to me . read more

I looked at so many places for that one special dress and only Vezina could offer me what I wanted. The service was amazing, we even exchanged instagrams with the girl who was helping me find my dress. All the other places I visited throughout Montreal were dull, not as many dress choices, all dresses look similar, and when you walk into the store you don't feel anything special, just a simple store with wedding dresses. Whereas when you walk into Vezina the decor around the store is so amazing and your mood instantly gets better, the fitting rooms are full of mirrors, everything is so bright. I just absolutely loved it!!! read more

Having read mixed reviews, we had to experience it for ourselves. My daughter was hoping to buy a ceremony & a reception dress. Positives: We were greeted upon arrival (we were a bit early too). Place is beautifully decorated and clean as should be expected. We were offered coffee & later tab water. Our consultant Jessica, very knowledgable, very nice, pulled out what my daughter had asked for plus other styles. Negatives: Not allowed to take pictures of the dresses she liked to send to her dad. We were told we can but ONLY after we sign contract. Don't even ask who the designer is because they won't tell you. Reason: "we go around the world to purchase exclusive items"- False as is their statement on their website that they "offer uncomparable choices" . Nothing exclusive there and nothing "created" there. We knew designer of one dress, since we asked to see it. The second 'mystery' dress is on their website under "Primeurs 2019". After a bit of research on internet, we found that it is a Paloma Blanca and like first dress, easily available elsewhere. Forward two days later, at another salon, my daughter said yes to two dresses with her dad's blessings where we were allowed to take pictures and videos of all she tried.... They got 2 stars because of service received from Jessica. Had they 'permitted' us to take pictures, they would have made both sales and received higher rating. read more

Please avoid at all cost. The dress was beautiful but... I purchased my dress from them for 8000$ last year. The girl that sold me the dress (Sara) and the owner (Normand) were only nice to me until I signed the contract. After that, it was a truly horrible experience. When I went to my first fitting, they were rude even after they made me wait over half an hour on a chair. The adjustments made to the dress were expensive (500 for straps and 400 for lenght) and of very poor quality. The starps kept falling on my wedding day) They actually ruined it since it never fit properly after that first time. They even tore a part of the lace and tried to patch it with a different color of thread and beads! I was so excited about my dress and I am not picky at all. Their attitude is what really ruined the experience for me. Normand is the worst and Sara was just plain rude. I can't beleive I paid people like that so much money. They made me feel like they were making me a favor by selling me dress. Beware of that first day when they are all nice and sweet. Once you sign, it's over. Please read other reviews. A lot of people had terrible experiences with them. read more

Drove out to their shop (45 min trip to the middle of nowhere in the boonies of Laval) simply to take a look at some of their hair accessories for my big day. The place looks like a barn from the outside and the inside is cramped and straight out of the 80's. Turns out, they have a "policy" (although it is not indicated anywhere on their site) whereby they refuse to sell you any accessories unless you purchased a dress from them. I was not even allowed to view them. This rudeness continued even after I asked to speak to the manager, Normand, and informed him that this policy is discriminatory and illegal according to Quebec law. I will be filing a complaint with Consumer Protection asap. No bride needs this kind of irritation! read more

My first experience trying on wedding dresses. The store itself is small, cozy, yet beautiful. My consultant was sweet at first too. The owner came into the room (as I think she always does) and gave a little speech about her store. Everything was going well, and I loved the first dress I tried on. After the 3rd dress, the consultant wanted me to try the first one back on - which I felt was a sign that she wanted to close the deal. I said ok, and tried it back on. At that point, the owner came back and literally asked me if I was saying "yes to the dress" - what???!!! I said no, I was not, as it was my first ever store and I needed to take a step back because of the pressure I felt at that moment. She then began bad mouthing other stores, saying how hers was the crème de la crème. Needless to say, I did not go back. Bummer, if they hadn't been so pushy, might've purchased my dress there! read more

STAY AWAY. These people will scam you from beginning to end. DO NOT purchase the most important dress you will wear in your life from these professional scam artists. Their staff will give you their word on one thing and then their "boss" Normand will gladly twist every word around and deny any promises. Make you order a dress that's too big and charge you $800+ for alterations because it's a "big job". Then add more charges 5 days before your wedding day when you have absolutely no choice. They prey on vulnerable brides and that's how they make their living. There are many more honest bridal stores that can accommodate you, you don't need to ruin your wedding dress shopping experience with these crooks. I completely understand previous post's (Eve M) frustration. The man's name is Normand and he is the husband of the owner and has ZERO service skills. I purchased my dress last year and had a small alteration done. I received a fixed price for the alterations (straps and sides). I only removed the straps for now. When I went to pick up the dress, Normand told me that the sides were taken in. The dress was already small and the seamstress hadn't even taken my measurements to take the sides in! He then proceeded to tell me that because the sides were already taken in, I would have to pay for more alterations. So the dress was already small and now it's even smaller. I did NOT ask nor was I measured to make it smaller.. and now I have to pay for their mistake. We also had to push the wedding date a year because there was a death in the family and when I told Normand that the wedding date is far, he said "you should have waited to do the alterations closer to your wedding date." LISTEN, YOU IDIOT! None of us can foresee death so shut your mouth. Normand is really a very big problem to the business. Chantal (owner) is a doll but Normand can really ruin the once in a lifetime experience brides have. He's a sour businessman and does not seem to understand his clients and the industry he's in. Chantal, if you see this-- he's the reason for the bad reviews. If you want you business to run smoothly, Normand does not belong there. I know many people who are getting married and I would think twice before referring them to Vezina because of him. read more

I have not dealt with the manager or owner, so I cannot comment; however, the associate that helped me try on wedding dresses was very nice. The main complaint I have about this place is that they show you approximately 5 dresses per visit and if you request to see more they get irritated. I found that strange! Isn't their goal to sell you a dress? I liked the collection they had, so i decided to return with a group of friends (they limit you to about 4 guests), since my friends encouraged me to try on more than 5 dresses, the assistant was outnumbered and had to bring me more. It's an important day and the having a nice dress matters to me. If i'm going to spend a couple of thousand dollars on it, I believe I reserve the right to try on as many as I please. They also don't want to reveal the designer names of their dresses, but you can easily find them online. In the end, I did not purchase a dress from them because I didn't find what I was looking for. Maybe my dream dress was hanging somewhere on their racks, but I never found out as they kept limiting the number of dresses they wanted me to try on (and I'm referring to only 15 dresses total). So I had to make separate appointments just to try on 5 dresses at a time. Not worth my time at all! read more

The entire experience at Creation Vezina was unprecedented! I arrived with my mother to the studio and immediately the attentiveness of the staff was seen. They tried to respect the mother's position by making her as comfortable as possible all the while separating us in order to create two unbiased views of the dresses presented before us. I was impressed at the immense catalogue of dresses by amazing designers presented to me in a state of the art method and the method at which they were able to triage down my selections. The creativity of the staff, their ability to modify, find alternatives in the style we wanted was remarkable. It was a private experience, without interruptions and with the added advantage of having the seamstress present to help us visualize the modifications we wanted and bring them into reality. I tried less than 5 dresses until we got to the dress of my dreams-a testament of how good the ladies were at understanding what we liked. I cannot wait to wear my perfect dress on my wedding day. I highly recommend creations Vezina for the entire experience. The dress came in quickly and I was able to return to Toronto with an amazing find for our wedding. Thank you to the team! read more

Being a business owner myself I am sincerely disgusted by the way this store conducts business. UNETHICAL, DISHONEST and UNPROFESSIONAL are the correct terms to best sum up this place. if I had known that the owner of this place would be so nasty I would've never purchased my wedding gown from them. My experience at vezina started with lies and ended with lies. First, they have the most stupid policy where they make their employees lie to you about the brand of the gown you are falling in love with. Their worry is if they tell you the brand of the dress they fear you might go get it elsewhere. I was lied to about the brand I was trying on and the day that I put a deposit on the dress they told me the brand. They also make it a point to remove all the labels from the gowns. In my opinion, that is completely idiotic. If I am going to spend thousands of dollars on a products then it is my right to know what I brand I am purchasing. I wonder if I report this to the consumer protective bureau what the outcome would be? Second lie the owner Normand Germain made to me. When I ordered my dress we had agreed to order 1 yard of extra lace as I wanted to modify a part of my dress. Normand told me it would cost me maximum $250.00. Months later when it came time to go pay my balance they tell me the lace will cost me $350.00. When I confronted him about this sudden increase in price he responded with " well for 50.00$ more (plus tax) I didn't find it necessary to call you). Normand went from being a lying salesman to my accountant and financial advisor! Ha ha ha ha. My story only gets better.... When it came time to order my veil he tells me the original price is $750.00 plus tax and after negotiating he was "kind" enough to lower the price to $550.00 plus tax. Keep in mind at this moment he didn't want to honour what we had agreed to pay for the extra piece of lace and he was insisting that he had never told me $250.00. Hence, an argument arose. Normand turned red like a tomato and let's keep in mind Normand is almost a 50 year old man. But at this moment Normand red with anger transforms into a little boy and takes my file in his hands angrily and storms out of the room leaving my mother and me alone in his office. Once his temper tantrum was over he decided to walk back into his office and tell me that he will not be ordering me my veil only because my mother and I were sticking up for what was promised and not delivered. Now it keeps getting better lol he wanted me to pay the remainder of the balance of my dress only to keep it there and come back in March to have it altered. Do I look like a moron !? Who in their right mind would trust someone to pay a full amount on a dress and keep it there to only come back for it in March and do the alterations then. This turned into another argument with Mr. Normand but finally he came to his senses and decided not to take the remainder of my balance owing until I picked it up. But the story keeps getting better.... A month after this in edit t I get a phone call from them telling me the price of the veil Normand didn't want to order for me is going up in price due to the American currency rate and if I want it I should rush in that week to sign a deal. Well guess what Normand!? I found the same exact veil for $380.00 else where and guess what Normand!? The place where you purchase this veil from is located in Ontario. That's in Canada! So you sure the price of the veil is still going up due to the american? This nasty man upset my mother so much by telling her he will not order her daughter her wedding veil that my poor mother took it to heart and her blood pressure hit 200. The next day she had to be put on blood pressure pills for the rest of her life. This man has no heart . I'm my mothers only daughter and she has waited this long for this moment and you're telling her you will not order her daughter her veil because of your dishonesty. Seriously? I know it's a stupid reason for my mother to make herself sick like this but if you're in this business for 20 plus years then you should know by now that your clients are all coming there shopping emotionally and instead of taking advantage of this be a little more compassionate. dont cut the hand that feeds you. He tells me how he's succesful, in his career and how the wives of great hockey players shop from his store.... I don't need to be the wife of a hockey player to get proper and ethical service. every client no matter what their social status who comes to buy from you deserves the right kind of treatment. All this to say ... If I had known better I would've completely avoided this store especially this nasty man! read more

Faire l'achat de sa robe de mariée est une chose très importante et spéciale pour toute femme qui se marie. Je me suis dirigée sur la place saint Hubert pensant que c'était la place mais après des heures de magasinage je suis revenue a la maison triste de mon expérience. Une amie m'a alors référée a création Vézina de Laval. Et effectivement, elle avait raison ça en valait le détour!! Le service est excellent!! On m'a écoutée et respectée dans mes choix! Très attentionnée envers les goûts et les besoins de la mariée! Aucune pression, très patient, bref une super belle expérience! Je viens de la rive sud de Montréal et je vous le dit, perdez pas votre temps sur la plaza et allez directement vers création Vézina ça en vaut le déplacement je vous le dit!!! The Vezina team was fantastic! My favourite shop I visited - I wish I'd gone to them first! My consultant (as well as her coworker) were accommodating, enthusiastic and SO excited to help me find my dress! Aia was one of the most cheerful and personable stylists I encountered in 10+ stores during my dress search. She asked the right questions, made suggestions, and listened extremely well to mine and my guests' critiques and comments about each dress. She welcomed me for my appointment with a determined "are you ready to find your dress?!" and held up to that lovely intro by finding a dress that suited me and my budget. :) They patient and understanding of what I did and didn't want in a dress, upon seeing pictures of my 'dress to beat' from another boutique, Sara even recommended a simple alteration to the dress I had on at Vezina that would make it very similar to what I liked about the other. Today I found my dress... I hadn't been anywhere else which means I l never tried on a wedding dress before. I had no direction simply an idea of what I wanted but wasn't sure. My consultant Blanche was so patient with me, she kept bringing me styles to try on and always stayed positive. The last dress I tried on was MY dress. I was so ecstatic that I could have yelled from pure joy! Chantal Vezina the owner was also very present which is reassuring for any bride. The staff was not only nice but extremely passionate and really went out of their way to make me, my mom and my sister feel comfortable and at ease without any stress! It was such a beautiful experience, really what every bride deserves! It didn't feel fake or superficial but like a family affair. THANK YOU to Blanche and Chantal! Genna read more

I know that some people loves to hurt people and Understand if some people had a disagreement but no one is perfect and we all have our forces but it general, the service at Creation Vezina is excellent. The people there are very excellent and always there for their customers. Normand is a great guy and is great with people and his forces are in the office. Chantal and all of the others employees are amazing so don't judge one bad experience because 700 other customers was very satisfied. While I was there with a bride ( in my family) a few time, I just saw great services and people of heart. I will suggest this place every time. Thank you. read more

I usually don't write a lot reviews but I have to say that my experience at Creation Vezina was simply amazing! Thanks to Chantal Vezina herself, that was present during all the process and what can I say about Marie-Christine; she's the one that truly help me find the dress of my dream. The service is amazing. Forget crowdy Plaza St-Hubert, here the team is formed to find The dress for your wedding that will fit your personality and your budget. Wow !!! My experience at Vezina was so much greater than i could have ever imagined. I found my beautiful dress here thanks to Sara, for putting in all her hard work and great patients. She was so calm that it allowed me to stay calm. She is very professional and kind. If you need a bridal consultant she is your girl !!!! Every bride is a princess on your wedding day. That is the treatment that Vezina Creations promised you when you step in their doorway. You are swept away into a realm of white dresses, flowing veils and shiny tiaras. If you want this kind of experience. They will not disappoint you. read more
