I visited and after having a pleasant first experience, I received an offer to purchase a package. I did so. With one remaining, I received a message asking me to book the last one soon. Options were limited so I selected what was available. A day or so later, I had death in the family so I canceled. The appointment was canceled four days in advance. I received a reply asking me if a week later at the same time would work. I indicated it wouldn't and that I'd contact her at a later time to reschedule. Agnes replied with. "Make sure you schedule asap. I'll get busy during the holiday season and will not be accepting the package next year". When it was purchased, an expiration was not mentioned or provided at any time. Upon hearing this, I pointed out that no timeframe was given and it appeared to be offered as a way to retain new clients. I also explained that this arbitrary decision was self serving and sent at a very difficult time for me. I went to explain I was dealing with death in the family and asked Agnes to put me down for ANY time between Dec 26-31 and I'd be there. Or, given the exchange. I offered to have her refund me via the method used (Zelle). To be clear, Agnes did NOT schedule me as requested and she did NOT return the money. In response to the comment below:: I told her I couldn't talk much more due to grief and she continued to send long paragraphs as if it was a lovers quarrel. I reminded her of her repeated pleas for "good" reviews and stated that this misleading and self serving practice is something others should be aware of. It's how others make informed decisions. I waited to see if she'd do the right thing and she didn't. ... I contacted her with my Zelle info on 5/21/2024.

While meditating MASSAGE came to me like a bolt of lightning, I didn't pause I ran with it. Searching a school that I could do at my own pace (I had to stay at my current job until completed) AND affordable I found SOHMAR. I met with Mike and instantly knew this was my place. BEST DECISION I MADE. From the first class to the last it was like being part of a family. We learned from each other, exchanged techniques and ideas (I miss that part a lot). As for the instructors, Mike (the owner) and Steve (a former student of SOHMAR). I can't express enough how valuable the knowledge and techniques they've passed on to us are. I graduated last August and passed MBLEX in September. I am currently employed and working on starting my own practice. My current clients constantly comment on my skills. I have Mike, Steve and my classmates to thank for that and am forever grateful. I was given the tools I need and more importantly the confidence to succeed. Even after graduation I keep in touch with some of my, now colleagues, and know I can always call on Steve or Mike for advice. I also got my reflexology certification through SOHMAR.
