Her enthusiasm, taste, style, persona, eye for detail, organization skills, project management, and overall friendliness are beyond reproach, Myself and my wife had been on the fence about selling or renovating and were losing hope of finding a contractor until my wife found Krisanna and Recast Homes. From the moment we met her both my wife and I felt at ease, relaxed and the weigh of what seemed like the world was lifted. It was now an easy decision and we were staying in our home! One thing that jumped out at us and was a fantastic bonus is that she is not only a GC but also an interior / exterior designer. We spoke with Krisanna about remodeling our kitchen, making our laundry room more functional, updating the downstairs powder room, changing the flooring, redoing the stairs, building a loft and adding a wall to separate the dining room from the front room. What happened next blew us away! She took all the ideas that we had and then added to and enhanced each of them. Krisanna laid out a clear and concise timeline for the project and was able to tell us what was happening on each day and week for the duration of the renovation. Once we committed to the project the scale of the project became apparent to us but Krisanna was able to get ahead of any issue and would meet with us in person and by phone to discuss colors, materials, style, lighting. Once all the decision were made the demo started on time and on the day we had planned. Like every renovation project there are always unforeseen issues and we had water damage at the back door, powder room and under the kitchen island from slow leaks due to old bad CPVC piping. Krisanna immediately informed us of what was found, had a plan in place and repairs scheduled the same day. She would also arrive to the house and say things "like I have been thinking about this wall ..... we should leave a section open at the top for added light" and it made the wall 10x better. The samples she brought, the colors, paint, the furnishings, accessories, stove ideas, kitchen pendants and faucets were all exactly what we had wanted but could not put together on our own. Her help with the flooring was incredibly and spent many hours with us at CFM helping us decide on what worked best for the cabinetry color scheme. The finished product is jaw dropping and the quality of the finish is outstanding. We are delighted with how the house looks and how functional it now is. I have an office again, we have a Loft for a kids play room, a beautiful kitchen, front room, dinning room, family room and the laundry room is exceptional. If you have project and need a general contractor or designer then the only realistic option is Krisanna and Recast Home. She is simply the absolute best!!!

We had a surprisingly bad experience with this company for what we assumed would be an easy garage…read moredoor paint job. We were referred by the gentleman who installed the garage door. He was confident the job would be done well, and judging by the reviews, this is probably true most the time. In our case it started OK. A painter came by "in the morning," as no exact time was told to me. He arrived around 9am and painted. It took a little over 1.5 hours. He had me come out to see and without examining it too thoroughly it seemed to be a decent job. With further inspection though, the border of the actual door wasn't painted. So, when opening and closing the rubber border bends and you can plainly see the white underneath. I am not a painter, but I think that part should be painted as the installer said that should be the case. The other issue we had was on me. We never discussed exactly what we were looking for in regards to the window borders and the trim around the door and the extra details of the job. We wanted the borders white, but the painter automatically painted it all the same color. The end result looks unfinished unfortunately, as if it came straight from the factory in a plain solid color. Again, I could have been specific and I should have been. But I feel also that a professional company should probably make sure of the customer's desired finish product before assuming and completing the job. But hey, I get it. Bad things happen. Miscommunication happens. However, that doesn't excuse the unprofessionalism. The biggest negative aspect is the unanswered texts, the no show appointments, and the discussions that confirmed things about the job that ended up being not true. We were assured we didn't need to be at the house when the painter came the second time, but that ended up not being true. The painter knocked and we didn't answer because we weren't there and he left. He needed access to the opener. Things like this just kept happening until eventually we just didn't get any updates or communication from them. They stated we were scheduled for a Thursday (yesterday) and a Friday (today). Neither day they showed. And no answers from texts or calls as to why. I get that it's a busy time for everyone and home improvement is a desired service right now. That doesn't mean the customer needs to be ignored though. Does it? I was more than flexible in our expectations and timeline. I'm disappointed we couldn't resolve it as I don't enjoy giving negative reviews. We are going to finish the job ourselves and wish we would have just done that from the beginning.

Fine Finish Painting & Contracting has completed several projects for us on a house we were…read moreremodeling. 1) Drywall: texture removal, re-texture, lots of patches, a new closet, and two new walls. The most remarkable part was the matching of ceiling knockdown texture; it looks amazing. After painting, a few patched areas were still a bit noticeable in which the crew quickly refinished the area and now looks perfect. 2) Exterior Siding: removal of stucco on entire front of house and install of hardi. The crew worked extremely fast and efficient. Ty was always quick to let me know of any discoveries after the removal of the stucco and provided me with options to resolve and the cost associated. Ty really understood my budgetary restrictions and worked within my means. 3) Trim and Doors: Ty worked directly with my door supply vendor to ensure the correct materials were procured. Once they arrived, Ty's finish carpenter, Dave, installed them. New doors and trim look beautiful! 4) Cabinet fillers and crown moulding: Even though our ceiling was uneven (like a lot of ceilings), Dave was able to install so that it appears completely level. The cabinetry looked completely custom after the fillers and moulding were installed. Overall, Ty and his crew were awesome to work with! There was a lot of transparency and open communication. Ty was available all the time and responses were immediate. He is great at managing his crew and meeting deadlines as promised. I would happily hire Fine Finish Painting and Contracting again and likely will on our next project.

Refresh Renovations did a GREAT job bringing our guest bedroom back from the dead. We had a pipe…read moreburst in mid-January, which flooded the downstairs guest bedroom AND the landing connecting the stairs leading up to the main floor. We didn't rush the repairs, because EVERYTHING had to dry out, thoroughly. By summer, we were able to start the recovery, researching and interviewing several companies including Refresh Renovations whose bid was on the lower end. It took about a month, from the initial wreckage removal to the last trim on the walls along the newly-restored and carpeted flooring. The insulation, drywalling, painting, and detailing were meticulously done. The different crews of workers were prompt, courteous, and thorough, and never left a mess behind. I kept thinking about that TV commercial for an interior refurbishing company, showing a badly flooded home that wound up looking "like it never even happened" when the recovery was complete. Refresh Renovations also has a follow-up program to check back in, over the next year, to see how their work has held up. I hope we never have another "mess-adventure" like this, but if we do, I'm calling Refresh Renovations, first thing! - Mary Lyon Lake Oswego
