That being said I have gone there and they were out of the chemicals I needed so ended up going to Leslies to purchase what was needed. Only once though. I had lots of questions about pool pumps and pool filters so I walked into Crystal Pool & Spa for some answers. I was greeted by Dave. He answered all my questions and more. 30 plus years of info and suggestions. Has a great work ethic and set me up with a perfect plan for my pool. I set the appointment to install. Extremely efficient service is what I got, a long with more information on how to care for my troublesome pool. If I could rate his service between 1-10, he'd get 10 plus! His estimate was fair and when the job was done he came in under the estimate. Can't say enough about this guy! He was very honest and straight forward. I just installed an above ground pool in my yard for the first time and needed someone to to line me out with supplies and give me a quick rundown on pool chemistry. No big deal right? Wrong! The elderly man behind the counter proceeded to make a smart ass remark implying that I was wasting his time. After I made it clear to him that I wasn't in the mood for any B.S. he shifted gears and got down to business. I met his wife a few days earlier when I dropped by the store to ask a few questions. You can tell she is a firecracker but she was helpful and I thanked her. Business must be really good if he thinks he can disrespect his customers. Very professional and reliable. Our pool pump motor blew up. Also the pool sweep was in need of replacement. When we awoke to a green pool one morning we phoned Crystal Pools. The repair man returned Our call and assessed the situation. He arrived to the appointment with new equipment in hand . Excellent customer service!! I recently purchase a huge above ground pool and had zero knowledge of how to maintain it. So I first headed to a chain pool supply store in Modesto and had a horrible experience (no one greeted me, walked around looking for help-when I finally found someone he talked a mile a minute I had to ask him to slow down and tell him I I was new at this, and his reply was "sorry I just have a lot of work to get done"...and I'm thinking well I'm your customer and I need help). Anyway, the next day I thought I'd swing by Crystal Pool And Spa. Sure the outside doesn't look like its been updated for a while, but once I walked in and was greeted by the man, I knew he was going to help me. Luckily I had brought in a water sample. I recently purchased a home with a pool. Lacking any knowledge of how a pool sweep works, I knew enough to know that is wasn't working properly. My husband and I just had a new above ground pool installed. We took a water analysis report down and the owner was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He did not try to up sell us on extra chemicals. Prices are more than reasonable. Our report showed we needed calcium supplements and he explained we did not. He took ample time to show us how to test the water weekly and how to add all of the chemicals to the pool. His store is neat and tidy and well stocked. I just moved into a new home and had a doughboy pool with a deck around it sitting there for quite some time. It was green and disastrous. After I visited the staff at Crystal Pool, I was relieved to know that they were there to help and very knowledgeable. In just a couple of days, my pool was crystal clear. They gave me all the advice and even answered my questions every time I called. They never made me feel like I was bothering them and insisted I called for any questions I may have. I only wish that they had store in north/west Modesto. I live near the mall and now bypass the pool stores around the mall area and make the trek to crystal pools on Oakdale Rd. because I really appreciate their keen attention to service and details. They let me know exactly what I need without the overstated sales pitching I got from other stores on products not really needed. My pool pump needed an impeller and all the "other guys" didn't keep it in the stock and had to order it. This was the only place in Modesto that had what I was looking for. Exceptional service! Personally I've always felt like the service industry (Mechanics, HVAC, Electricians) can really gauge non- technical folks like myself. However, not only did I feel like we were dealing with an honest company, but he went out of his way to educate us (pool rookies) on all of the mechanics of the pool. Went in to have my pool water tested cause I was having issues with the chlorine level. She was amazing told me everything I needed to do step by step what needed to be done now and what could wait since I was short on money. she told me not to feel overwhelmed that she was gonna help me and let me know what I need to do. I couldn't remember a part she told me so I called back and she was happy to help.
