It took me holding in the line nearly 10 minutes to be told that no one could answer my question, but that it had been directed to someone in the factory who would call me back. They knew a lot about the items in the store and anything they were unsure of they found more information for me. The building itself is beautifully designed and a staple of Freeport history. My only concern was that my older mother had a difficult time getting up the large concrete stairs because there's no handicap-friendly entrance. However, our experience inside Abacus was wonderful. Perfect spot to find a wedding or bridal shower gift. I had gone in to purchase a new tide clock for my mother, the mechanism in hers no longer worked (after many years). Before I even picked out a clock the employee informed me that the mechanism can be replaced for only 7 dollars while a new clock was 50 dollars. I was so impressed she informed me of this voluntarily and potentially missing a sale. I bought a new clock and plan to have the old one fixed. The other aspect it love about this store is the space. You can browse and see everything without feeling as though your purse will knock over a 100 dollar piece of pottery. Defiantly check this place out if you're in need of a unique gift.
