BEST HIDDEN SOUVENIR SHOP IN MAUI! You'll be able to find all the standard Maui memorabilia, which satisfies most people, but then she has jewelry, crystals, clothes, cards, trinkets, wind chimes, art, photo frames... you name it, it's probably here. And it's so conveniently near the airport. And perfectly located to waste time and find something sweet :) Besides good prices and a pretty large inventory, Chu is an absolute doll! I've been here for several things in the past but what keeps me coming back now, is the crystals. I'm on the beginning of my crystal journey, and she is always so helpful and knowledgeable. One of the few vendors I revisit time and time again and can chit chat with. She has the best stones/prices for jewelry making on the island and knows her products. She gets 1-2 supply deliveries/mo. She is always very transparent if something is man made or naturally occurring. I've never felt pressured to buy anything which is a HUGE relief. I love being in here because we can either do our own thing, or talk about stones, but she never uses sales tactics that are usually so apparent and gross feeling to be on the receiving end of. Because she conducts her store this way, it creates an atmosphere I LOVE being in. No matter what you're buying, having freedom to roam and explore without offering deals or selling at you, it makes your shopping so peaceful. Like I said, I am on the beginning of my crystal journey and she has been so sweet. I have asked literally a hundred questions lol and never has she gotten annoyed. She has shown me nothing but respect, and helps me learn in a positive way. If I ask for a stone with an intended emotional purpose, she gives me several options, allows me time to hold each one to discern which has a more magnetic pull to my spirit. And if she doesn't know specific details to my questions (I ask a lot lol, she's so very patient), she will give me her crystal bible to consult, though usually I just use my phone. This is also nice. Most salesmen/women will overly boast their knowledge. She doesn't do that. She tells you what she knows, which is a lot. And if she doesn't, she's just honest. It's so nice to be treated with respect, humility, transparency, and patience from a business owner. There aren't many businesses like this anymore. Visiting Chu is a MUST, whether you live here or are visiting, you won't regret it I will be coming back here very very frequently :) Ps don't give her a hard time about the sanitizer, she's just a lady running a shop who doesn't want to get sick. This is a pretty good place to buy gifts for your loved ones back home. They have something for everyone. I got Maui Hooks for the kids, ceramic to best friends, cups and refri magnets for friends as well, lava rock bracelet for another good friend, a turtle sticker for my car, etc. The lady attending at the shop was very nice and she helped me wrap up everything nicely for my way back home. The worst experience I have ever came across.. as soon as I walked in I said hello because no one was present then the worker came in from the back clearly on the phone on speaker and said "GO BACK AND SANITIZE" which we quickly did but she then went back still on the phone to the back. We had a wonderful time in this crystal shop. I've been seeing a lot of 5 star reviews and a lot of 1 star reviews. I can say that our customer service today was excellent and worth 5 stars. The quality of pieces is also 5 stars. Super unique stuff that we have never seen before. They also sell really nice jewelry. And the prices were much much better than what we are used to in LA. Totally agree with Jennifer N. Vacationing from out of town. Love to pick up a few crystals from my travels. Was looking for a specific necklace for gifts and asked her. Mind you, she didn't say a word to us since entering store for 20 min. RUDE!Walked over to the counter I was at and said."we dont have". Went to pay for a small rose quartz and her words were..."how much is it?" Really??? You asking me? She seemed annoyed that I didnt know! Paid and proceeded to exit the store, I saw an entire rack of what I was looking for. Ok...maybe if the lady didnt try to cram so much in a little store, SHE herself would know what she carries??? The most rude woman i have ever seen running a store. Dont touch anything because she has things out that are broken so if it drops she will try to make you pay for it.
