Disgusted! The worst cleaners ever! I would've left zero stars if I could. I paid for 8 "man hours"--2 people for 4 hours. I told them my priorities and nothing got cleaned! What did these people do for 4 hours? Light fixtures dusty, cobwebs throughout, oven filthy, kitchen drawers still dirty. I am beyond angry! Like a previous reviewer mentioned, I might as well have just wrote a check to have them walk in my front door and then leave 4 hours later. Now I have to go back to the house (a rental) and redo/do everything they were supposed do--that I paid for. By the way, this business is NOT closed. I just hired them last week. I don't normally post bad reviews, but here goes - a zero if possible. Pam came out to look at my place for cleaning, painting and repairs. I was generally impressed with her responsiveness and what appeared to be a professional outfit. After eliminating other bids, I contacted Pam a few days later to discuss the arrangements; I also wanted to understand why the poor ratings. Well I basically got delayed and generally blown off for the better part of a week. Never got any calls back after I was pushed off several times on scheduled calls. I rarely give negative reviews here but I have to say that Crystal Dove is The Worst service ever! My wife hired these people to clean our small 900sq/ft studio. They came in late looking like the living dead. One lady complained of being sick and took a break every 15-30 min. so she could go outside and smoke a cigarette... I think I know why she was sick (I'll look forward to picking up the tab on her health care later as well). More to the point: they just did a TERRIBLE JOB cleaning (I'm not getting into the details of this but these people spend several hours in our house doing very little cleaning). In fact, we called the owner and let her know of our dissatisfaction and to her credit sent another person at no charge to finish the job. However this person complained to us about having to work on her "day off". Well apparently she decided to spend her day off getting paid by us to complain because we didn't see much cleaning going on. What a major waste of our time. Eventually my wife just made her leave and I found my wife frustrated in tears as we cleaned the house OURSELVES. Unbelievable is all there is to be said. Worst cleaning service ever, should have checked yelp first. The 2 people who showed up arrived on time, so I was happy with that. They came in smelling like cigarettes. They introduced themselves and asked what I wanted done. I showed them what I wanted. They asked if there was anything specific if not they do the kitchen first, followed by bathrooms, ect. I said that is fine and do the daycare room if there is time. Usually I leave when my house is being cleaned but I had the feeling not to so I stayed in my bedroom until they vacuumed and cleaned the master bath (spend like 15 minutes total in there). It took 2 people an hours and a half to clean my kitchen, not quite sure why it took so long or what they did besides wipe down the counters, clean the sink, and microwave. The apparently one of them decided to go to the daycare room, all that was done was the shelves were wiped down. My floors were not even touched in the kitchen, living room, bathrooms, or daycare room. They vacuumed the bedrooms (only floors touched), which my 9 year old could have done a better job. The vacuum smelled terrible and was a piece of crap. They didn't move my cable cord to vacuum around, and missed another penny test I put down. I have never had a cleaning company NOT empty my trash, specially in my bathrooms. Dusting, haha they dusted the top of a book shelf but not the other shelves. They didn't even move anything, they just dusted around it. Even a penny I placed to exactly test how good they were. Master bath, there is no way the shower was touched, they kind of cleaned the toilet. Floors were not touched in there at all, not even swept. The "mop" they brought was a swifter, which didn't get used because they were way too slow. Rags, they each had 1, and were just rising it off. What kind of company brings 2 rags (1 per person) to a 6 hour cleaning job? I had 6 man hours and no floors touched and I still have to clean A LOT. Save your money do NOT use them. If we could give this company 0 stars we would. My sweet husband heard an add on the radio and hired this company to clean our home as a surprise for me while we were away one day. It's really sad but I didn't even know anything had been done when I arrived home. He left them a list of what we wanted done and we really aren't quite sure anything but a quick wipe down happened. The bathrooms were just as dirty as we left them. The shower still had my hair stuck on the walls! We took pictures of everything and will ask for a refund as it was really that bad! Please look else where if looking for a cleaning service. Wish we would have read the other reviews beforehand. Oh well...lesson learned! * update: My husband called the owner and let her know the situation we returned home to. She has 35 employee's! I paid for a Groupon deal to have them come out and clean for 4 hours (2 people). Things were left dusty and dirty, and they also completely missed one of the bathrooms... I was super dissatisfied. They were also late showing up (about 15 minutes), and I later found out the price I paid on Groupon was higher than a regular special on their website. When they called me to schedule and I asked about the pricing, she told me I had to pay the higher price and was less than empathetic. I see now they're closed- not surprised. My initial visit with owner was scheduled and cancelled by her. Second consultation was cancelled by her. She finally came for initial consultation 1+ weeks later. We booked to start the initial deep cleaning for the next week. Owner called and cancelled because the girls were not available. I asked when she could fit me in and she said next month and made no attempt to hurry the process for me. I emailed Pam asking how an initial deep cleaning (for more money) would be any different than my weekly regular cleaning would be (4 hours) for $75.00. Was uncertain how you can deep clean in the same amount of time it would take to do the regular monthly cleaning. Seems common sense that deep cleaning and more expensive charge would equal more time to complete the job. One month later, I was booked for an initial, deep cleaning of 4 hours for $99.00. Two girls hurried through the "deep" cleaning and didn't even dust the items on a table (clocks, lamps), the bottoms of the dressers/tables and dust behind the computers on the desks, leaves left on the carpet, parts of the floor still had dust bunnies on it and one of the showers was not even cleaned. I spoke to both girls and reminded them I paid for a deep cleaning and didn't even get a standard, regular cleaning. They promised that next month they would make up for it and do better. I did not report this to the owner, Pam. The next month, no one came. Pam called two days later, having heard that the girls had not come to several locations. She sent two girls out that day and I had a very good cleaning. I was hopeful that things would work out. The next month, they came without the promised steamer for the wood floors, so one of them took off to get it. 1 and 1/4 hours later she returned without a steamer. They were only booked to be at my house for 2 hours. She now had to make up the time and I had an 11:30 appt. somewhere. Needless, to say that the job was rushed and poorly completed. The next month, Pam called to tell me the the girls could not come as scheduled. I had already decided, that I would cancel if any more difficulties/excuses came up. I spoke openly with Pam about the poor quality of work and the reliability of her staff of workers. She wanted me to continue with her, but I said I was tired of the excuses for no show and the quality of work. Bottom line, I told Pam, "I give you money and you clean the house as promised". I'm surprised the reviews were so terrible. They didn't do an amazing job on my home but what they did clean, they cleaned well! I had the 2 person job for 4 hours at $150. You get what you pay for. My list of particulars were met. Our dirty bathtub is spotless, the carpet is very clean (some stair corners missed), most cob webs were take care of, and all surfaces were cleaned. I would recommend leaving a full checklist as they didn't follow everything I was told they would do. There was a miscommunication about the key, so I know they started at least 15 min late, I got home about 20 min before they should have been done but they were gone. Didn't get my full 4 hours, didn't get everything I wanted, but my home is very clean overall and I got a great deal! :) Expect a "deep clean" of only the things you ask them to clean. read more

We went back and fourth trying to schedule and reschedule appointments after multiple excuses of why they couldn't make the last. After almost 2 weeks of trying to schedule a "move out" cleaning and paying an extra $120 on rent just waiting for them to actually show I gave up and told my landlord to charge me for cleaning which will surely be an exorbitant amount. Spoke to Pam the owner who at first made me feel great about everything she was promising me. He deal was 350 for 3 people from 11-5 or something along those lines can't remember correctly but it was her ultra deep cleaning special. Well to start only 2 people showed up then 1 man left the site for at least 2 hours so I was left with 1 person who's main focus was the kitchen and well it was awful nothing was cleaning cabinets still had grease on them and oven dirty floor dirty they didn't touch the downstairs. like we didn't feel like anything really got done it was . Then 5 o'clock came around and as they were leaving we were looking and thinking this is awful and wondering wtf I gave each person there a 20 in tip because that's the type it person I am I feel bad not tipping even though I shouldn't. I was told they would definitely come back and finish cuz I paid for something and didn't even get half of what was promised by Teresa I believe was her name. She also told me that Pam the boss would be calling to get it fixed. Here is where i about fucking shit a brick. Pam calls me talking about how it's not her fault they didn't finish and she only made 100+ on this job and if they finished what she promises she would lose money or maybe only make 1-2 dollars which I thought was comical. We need to be able to leave a negative five stars!!! I called and schedule a appt to come have a deep clean service, when the people arrived I explained to them what I would like done as priorities. Nothing was done and the things that were done were of very poor quality!!! So I complained to the owner Pam and she resent out cleaners for another two hours to go over my priority items. Needless to say, although they finished some items I am still not satisfied because they also did not listen to instructions and just did whatever they wanted first verses doing priority first they insisted on re-cleaning items last people did and a couple new things. Ashley (I believe that was her name) told me they had openings in a few weeks, sent me pricing after I told her the size of my home. We have a vacant home for sale that has new paint and carpet and needed a good cleaning of the kitchen and bathrooms. We purchased an Angle's deal for six hours of cleaning for $130 for Crystal Dove Cleaning in Moro Bay. Note the price on their web site has it for $120. We called to schedule the service and left a voice mail. The following day we had a voicemail from a person named Ashley telling us we would not be happy with the Angle's deal for cleaning and said we should use their $350 cleaning service. She said if we are interested to call back and leave a voicemail or better yet send a text message. I checked Yelp for Crystal Dove Cleaning in Moro Bay and there were 19 reviews and they were rated 1 star. I contacted Angle's List and they promptly refunded my credit card. read more

Bad, bad customer service. I had an appointment for 9 a.m. No-one showed. I called at 9.15. I was called at 9.25 to say they were running late, sorry, they would be there in half an hour. (I had to call them first). At 10.30 nobody had arrived. I called and cancelled. (I have a time schedule, too). Evidently they showed at 10.45. I got a message from a girl in the office (not the owner), saying they cleaners were surprised that the door was not open! Brilliant! They wanted to reschedule and offered me $20 off! Another insult. I highly recommend you do not use this cleaning service. I had an appointment for a deep clean and was told the cleaners were fired due to being unreliable so my appointment would have to be moved. I allowed for this and was given an appointment 2 weeks later. I txted the owner 2 days before the appointment to confirm it was still happening and she said she would have to confirm with her cleaners. I received a txt the next day (one day before the scheduled service) and was once again told it would have to be moved because she had no cleaners in N. County. Crystal dove cleaning service has the worst customer service I have ever experienced in San Luis Obispo. Being that this was my first house cleaning experience, a friend told me they were very reasonable, so I checked their website, and front and center it says 6 hours for $120. I thought this was a great deal, so I booked it and had the cleaners come. After 3 hours they said they were done, and needed 3 more to finish the job. Per the website I thought I was getting 6 hours, but turns out that is "man hours," which was not clearly stated on the website. When I spoke to the owner she went straight into defense mode and argued with me. It was completely unprofessional. She said that her Facebook page in which she has over 70,000 likes states the information correctly. Well if I looked at her Facebook page I would have know, but I didn't. I looked at the website, in which I believe should have the proper information. In the end she said she was going to refund my money, but I still have not seen this refund, and it's been 3 weeks. All in all I'm happy with the cleaning I got today. I didn't check yelp until this morning right before they showed up. I had seen the ad on Craigs list, and called to get the deep cleaning special. When I checked the reviews on here I got really nervous. I came home to a clean house, base boards we done, stairs vaccumed. The grout in my kitchen was white. Bathrooms were clean, everything looks good :) Very happy over all. The only problem I had was the trash wasn't taken out, and the sheets on the bed were not changed even though I left them on the bed. I would defiantly use this company again. read more

Over 15 min late, didn't stay longer. Appliances left with a filmy residue after being "wiped." Just moved dust around then hit her hip with the duster throwing it all around the room. Most furniture was still dusty after they were done.Soap scum still left on bathroom fixtures, didn't even touch the shower door. There was no deep cleaning, not even surface cleaning. Used The Maids before, and just ended up with things broken and the cleaners lying. Have nothing but positive experiences with Crystal Dove. This is the worst cleaning service. I have hired many cleaning services in my life but have never quite run into anyone as bad as Pam of Crystal Dove! After arranging services to just clean my floors especially my new wood laminate floors; Pam sends over 2 workers with no steam cleaner as requested. The employee,, Andrea tells me this afternoon when she arrives that the steam cleaner is broken and Pam (the owner) was aware of it.. I told her I would not need their services if they couldn't clean my floors as requested. they tried to call her but she was unreachable which is always the case. I told the employees to tell Pam not to call me. Well, after awhile after I left my house and Pam calls and asks me "what's the problem?" I told her I wanted my floors steamed cleaned and her employees show up without a steam cleaner. Then she tries to blame her employee who was unaware of my needs! Zero Star Rating!!!! I was very very disappointed by this business. Initially, I called and left a message; stating I wanted my home cleaned. I was text'd and instructed I should go on-line and schedule my apt. Which I did. I scheduled the specific day and 6 hours of cleaning. As soon as I did this, I realized I had an apt. in SLO on day I had just scheduled. I tried to edit the hours to 3 hours instead of 6. I once again texted the business and explained my situation. She texted me responding she would change it for me. Day before my apt. I received an email confirmation my apt. for 6 hrs. I called to attempt to clarify, since I wanted to resolve before worker showed up next day. I left a message stating this. I never spoke to a "real person." As a business woman myself, I know some of this could have been avoided with a one on one conversation. The whole experience was like "pulling teeth." My home was not difficult to clean since it was empty. On day of my apt. two very young people (a couple) arrived a few minutes after 9. One or both reeked of cigarettes. I asked them if they were here for 3 hrs., they confirmed, that was accurate. I instructed them as to what I wanted done. The young man worked on bedrooms, while wife went to kitchen to wipe cabinets. I remained in home the whole time. As soon as young girl removed her sweatshirt I realized she was pregnant. She later told me she was 7 months pregnant. I had wanted top of oak cabinets cleaned in kitchen, which would have required someone getting on ladder. I felt so guilty asking her to do anything since she was pregnant. I heard the blinds being shuffled around in back bedroom. But, not once did I hear water in bathrooms go on. Usually if you clean bathrooms you hear water running. I have no clue what the young man cleaned, never heard a vacuum cleaner, nothing just an occasional stirring of blinds. Probably to make me believe he was doing something! Both workers needed to go outside about 5 or 6 times. On one occasion, the young man asked if he could go outside and smoke and make a call. To which I agreed. I was not sure why this was going on? They had already spent 10 minutes carrying their cleaning supplies in. They both moved very slow. I do not for the life of me understand what they professionally cleaned deeply? Which is what this business advertises for! I will never use this service again nor recommend it! I did give them a tip, but not because they did a good job, but because I felt they could use it. In the past I had a cleaning women (who has moved from the area) she would clean my whole house in 4 hours by herself, but she was fast the whole time. And she was a lot less expensive. The handy man service was a total bust. I received a quote for 5-6 hrs to install lamanate flooring in a small guest room. The employee speant 9 hours and there was not one row that was correct, it looked like a jigsaw puzzle with missing pieces. I had to remove the flooring, throw it out and start over. I ended up doing it myself, I have never done it before, with a friend who had done it once before, and it looks great now, 4 hour job. I wish I had checked yelp first. My phone charger was missing after these people came to clean for me. They said they would cover the cost of a new one but ater several attempts, still have not sent me payment. I have been told the checks in the mail 3 times now. Also the cleaning job was not very complete as they didnt even clean the basics like the microwave or any dusting. They also did a poor job of the floors using some steam cleaner that just pushed the dirt around and smeared dirt onto the front of the tub. I wouldnt use this company ever again. read more

I had a guy and gal come out, and they had never worked together before.. after less than a half hour at my house, I hear the front door open and close. I assumed one of them went to their car to get more cleaning supplies .. I was working at my home office, and after about 15-20 minutes, I realize that I've not heard the door open again ... so I go outside to find both of them chatting by the car .. he explains that they just wanted to get to know each other better ... WHAT? On my dime? BTW: They left the house when the time was up .. no make up time for being outside. The two women that came the time before that did a horrible job cleaning ... there were hairs (my husband shaves in the sink) all over the sink area .. when I showed the woman, she accused me of putting them there? WHAT? Yeah .. I walk around with a bottle of facial hair to sprinkle on clean areas of my house. I will not be using these guys again. I don't recommend them to anyone. read more
