(Crown work) according to their "dental treatment plan" they said I owed an additional amount. I found it odd because I had paid everything already out of pocket. Fast forward, recently my new dentist was out on maternity leave. I was at a time crunch. Therefore, i returned to Denton Smiles and saw Dr. Tran again. They supplied me with a complete and detailed "treatment plan" including x-rays. Again it was several thousand dollars. I'm a senior citizen living on a small fixed retirement pension, but am serious and responsible about paying my debts even if I use credit cards. Again this time I paid punctually 2 large payments over a few thousand. Again, after a month of having paid my bill (treatment plan") and dental work was completed, mysteriously i was billed an additional $200. dollars. Now every week i receive a harassing text of owing $200. I have called, I politely emailed and texted. But no answer or response. I requested a meeting with their accounts manager to show them a copy of their treatment plan and the payments I made that paid it in full. No response not even out of courtesy! Total I paid this practice $10,000 ! All to Denton Smiles. Their behavior can put responsible paying patients with good credit into a debt collection agency that ruins their credit! CAUTION: This facility does not keep their word nor respects their own treatment plans and bills they provide to patients. Even when you pay in full out of pocket and clarify insurance doesn't cover it (which they already know) they'll look for a reason to bill you a month or two AFTER you've already paid your bill in full. These are deceptive practices squeezing additional money out of responsible patients and worse ruining one's good credit. Months later, I am still waiting for the appointment to settle the matter.

I had gone to Dr. Earl last spring, my dentist for many years, for dental clearance so I could get…read morebone strengthening infusion to aid in my myeloma treatments. She used the old traditional type of film X-rays and told me that I needed a root canal before clearance could be given. After I got the root canal, Dr. Earl processed the dental clearance and was eager to install a crown, but I was further diagnosed by another dentist and oral surgeon using panoramic X-rays that I had a bone spur in my left gum causing a great deal of tongue irritation, a large cyst surrounding a wisdom tooth in my right jaw, and the tooth that just got the root canal needed to be extracted. These additional items needed to be addressed before dental clearance could be given and were completely missed by Dr. Earl. I repeat, completely missed by Dr Earl. After several trips to the new dentist, oral surgeon, University Hospital and Southwest Medical Center, all items were properly addressed and accurate dental clearance was properly granted. I got my first bone strengthening infusion last week. I won't go into detail about My son getting a serious infection from a root canal performed in their office. They resolved the issue on their part by saying that he needed to go to the E.R. A trip to a reputable oral surgeon treated my son and ended the issue by the doctor sending a letter of reprimand to their office. I won't go into detail about convincing my dementia burdened wife she needed a new denture; she could have been convinced to buy the Brooklyn Bridge. She never lived to pick it up. I won't go into detail about having to return three times over a two week period for them to totally extract a molar, not even counting the number of X-rays they took which was needed to convince them pieces still remained. As a result of all the above, I have switched dentists and would not recommend Dr. Earl for anything but simple cosmetic dentistry.

Green has a very soothing bedside manner and was very pleasant to have working on my tooth. He was thoughtful and very thorough. I had never had this clear of an understanding of why we all "should" get a tooth cleaning every six months, particularly as it related to my own specific condition. My surgery for 1 tooth extraction was on Friday, they charged me more than I should have, charged me extra for deep sleeping anesthesia. The surgery lasted about 30 minutes. At 9:04 am I went into the surgery room with the doctor's assistant (there was a monitor with the time right in front of me). I waited for the doctor until 9:30 am (when dr.Shillingburg came in, I looked at the time on the monitor again). A few minutes later I got an injection from deep sleep . They called to my husband at 10:01am so he could pick me up! I'm 100% sure surgery was about 30 minutes, maybe even less!! But the doctor's assistant lied so much that the surgery lasted 47 minutes! REALLY??? And she said the surgery started at 8:52am! What a shame! Omg ! Check your cameras before lying to a patient who trusted you! At 8:52am, I was still standing at the checkout, sorting out the bill you gave me and trying to add $3,000 for an additional service I didn't need, in addition to $3,313 for one tooth extraction! I asked for it to be removed because the bill was already huge! It was about 6.000$ ! CRAZY ! They are the most expensive in this area, but they turned out to be such scammers! I'm shocked!

Let me start off with the staff. The staff is so very friendly and accommodating to your schedule. They send reminder texts and emails and they give you a reminder card so you can make 100% sure the appointment you make works with your schedule. They also make sure along the way that you are comfortable (as you can be) during your appointment. You are the at the dentist after all. The experience of the cleaning was unexpected. They took these insanely detailed xrays and they refer to those for notes during the cleaning process. They also have a tv directly above you so you can watch TV and stay distracted while they do their work and you can look at your x-rays with them when needed. The cleaning was easy, thorough, and relatively painless. My teeth felt soooo clean afterward. They also recommended a mouth guard for me and told me exactly what was to be expected financially and time-wise. I feel as though I am in the right hands for future care. I'm 100% sure I picked the right dentist. They even sent me a thank you card after my visit. Nice touch :)
