Before my first visit, I clarified that I wanted a regular dental cleaning rather than a deep cleaning. I changed my appointment time to 11:30 a.m. because of Hurricane Erin. It was about a 20-minute walk from my house to Crystal Dental Care. At the office, I handed over my ID and insurance card, then completed the paperwork. The dental assistant finally called my name. I followed her to the exam room, where she took some X-rays. Dr. Fang greeted me and answered my question about my crown. Great Dentist. I've been going to him for over 20 years...ever since he was with Madison Dental. He is very gentle and honest.

Dr. Jason Lin is the BEST DENTIST EVER. It is a god send that I found Dr. Jason Lin. He is kind, patient, encouraging, and understanding. His work is super gentle yet incredibly thorough. He is mindful of your financial situation and does all he can to keep you from having to pay out of pocket. He really cares about his patients. I've been coming to Crystal Dental for 3 years and his staff has always been very nice to me. I am no longer terrified of going to the dentist. I look forward to every visit and leave feeling great every time! I refer him to all of my friends and family. I strongly encourage going to him for your dental work! Background: I had horrible dental experiences as a child that left me with a debilitating fear of dentists. As a teenager and young adult I refused to go to the dentist for even regular cleaning because of my fears. This resulted in me accumulating various teeth and gum issues. I went for evaluations at 2 different dentists in Bayside and was told that I needed multiple extractions, a dental bridge, 4 root canals on top of many cavity fillings and that my insurance wouldn't cover it and I would have to pay ridiculously high prices out of pocket. I was discouraged, terrified of the work suggested, and didn't have the financial means to afford it. My experience: I came to Crystal Dental in 2021 for an emergency visit with a sever gum infection that was incredibly painful to the point I could no longer ignore. Dr. Jason Lin was so kind, gentle and patient with me and completely understood my fears. After treating my gum infection, alleviating the pain, he assessed my teeth and found that I only required 4 fillings and 1 tooth extraction. Two of the teeth had very large cavities, but he felt he could take care of them without giving me root canals, that way my insurance would cover and I would not need to pay out of pocket. I was terrified of it hurting but to my surprise it was completely painless. All 4 cavity fillings were a success! He found that I only need 1 extraction of a very mobile tooth in the front of my mouth. Due to it being in a very visible location and in need of an implant (the only procedure thus far not covered by my insurance) Dr. Lin is helping me keep the tooth as long as possible while I save to replace it by securing it to the teeth next to it so it is less mobile and doesn't hurt. He is helping me save my teeth and gums and I am incredibly grateful! read more

Crystal Dental Care is by far one of the best places for your dental needs! The staff is great and Dr Jasón Lin is EXCELLENT!! I cannot not say enough about the office. It runs smoothly. Hardly any wait time and the place is immaculately clean. Dr Lin is meticulous. He makes sure you're comfortable. He greets you with a smile and his work is absolutely the best! I have been going to Dr Jason Lin since before he started his own practice. He is very gentle. My whole family uses him. I like that when I sit on the dentist's chair, he prepares me before moving on to the next step. I feel very comfortable with telling him where I feel pain, if a procedure is necessary, or if it can be delayed. I feel bad that he had another dentist working at his practice with the same last name who wasn't competent, it bought down his reputation. When I called Dr. Lin's office it was a Sunday and I was in extreme pain with an abscessed tooth. I had no hope he'd see me but...he did...on a Sunday. He relieved my pain and drained the abscess. I went back for a needed root canal. It was an arduous procedure because of the way my tooth roots are constructed. He sat and worked on my tooth for a long time because he wanted to do the procedure correctly and not in haste. There was no pain. AND HE SAVED MY TOOTH! I thought so much of Dr. Lin that I brought my wife in for some dental reconstruction work and she too was mightily impressed. My previous dentist retired suddenly leaving me in need. Dr. Lin filled that need and then some. HE IS A GREAT DENTIST! Dr Jason Lin is our new family dentist. I highly recommend him. read more

This was me and my fiances first time at this dental practice and I have to say the experience was amazing. Dr Lin was great. He explained every single thing he was doing. The worst Dental Care ever. Jason Lin is unprofessional and inexperience in any dental care services. While doing the dental crown procedure, Jason lin ripped off a piece of my tongue skin with his dental tool. the wound took around 2-3 weeks to recovery. The worst part is the dental crown fell off within just 5 months. The receptionist lady is quite rude and inpatient. The receptionist lady will just force you to accept the available time slot and doesn't care you are available or not. read more

After two appointments in the span of a week, I am now convinced that the positive reviews for Crystal Dental Care are absolutely spot on. The ease of scheduling appointments with the friendly staff as they efficiently verified insurance coverage, the adherence to Covid-19 protocols i.e. face shields over double masks and protective eyeglasses for patients and the overall clean environment are among the reasons why I am writing this review. Last but not least, I am grateful for the excellent care I received under Dr. Lau and her assistant. She really took her time to explain the treatment I needed for my two chipped teeth. She even managed to just replace the fillings when I thought I already needed root canals and crowns. It was a painless experience during and after the dental procedure. The doctors assistant wanted to take some X-ray's, she made me remove my diamond earring stud. I had the consult with the doctor & the doctor walked with me outside to the reception to assist me for my cleaning appointment with the receptionist. Apparently the assistant forgot to give me back my diamond stud. When I called to ask for it, she lies & says she returned it to me. She probably stole it or threw it away & says she returned it to me. I would warn patients to be careful of the employees. read more

The receptionist of this dental clinic is the rudest person among all the medical offices I've ever been to. My mother and my aunt are 80 years old, they don't deserve to be treated in such disrespectful manner, and they were only asking for confirmation of their appointments, I don't understand how can that trigger a such nasty and mean attitude. Dr. Lin is super insensitive and rude. He makes disrespectful comments about my weight every time I visit the clinic, stating that I "got fatter" when greeting me. Even after I explained that my weight gain is a side-effect of medication, he continued to make the same comments in subsequent visits. He even went as far as to talking to my wife about how I "looked like a giant" when she visited the clinic during a separate appointment. He is also extremely impatient with his staff members and he often scolds them about minor mistakes while operating in my mouth, very unprofessional. Hands down the best dentist I've ever been to. Normally I run out crying out of the dentists office due to extremely painful cleanings but Dr. Lin did an immaculate job cleaning my teeth. So gentle, calming, detail oriented! Very neat and clean office too. My son went to the same daycare with Dr. Lin's children and the owner of the daycare recommended Dr. Lin when I was looking for a good dentist. All the teachers, the parents and the kids go to Dr. Lin and no wonder. He is not a pediatric dentist but he sees kids too. He was very gentle to my son when I first took him (3 years old) - showed him all the instruments he was going to use and explained what he would do before starting any treatments, he even let my son touch the instruments so that he was not scared. I was very impressed. Then he saw me too. He was actually the same way with me! He made sure I understood the procedure and felt comfortable, and took his time to explain all the details. Not like most of the doctors who see you for 10 seconds and rush out before you get a chance to ask anything. He even does the cleaning himself because he likes to examine patients' condition thoroughly. No a lot of doctors do the cleaning. I have been seeing Dr. Jason Lin for the past 8 years now. I followed him from Madison Dental to Crystal Dental which is now his own practice. He's filled many a cavities, done all my annual (sometimes bi-annual) checkups and cleanings and unfortunately for me, even a root canal. He has excellent bedside manner, punctual with his appointments, quick, efficient and gentle with every procedure. I think sometimes he thinks I'm feeling more pain than I actually am which shows me he's always thinking about his patient's comfort. In addition, his assistants are extremely friendly and professional as well. They are attentive to knowing exactly when it's time to remove the instruments so I can rest my mouth and breath. When they are using the water pick the assistants keep the spray contained with kleenex. The offices are clean, modern and cozy. The waiting area offers a large comfy couch with throw pillows, much like a living room. The equipment used is state-of-the-art. The xray machine is super high-tech taking a panorama shot of your teeth. Note they are closed on Sundays. read more

If you or your family are looking for a dentist, you need to come see Dr. Lin. There will be no regrets, guaranteed. I used to hate coming to the dentist. All my childhood memories were full of pain and misery. Then after a decade of not seeing one, I had a toothache and came to see Dr. Lin at his old office. I was so lucky to have him treat me. He is great at making you feel relaxed and comfortable. He always lets you know what he's about to do so there are no surprises. When he moved to his new office I found him and decided to drive over 30 mins just to have my check up and cleaning from him. Even if I move farther I will still make my way to see him for my 2 cleanings a year. It's worth the trip have such a great dentist. I truly need to write about Dr. Jason Lin and his staff. First of all the office is very serene and clean. His staff is very polite and friendly. And Dr. Lin is a phenomenal Dentist. I have extreme anxiety and he was able to calm me down just by counting to 10 and stopping the drilling, then starting to count down to 10 seconds again. It truly worked. (Anxiety gone!) I didn't feel any pain or discomfort when he numbed my mouth, didn't feel the needle. He did a great job filling my molar. He always made sure I was comfortable. Very gentle with the cleaning as well. I left the dentist feeling so at ease, stress free and happy. I couldn't stop smiling from the Joy I felt.
