It's so easy to default to "jeans and a tee shirt" in LA, but I just knew I could present myself better. I finally decided it was time to work with a stylist, and I'm SO glad I found Jillian! She helped me identify the colors and silhouettes that complement my body type and coloring, and gently explained which pieces weren't doing me favors and why. We uncovered so many great items already in my closet that I didn't have the confidence to wear or didn't know how to style cohesively, and she transformed them into some truly killer outfits. We also set aside pieces that needed tailoring, and she provided a thoughtful list of items to purchase to round out my wardrobe (I was definitely due for a refresh). I was able to painlessly let go of a ton of outdated pieces, and I honestly can't believe everything fits in my closet now! Within a week, I was already getting compliments from my fashion coworkers, which feels like the highest praise. I feel like a more professional, confident, elevated yet authentic version of myself. Jillian is incredibly sweet, fun, and intuitive; the FIVE HOURS we spent together absolutely flew by. I'm already looking forward to a refresh with her when the seasons change!

I didn't feel fancy enough, or like I had the kind of life that justified it. But I had hit a point where I knew my style didn't reflect the confident person I was becoming, and I wasn't dressing in a way that felt like me anymore. From the very first phone call with Jillian, I felt completely at ease. She just got it. She met me where I was, reassured me that feeling unsure was totally normal, and made it clear this was something she genuinely enjoys and is amazing at. I went into the closet edit expecting a total overhaul, maybe even having to get rid of half my clothes. But instead, Jillian helped me see new possibilities in what I already had. She showed me how to put things together in a way that actually felt like me and made sense for my everyday life. It wasn't about trends or starting from scratch. It was about helping me feel more like myself when I get dressed. Because that experience was so positive, I decided to work with her again for two really special events: my engagement party and courthouse wedding. Once again, she completely blew me away. She brought a thoughtful and beautiful selection of pieces in a range of sizes, and laid everything out in a way that made trying things on actually fun. I felt like royalty. I kept looking at myself in the mirror saying, "Who is she?" and "I don't know her, but I like her!" Jillian helped me feel more confident and connected to how I want to show up in the world. Everything she found was actually affordable and practical for my lifestyle. I'm so grateful I found her and I absolutely plan to work with her again.

No more standing in front of an over-packed closet, scratching my head, wondering what I'm going to wear! Working with Meg has been extremely therapeutic for me. I have some very specific body issues that I've never successfully addressed. Not only is Meg non-judgmental and compassionate about these issues, but she was able to accommodate my requests in ways I didn't even know were possible! Here's the difference between a Meg outfit and an outfit that I put together: every single time I wear a 100% Meg outfit I get a compliment. When I wear clothes of my choosing - no comment. Without fail. I'm not exaggerating. I now predict and look forward to the compliments in my Meg outfits. And btw, this still continues, over one year later... I'd like to think that I'm a smart cookie. So I've tried to learn from Meg and copy some of her choices, thinking that I could garner those compliments on my own. Nope. As a matter of fact, most of the clothes that I buy without Meg, I end up returning. They just don't have that special "je ne sais quoi" that she brings to the equation. Another interesting experience with Meg: all my life I thought I was a size Medium or Large because I was considered tall in my day (5'8"). Wrong! Meg sizes me in Small and even Extra Small! What? Who knew? So not only did I have bad taste in clothes before, but I wasn't even buying the right sizes - and this applies to shoes as well! With shoes I've learned it's not about the shoe size, but about the fit (duh.) However, psychologically, I'd never think to try on a size 7 since I've been an 8-8.5 my entire adult life. But, let me tell you how comfortable those size 7 sandals are on my feet - they fit me like lambskin gloves... For Valentine's Day I bought Meg's special V-Day package for my husband. At 6'4" and size 15 shoe, he's a difficult guy to fit. Not for Meg! Not only did she add some very cool clothes to his wardrobe, but she got him a new suit that is so hip, he looks at least 10 years younger. The man makes the clothes, I know, but let me tell you what a difference it is to put that man in some newer, more up to date clothes and shoes! ;-) So, if you're anything like me and you always thought that Stylists were for celebrities - think again. Working with Meg has been the best investment I've made in years. Do not look any further. Pick up the phone right now and call her to make an appointment. You'll be so glad you did!

Carolyn is so kind and sweet, and she made going through my outdated closet efficient and fun. She took into consideration things I cared about, and found me looks that met my needs, but also breathed new life into my wardrobe (like color! and patterns!). The whole process was also so, so easy. Carolyn brought a whole bunch of clothes, I had fun trying things on, and then she came back one last time with different sizes and some tailored clothes. I really appreciated that she understands fit -- when it came to something fitting well, that was a non-negotiable, and I learned a lot from Carolyn. The lookbook is a great resource and I've been using it when I need ideas. But honestly a lot of the pieces go so well with each other that I haven't had any problem putting something together. The whole experience was far more fun than I expected, and it's had a bigger impact on my day to day than I ever expected. Thank you, Carolyn!

The digital wardrobe was an interesting concept, but I did not find it particularly useful in practice. Most of the items I purchased were ultimately returned or sold. There were also purchases I did not feel I had approved, and when I attempted to address these concerns, I did not receive a meaningful response. Because my concerns remained unresolved and not responded to (I had given a week), I cancelled our final meeting as it's awkward having someone ignore you then come to your home. At that point, I no longer felt comfortable continuing the working relationship. The fashion suggestions were very basic ie "where a cardigan with a dress" and not what would expect from a stylist, more like something at the mall. This review reflects my personal experience as a paying client. Based on that experience, I would not work with this stylist again.

I have always loved fashion and clothes, so much so that I had a mountain of clothing. But I was starting to get overwhelmed with it all. I was in a very busy phase of life and I wanted to look good: modern and put-together but didn't have the perspective about what to let go of and what to update my wardrobe with. From the moment Katie arrived, she was warm, non-judgmental, and helpful. She literally dug into my wardrobe and helped me take a hard look at all of my items. She gently guided me to let go of what was no longer a good choice (out of style, not my color, not a good fit, etc.) and helped me put together new looks with what I already had. She also suggested new items to round out my wardrobe. This was incredibly helpful, because I wanted to spend my money on a few quality items and not get swept away by trendy pieces. She helped me pick out some classic slacks, flattering jeans, and a versatile skirt. Katie listens and adapts her approach to what you need. I recommend her services to anyone who feels they are in a fashion slump or just wants a refresh.
