It ended up costing over $40 for two people + a tip, which may have been a sit down restaurant at that point. A little pricey for a coffee shop (at least the food portion). Service was quick though and the workers were friendly. There's also plenty of seating and an open atmosphere! Maybe it was just what I ordered (The Sequel), that left me unimpressed. It tasted alright, but I couldn't tell whether the top layer was the cheese, egg, or both, lol. It was very difficult to eat without making a mess. I don't know that it was worth $12. The coffee was decent too, but nothing extraordinary. Maybe next time I'll have to try a Crepe! I did think the interior was cool though, seeing that it used to be a bank.

So I've had this place on my Greenville list for a while. Decided to stop in for the new sweet corn…read moreespresso while in town for the 4th. I arrive and the line is to the door. So I'm thinking ok this place has to be good. It took about 20-25 mins to get to the register and order. I ordered the sweet corn shaken espresso with almond milk and a cinnamon roll so I could make sure to show support. It took 22 mins to get the drink which o tried to be understanding because it was busy and there was really only one person making drinks. Most efficient way? Maybe not but he was steadily working. I watched probably 20 drinks come up almost spilling over they were so full and delicious looking. Finally mine comes up and 1/4 of the cup is empty. Weather ice or almond milk at least fill the cup like the rest of the drinks. So whatever 45 mins I'm not asking for a remake or anything it's already hot inside and just standing there I'm sweating. I get in the car and think well they short changed the drink at least I got this thick cinnamon roll to make up for it. Well jokes on me again. The roll was very dense and dry. While it may have been made that morning it was dry as if it was a day or two old. I figured maybe it was just the outside that was dry but it was the same even in the center. The centers are always supposed to be the best part. Sadly I didn't get the experience everyone else seems to get. Over all pretty disappointing experience that I wish would have been better to give a better review for a local shop.

I will say, I love that they've got a lot of popular viral treats in their case and on their menu, but I was a little underwhelmed by the coffee itself. We got the iced Dubai chocolate latte, and the peanut butter marshmallow latte. They tasted good, but texturally and consistency wise, it could definitely use some work. Overall though, it's definitely worth stopping by if you're wanting something specific that only they serve, but if you're specifically looking for coffee only, I'd probably recommend someplace else.

Mountain Goat feels like Portlandia and Patagonia opened a coffee shop together in Greenville…read more.. and it totally vibes. The space has the bones of an old auto shop turned neighborhood coffee meetup spot: industrial, unfussy, outdoorsy. The service is classic coffee shop friendliness. There's plenty of bar seating plus larger tables, so it works equally well for grabbing coffee solo, meeting up with friends, or camping out (get it?) for a study/work session. Trust me (or don't): The house-made waffles are the main character. Hands down some of the best I've had!! The texture is spot-on, with that perfect consistency that holds up under the toppings instead of turning into a soggy carb sponge. They absolutely nail the waffle-to-topping ratio as every bite gets a little waffle, fruit, and topping without the whole thing collapsing. I also loved that ordering "for here" actually means for here; your food and drinks come on real dishes instead of disposable everything. It's a small detail, but it makes perfect sense for an outdoorsy, sustainability-minded brand so the whole experience feel more intentional. Mountain Goat is the kind of place that feels distinctly Greenville while bringing a little PNW energy to the Upstate. Don't leave without getting a waffle.

Though my husband frequents here often, this may have been my first time visiting to post about it. Wonderful, relaxing atmosphere. There are sofas, chairs, even tables with chairs. Some of the couches are quite low and, well used but are what I would expect at a coffee shop. The kind where you can curl up with a book though perhaps others may not like you hogging the couch I was meeting with a few other women and enjoyed a delicious chai latte with almond milk but instead posted the picture of what my friend ordered because of the adorable gingerbread man image on top of her latte. Mine was delicious and though I personally drink plain tea (sometimes with lemon) at home and not a coffee drinker, the latte was perfect on this foggy wet winter day. To be honest, it would have been perfect on any day. I was asked if I preferred a mug or the disposable cup, an option if it was small (I think though maybe large?) or medium size order. I had ordered a medium and there's something about having a handle, right? Plus less landfill item. Because I'm trying to reduce the amount of sugar intake from the holiday season (and had breakfast 90 minutes prior), I did not choose any of the baked goods, though tempting. I should have captured a photo to recall but there were muffins, cookies, etc CRAVE has WiFi available for its patrons and quite inviting to remain, not rushing anyone out. I saw people alone enjoying a drink and reading, others alone on their laptop, many with others enjoying each other's company and conversation. If you crave a place that will allow you to relax and/or have a pick-me-up drink, CRAVE certainly is a place to go. Because this is the anchor shop of a strip, there is ample parking along the parking lot on the side. And if you want full blown meals, there are options along the strip, one of which I have frequented often. I enjoyed my experience and thus give CRAVE a 5 star.
