There are multiple and it's not safe, especially for somebody who has had prior experimental back surgery. They were very rude. They did not want to work with me. They said they would only help me with pain management medication if I got this equipment put in my back first it should be illegal. They are just being paid by the companies and it tears down to the doctors from the surgeons. It's simple and it's obvious and it's against the oath they took.

The receptionist, Kat M. answered the phone as if my call was an annoyance. She is apparently the only one there while everyone else is at lunch. After I was trying to figure out why the referral hasn't gone through yet, she told me they are still waiting for paperwork from her primary. I asked if I could then schedule an appointment in the meantime, but was told Donna (the referral coordinator) would have to review the paperwork and would call to schedule the appointment. My number was supposed to be given to make the appointment as my step mom gets very confused. She told me I wasn't listed as an emergency contact so they wouldn't call me. I indicated I'm not sure why that didn't happen as I am the emergency contact for the primary...and asked how we can make that happen. She hung up on me. I tried calling back 4 times and was continuously hung up on. Finally she answered with an awful attitude. I am absolutely horrified and disgusted with the lack of respect, service and care for patients needing help. Shame on you, Kat M. Doctors, I hope you're reading this and recognize this is an issue with your service personnel. I will not be bringing my stepmom to your center and will be sure to relay my bad experience to anyone who will listen.

When I had some serious SX, the nurses at L&M Hospital called him "the wizard"! He's down to earth, talks to your like your a person (not a number) and explains everything. I thought I was on deaths door five years ago (2019). I was passing out at work because of the pain and pressure on my spinal column. I was fortunate enough to get an emergency surgery with Dr. Doherty. He showed me a picture of the bone growth he removed from my neck that was the size of a quarter. He then performed a fusion on my C6-C7. I walked out of the hospital the next morning with no neck brace, no physical therapy, and no pain or narcotic medicine needed. If I did not have sleep apnea, he was going to send me home the same day as the surgery. Five years later, 2024, I had my C5-C6 fused. This surgery was more difficult because of the scar tissue which has made my recovery longer. Dr. Doherty is the best there is and I would never go to another surgeon for neck issues. His communication with his patients is amazing and it is in a timely manner. I have to clarify; it was Dr. Doherty got back to me not anyone else. I have never had that commitment and dedication from a doctor, especially a surgeon of his caliber.

Dr Carlow is the absolute WORST! He asked me 3 times if I brought her x-rays (which were literally under his arm on the desk). Despite asking, he never even looked at them. He then walks up to my daughter, doesn't say ONE word to her, and very aggressively takes the bandage off her arm. I wish this was an exaggeration. She was screaming and crying in pain, he continued to rip off the layers, and not once saying a word to her. Then he starts grabbing her arm, making it all around despite her screams of pain. Then he tells me there is no fracture, that we will keep the soft cast on for support but there is no fracture. He must have X-ray vision because he didn't even look at the X-rays I took in. Needless to say I left very pissed and even more confused. The next morning I called for clarification. I couldn't wrap my head around how everyone else is saying there is a fracture. I called, got the run around from his staff. Then was told to call back when he came into the clinic (because he never seems to be around). So I call back, his aid shocked and doesn't understand why I was told what I was told. Then he all of the sudden gets on the phone and says "so what's going on? The girls here tried telling me but I'm confused". So I told him I didn't understand how everyone else is saying there is a fracture BUT you. And how would you know if you didn't compare the X-rays. He then tells me that "there is a fracture" and I said what?! That is not what was discussed yesterday at all. Then he starts talking down to me as if I'm some little stupid woman who knows nothing (mind you I just recently left my medical career to stay at home with our daughter, and my husband is a physician...so in fact I DO know quite a lot). He told me it's my fault that I didn't understand (something he didn't even say). Blamed it all on me, told me that he told me all of this at the visit. So I call my insurance and get a new referral to childrens ortho in Hartford, who wouldn't you guess, said there is in fact a fracture and put her In a cast right there on the spot. Fast forward to 5 months later, and I am being billed for things for a femur! (That is the bone in your thigh). So not only do they practice MALPRACTICE here, they also practice fraud by wrongfully billing and coding. RUN FAR from this place. I can't believe they preform surgery here. I wouldn't trust them to give me a glass of water. Zero stars if I could.

He runs in and out of the room with barely enough time to answer any questions. No eye contact. Made me feel like pretty much an idiot for coming in there. No, I don't think I'll be going back.
