I have worked with and have used Leo for his balloons and face painting services over the years. He been there for my baby shower, birthdays, and just recently my daughter's third birthday party. His work is phenomenal! He always arrives on time (or earlier) and not only provides amazing balloons for the kids but entertains them as well. Face painting has always been great as well. We had Gabby do face painting at my daughter's birthday party today and it was the hit of the party! Everyone was raving about it! The other really great thing about her is she's super quick. She got through 25 kids in 1.5 hours. I have been to parties where it took so long per kid each of the kids were waiting forever to get their turn. Leo Cruz is an amazing artist and entertainer. Leo was hired to help with my sons' 3rd Birthday Party last night. Everyone's jaw dropped at the characters and figures he created. Let me say that again....EVERYONE's jaw dropped at what he was able to create from thin air. Leo arrived early and began working prior to his start time because a bunch of little kids wanted a balloon. He is a master at working with large crowds of swarming kids and toddlers...keeping their attention. Somehow the kids remained patient as he made their balloon. As he had some many requests, he stayed later with no questions asked...thank goodness. I would have been at a huge loss if he had to leave. One child asked him to make something I had never heard of...rather than say "no" and redirect the child to choose something else, he looked it up on his Iphone to see a picture and went at it." He re-created the object perfectly. Leo had very small space in which to work (we held party at a restaurant) and he did so with class. Moreover, he worked VERY hard. No time to sit, eat or drink. I personally think he needs to raise rates but he probably won't. I can't imagine there is a better balloon artist in Southern California. read more

If I could give this guy zero stars I would but I am required to give at least one star per terms of yelp. Stopped by nuyo with my two year old son and family , my sister asked my son if he wanted to go get a balloon she got in line at 5:10 ( he stops at 5:30) four little girls were in front of us . After waiting for 10 mins he lets us know that we would only be getting something simple not like the people in front of us ( Moana , unicorn , Mr.incredible) we were totally understanding . He took longer then expected he took us at 6:00 before starting my sister asked if he can at least do a dog and he said no because it's passed 5:30 ( while we were waiting many kids tried to make line and he told them no he's done doing balloons) meanwhile a man stands right next to him and Leo told him something simple it's now 6:10 , 40 mins past his time . This man pulls out two fives and says he wants a Moana and something else that is NOT simple. It was very upsetting because we waited almost an hour and he couldn't even do a dog and we did tip . We would never go to him again and will most definitely NEVER recommend him to our BIG FAMILY AND FRIENDS ! If that was the case I would of pulled out a 20 DOLLAR BILL FOR A DOG ! I always keep a budget on pur birthday parties as is any other parent. BUT they were worth every penny we paid them. The balloon art by Leo stunned my guests and i mean ALL parents and children were amazed as they watch what he does. He does not do any ordinary balloon art. Show him a picture and he will do it! All balloon art he does looked extra special. Ive never seen a regualar poodle i always see with the ordinary ones. I say the same on Livy, who does beautiful face paint.. every face painting i saw was beautiful the point that the other adults would line up. We had a balloon artist for his birthday which people loved, but his rates were a little too much for my budget. Leo provides the best rates that I could find. And not only that, but some of the best balloon art I have seen! He also brings his own music which livened up the party. He was such a hit, the line for balloons was constant and nonstop that it lasted for more than the hour that I booked him. Not only did he stay past the hour (almost an additional hour), but he didn't complain or request any extra payment (i was inclined to naturally pay him more because of such graciousness).
