Updating this review…read more My son has been training at Edge Ultimate Martial Arts for 14 years, and I truly can't say enough good things about this place. This school has been a huge part of his life and growth. The discipline, confidence, focus, and respect he's developed over the years are priceless. It's more than martial arts -- it's character building, consistency, and community. Master Rios is beyond amazing. His dedication to his students is unmatched. He pushes them to be their best while genuinely caring about who they are as people. The guidance, structure, and encouragement he's given my son throughout the years has made a lasting impact both on and off the mat. We are incredibly grateful for everything Master Rios has poured into my son. If you're looking for a place that truly invests in your child's development, this is it. Highly, highly recommended.

Before going there, he allowed kids to boss and push him around and also needed help in the confidence department. NOT ANYMORE!! The school is also REALLY CLEAN [I'm a germa-phobe!] before going there, I was worried about cleanliness/mats/bathroom and smell to name a few. Thank goodness it doesn't smell like a boy's stinky foot fungus locker room after a game. Eww! PRICE: More affordable than I thought it would be. Programs suitable for everyone's financial needs. [again, you get what you pay for] STAFF: From the owners to the instructors. Everyone is courteous and professional. They engage really well with the children and don't make them feel bad about not getting a drill the first time. They will go over, and over and over drills without losing their patience. PARTIES: They host amazing birthday parties. Their goal is to take the stress off the parents so everyone has a great time. Go check them out and see for yourself! :)

Not only have I built skill, strength, and confidence, the atmosphere of being welcomed and being part of a team is exceptional. Master Burhan has fostered my growth, and allows opportunities for leadership, which I am beyond grateful for. Initially I was a shy student, and now I help assist lead my class as well as teach younger students. I am excited to encourage participation in our younger generations, and continue to improve my personal growth and taekwondo skills. As a parent, I would advocate for all parents and caregivers to enroll their children here, it does not feel like a business, rather a place of community. TOP skills that I've seen increase profoundly in myself and others is technique, discipline, respect, and confidence, and these skills carry over into school and at home.

We have only been attending FF for 5 weeks, so I will update in the future should anything change…read more The schedule fit and flexibility, the ability to watch classes, and the parking lot sold us on this location. Not knowing if my son would even like the classes, I was a bit hesitant to take it on (it's not cheap). Students go 2-3 times a week which, at this age (my son is 4.5), feels like a lot and limits him from trying other things. But, they had a one-month trial that felt reasonable and he ended up LOVING his classes (we added a 3-month membership on in hopes he will continue to stick with it). I do wish there was a once a week class option (at half the price), but this seems to be standard practice, so we're giving it a shot. As for the instructors, they are absolutely amazing with the kids. You can tell they are genuinely having fun. They have fair/reasonable expectations for the students in terms of focus and participation, but they are firm and make clear what is expected. There are almost as many girls as boys in the classes and they encourage everyone equally. They know how to change the class up and make it fun. I feel my son is in a good place based on his enthusiasm and reactions during class. Each class has a similar structure, but different practices and my kid is really enjoying them. I use his belt promotion checklist to my advantage! I was concerned with the MMA connection that the class would be ran by a bunch of meat heads teaching kids to fight, but it's nothing like that...very friendly, positive environment that I am happy to continue exploring.
