We tried all types of sports activities and he just did not like it, but since we signed him up for lessons he is so excited to go to his lessons. It is a family run business and I love how they interact with the youth and more experienced members. Each Sensei has a particular way they instruct but they communicate well. My grandson who just enjoyed playing video games now looks forward to going to his sessions. The instructors (Sensei) are well accomplished Masters/Champions but with a very humble approach to teaching.

This place is great on so many levels. I am visiting CT for a few months during my husband's…read moredeployment and was searching for a Crossfit box that would welcome me into their community for that time -- and whose focus was not on crazy competitiveness or killing yourself for a WOD, but on getting a good workout using the right techniques. I came across a few "bigger" gyms in the area (that, years ago, I was a member of) but when I contacted them, I just knew they wouldn't work for what I needed/wanted. I emailed Crossfit Expressions and they quickly got back to me with clear answers to my questions and a "no problem" kind of attitude. Since joining in March, I have been quickly welcomed into their community. It's a small gym with an awesome atmosphere -- people know each other, talk to each other, support one another and the class sizes are small. The programming is thoughtful, easily scaled to your level -- and without a doubt, every time, gets you an great workout. As a military family, we've had the good fortune of being a part of many Crossfit gyms. The coaching here by Carole, John & Jordan is the best I've experienced. They take their time with you - give specific instruction - and really motivate you. I've had 2 kids since starting Crossfit. They met me where I was, helping me scale and set attainable goals for the time I'm here. There was no judgement - just quality coaching and programming. If you've never done Crossfit or are just starting, this place and these people are the way to go. I have never, so quickly, felt like "part of the team" and in our lifestyle where I am constantly the "new person" I appreciate that more than they know. I'll be back whenever we are in town!
