The worst! I tried to cancel my gym membership!! I canceled as directed via certified mail on 06/09/26. THEY SIGNED FOR IT! They finally got back to me today after numerous emails and phone call.... Half the machines never work and you have to follow up 1 million times to see if they even put in a work order request. If I could give 0 stars I would. Called in 5/11/26 to ask how to cancel my membership and was told to do so on the app. Went through the steps, sent an email and was still charged in June. Called back in June and was told it was my final dues, okay fine. Charged again in July and was told my account was cancelled. Charged again in August - called this morning and was told cancelling online and over the phone was NEVER an option?? She said nothing can be done, I'm basically shit out of luck for $90 and she STILL can't cancel my membership while trying to just say "new management". This is pathetic. From the moment you walk in, the energy is great, upbeat, clean, and welcoming. The staff is always friendly and genuinely helpful, whether you're checking in or need a quick spot on a lift. The gym floor is spacious and never feels overcrowded, even during peak hours. They've got everything you could need from plenty of squat racks, a solid free weight area, tons of machines, and great cardio equipment that's actually well maintained. The group classes are a huge plus too! The instructors bring great energy and make every workout fun. You can tell everyone on the team cares about keeping the place positive and motivating. The Chamblee location has become my go-to gym because of how comfortable and motivating it feels to train here. I decided to finally check this place out because I pass by it often and it always seemed like a cool spot. The first time I visited, I was just looking around and spoke with two women--one at the front desk and another who gave me a quick tour. Both were super friendly and welcoming, which made me want to come back. So, I did. The next day, I returned to work out using a free day pass. This time, I was greeted by a white male employee with longer hair at the front desk. The interaction felt completely different. He made a big deal about there being multiple passes on my account and refused to check when the last one was used, claiming he couldn't see that information. Here's my issue: if there's no way to verify whether I used a pass or not, how can you assume I'm trying to cheat the system? Plenty of people sign up in January, never show up again, and forget about it. That doesn't mean they were being dishonest. Over the past year, I've become a dedicated gym-goer--I work out four times a week and take it seriously. I remembered how chill Crunch always seemed and wanted to give it a shot. But instead, I was treated like I was trying to scam them... all while I was there to evaluate if I wanted to pay them for a membership. That kind of energy was a huge turn-off. Oh, and I ended up paying $15 to work out that day--though he did knock off $5 after I agreed to leave a five-star review... which I'm obviously changing now. Kind of makes you wonder how genuine some of those other reviews are. I tried to find a locker for my stuff (none were available), worked out for maybe 20 minutes, and left--the place was just way too packed. What really pushed me to write this review wasn't the overcrowding or lack of lockers--it was the way I was treated when I walked in. I get that gyms get busy, lockers fill up, and sometimes machines are taken. That's normal. But being treated like a thief? That's not. Maybe they should consider limiting passes to one per year and implementing a system to track whether they've actually been used. That would be a more respectful approach than assuming the worst about someone. read more

I'm active duty military and have belonged to several gyms across the country and abroad. This gym is the worst! They go out of their way to make it difficult for customers to cancel, which is just a shitty thing to do. I was transferred out of state and wanted to cancel my membership. The contract I signed said you could cancel via email. So I emailed my cancellation request and never heard back. I called and spoke to a "manager" who tells me 1) yes, their contract says you can cancel via email, but they don't follow what's in their contract, you need to cancel in person or via certified mail; and 2) they don't reply to emails regarding cancellations. Personally, I couldn't care less about the monthly membership fee, it's not that much money. But it's the gym's dishonest business practices and their dismissive, disrespectful treatment of members who want to cancel that gets to me. read more

It is a nightmare to cancel your membership. I would not recommend at all. I joined because it was close to my job not my house...wanted to wait out traffic and workout here. First time there, it was super packed and not in a good way. I am guessing because you can bring visitors. I decided to cancel right after that, sent an email and called. I was told that I had to come in to cancel, mind you I don't stay close. So I went in, only to be told I had to keep my membership for 2 more months, so they can collect annual dues before canceling. Disappointed but okay. I go back in after the two months and once they collected their annual fee, literally. I was then told that I had to give 30 days notice, meaning that I needed to come in on the exact day they collected my monthly and annual fee to cancel.....to avoid paying for the next month. Now I am pissed! What a crock of shit..... paid it and walked out. I will not recommend this place to anyone. Much easier to start/quit Plant Fitness. I came in to cancel my membership at 1:30PM EST on a Saturday. 07/01/2023. I worked with a new guy named Thomas. He was cool. Long story short. I could say much more, but this is already to much to writ As we are cancelling, a dude named Coach Jon pulled up. Badgering us with questions on why we are leaving. Questioning our fitness goals. Telling us we won't find a better gym. I politely asked Jon to stop asking me questions. I want to cancel and leave. Instead, out of spite of that request. He stands there the whole time, staring me down, attempting to intimidate me. Continuing harassment and asking questions. It goes so wild. After several attempts to tell Jon to quit speaking with me. He told me, "what are you going to do about it?" Over and over, and offered to essentially fight me. This man was about to square up against me for cancelling the membership here. I made a comment that, it's to busy for me, I can't wait for these machine and racks every time I come. Jon told me, "just ask if you can get sets in with them or wait for it, you need to make friends." I responded I'm not here to make friends. I said, I would rather drive an hour for a gym more my style at this point in frustration. Jon replies, "so you will drive an hour to another gym, bu can't wait a minute for a bench? How stupid, and walks away laughing." I asked is this how you guys work? You guys just talk shit? This leads to the main offender Graham. That out of my 10 years of working in customer service. I've never seen a man break and result to ad hominem attacks and insults. The story goes like this: Unfortunately Thomas was new, and he was about to charge us $100 extra for cancelling our membership. He was unsure of the total and pulled over a white ginger man named Graham. They sorted out the details of the payment, however, he decided to join Coach Jon in the harassment. Now I have Jon to the Left and Graham to the right, starting me down and harassing me. This is supported by camera footage. The peak of it all, is that Graham lost his cool, as I told them over and over to leave me alone. He called me a "fucking clown and a fucking idiot." and walked away, just to come right back, to call me stupid some more. Snickering and laughing to himself. I asked if he was the manager and he said yes, and started to tell us false information. When Seth the Assistant manager came to assist, he said, "Yep, I'm actually not the manager moron." As he smiled behind the counter. We asked Seth is there anything he can do about asking Jon and Graham moving away from us as we finish cancelling, and Seth said, "they can be wherever they want. I'm not going to tell them to do anything." Seth follows up by saying, "is there anything else I can do?" Other employees watched behind the counter in amazement of this encounter. Seth gave us false information. We ask for the corporate number and a General Manger, in which he wrote down on a piece of paper, a fake PO Box address, the same phone number to the Chamblee club, and no name to reference. I called that number in which they laughed at me for calling as I was under the impression the number was for corporate. Below are pictures of the men. Everything I've always hated in a gym: meat market, show offs, loud music. Absolutely couldn't stay longer than 35 minutes. And that was me trying really hard to "just go with it." The music was awful and loud. I tried listening to a podcast and audio book in my earbuds, which are noise canceling, but my brain couldn't sort out the competing sound of the music. If you have auditory sensitivity, take this into consideration. read more

Parking Free parking in the lot shared with the other businesses. During peak times you may find yourself parking very far back away from the door but you will be able to find something. Clean I've always found the gym to be clean. I'm sure it can be tough with the amount of people coming and going, but wish they paid a bit more attention to the floor in the multi purpose room. Service Not the best. I've walked in when there are 6 people at the counter and they all just stare at each other instead of checking me in. Strange. The staff isn't proactive in assisting. I've asked on multiple visits where they hide the bar clamps for the barbell racks and I'm always told to look for them myself. Classes They offer great classes with wonderful instructors. There are regulars who come to class each week. Other Things They just opened a Publix next to the gym. I've often grabbed groceries to make dinner after leaving the gym and it's nice to not have to go far. I came on a weekday morning, so it wasn't crowded at all and the gym floors/equipment were clean and working. The bathrooms were not the cleanest, but if you're just there to go in and out then it's tolerable. I'd say 3.5 stars, but I'll bump it up to an overall 4 as my experience there went smoothly. read more

Crunch Chamblee's gym experience is just...mediocre. I changed my membership to this location since it was closer to where I live, but I sort of regret that decision. It has all the equipment you could want per se, but I found the layout very cramped and unwelcoming. I went at non-peak times and never once found a bench available, and was lucky to find a squat rack or cable machine. The staff were hit or miss - half were polite, half acted like you were bothering them just by scanning in, none were super friendly. (No opinion on the instructors, I didn't get to do a class here) If you are in between the Sandy Springs or Tucker locations, I highly suggest picking one of those instead. I really miss Tucker, the employees were so nice and fun, plus there is so much space! read more

We've been coming for about 4 months and we like it so much better than the gym we previously attended. For us, we saw quicker results because of the machines they had. Mitch signed us up pretty quick and we also have 4 sessions with Theresa that we'll be using soon. Both were very sweet and no doubt had an impact on us deciding this is the gym we went to go to. On top of that, the bathrooms are clean. Equipment is clean for the most part, etc. This is a gym I would definitely recommend to friends. read more

False advertising! You can sign up online with a card but when you walk in they try to force you to give up your bank account details! That's very suspicious and this business should be avoided due to that alone. I was initially told their card payments just didn't work and that was the reason but after the manager confirmed it was franchise policy it's clear that this is a lie they are told to say. Looking forward to a copy pasted response from the owner as that is clearly what they do on these reviews. The covid 20 (weight gain) had me not fitting my clothes anymore and I had to do something about it. I was nervous about returning to the gym out or fear of actually getting Covid but I ordered a Peloton bike and delivery was about 2 months out. So, I went to check things out at Crunch. First of all, when you walk in there is a temperature checking device upon entry and all staff have on masks. There is hand sanitizer as soon as you walk in and you can smell the industrial strength sanitizer throughout the gym. Which I appreciate! There are employees walking around cleaning/sanitizing equipment. Many guests are wearing masks and cardio equipment is set so it's every other machine to enforce social distancing. The times that I've gone, there are t too many people in there working out so I definitely feel no issues with social distancing. I feel safe going to this gym. I just wipe machines down before and after and social distance from others. read more

They have everything you need to hit the majority of your muscles. A sauna and biking zone which I don't use but I'm sure others do. I'd say don't come at 5:30pm-9:00pm on weekdays because they are packed and don't have the most equipment. When broken they usually fix it so props to the manager on that. It has been a pleasure joining Crunch Fitness. The facilities are clean, the staff is professional, and all of the equipment is state of the art without breaking the bank. I have gained a few pounds over the last few months and have been looking for a personal trainer to help me start strength training. Robin Lowe has been exactly what I need! He is no joke with his workouts but is not overbearing at the same time. He is a total professional but also very personable. I have already advised friends of mine that they need to go check Robin and Crunch Fitness at Chamblee out as this is a great gym to get you to your health goals! So, the only way to cancel is apparently by sending a notarized letter to their headquarters. Crunch has been my primary gym for the past 3 years and there is a reason for my loyalty. There are so many great things about Crunch: they have state of the art equipment. There are plenty of squat racks at this location. There are also multiple benches at this location. There is a dedicated HIIT area, which is available to use for anyone UNLESS there is a facilitator-led class going on. The value of Crunch is also phenomenal! You can get a single-location membership for 9.95/month or multiple-club for $24.95/month. The multiple-club membership is worth it for me since they are in areas within my reach or the areas I frequent (Chamblee, Johns Creek, Perimeter). I've been at their Johns Creek and Perimeter locations and they are also great gyms. The only cons I'd say is that because of the great experience here that Crunch provides, there is always a lot of people at the gym especially during peak hours (some mornings and after work). It gets to be a bit of a hassle to have to wait for the bench or rack for 10-15+ minutes. read more

I've been to several gyms and never have I experienced an attitude until I met Shauna. It is quite jarring when she is seemingly sweet and cordial to some members but is quick to sour to others. Each time I did something at the counter other than check-in, she would be visibly perturbed. When I went to check a friend as a guest, she was quite annoyed. When I checked out some pre-workout at the register, she made sure I knew it bothered her. I feel I can't even walk in without her judgment. Another friend of mine moved and had to cancel his membership. She was so passive aggressive walking him through the process that even other gym goers could see she was pressed. I come here a lot! Finally, a gym that works out [har har] with my demanding work schedule and busy social calendar. I absolutely love the variety of options this gym offers. I am an active members of two different gyms so I mainly go to Crunch for their group fitness classes, but they have an expansive variety of free weights, cable weights, and cardio equipment. I love that they have so many different group fitness classes to suit your needs and athletic ability. For the beginner, there are easier classes in the big room towards the back - standard for most gyms in the same price range. The next level are the HIIT and Bootcamp classes that are a bit more challenging happening in the front and on the turf. I'm not sure how many classes they offer but I guarantee it's an insane amount - my regular routine is a 6am class that leaves me enough time to go back home, get ready, and still make it to work at an early time. Otherwise, if I can't make it in the morning because of an early meeting, I'll do the same class in at 7pm. Very convenient schedules to fit your needs! The instructors and staff here are all very friendly and eager to work with you. Additionally, I signed up for the highest level membership, the Peak Plus, which allows you free tanning (if that's your thing) and Hydromassage. The true bonus of this level of membership for me is to bring a guest every time I patron the gym. For about $30 a month that you'd be paying for a standard membership without these perks at other big box gyms, you can't beat it! read more

Today on April 12, 2021 I find out that there is a collections on my credit report for $134. ARE YOU SERIOUS?!? This is impacting my ability to buy a house and when I called the GM the guy didn't care!! He said pay it or it will stay on your credit report. I cancelled it in 2019. Now it's my word against the gym word and no gym should have this much power over my life. There are other gyms I can go to that will not derail your future. I think the gym needs more bench racks and fly machines. It is overcrowded all the time and you will have to wait in order to use most of the equipment here. Been a member since the beginning when they just opened in Chamblee. Honestly the best gym you can get for those of you on a budget. I love this place so much. Chill staff, clean, still feels new after all this time, and I still come here on most days to get that good workout in. They have everything and the place is not too busy/crowded. My only complaint would be the hours. I wish that they would have longer hours at night. On weekends they close at 7pm which is sort of inconvenient while on weekdays, I wish it was 12am instead of 11pm. This place is amazing with lots of parties/events to attend. Also lots of opportunities for you to join without paying the upfront price like no enrollment fee or very cheap enrollment fee. They hold raffles and have lots of TVs for you to catch your games Amazing place and positive vibes all around. read more

Not to throw anyone under the bus, but dudes get in the sauna naked, their crank falling about--kind of weird. Let's talk about the workout machines. Between 6-8 it's more like an Internet cafe, where people camp out on the machines getting their tick tock on. I just ask them if I can work in, actually insist. Trust. Chicken legs in yoga tights--I'm not falling to their ruse, it's ok to throw in a leg day, you look like you're going to tip over. And there are WAY to many tank tops. Meet "Ed" the chubby gym rat, thinking he's Arnold. That's aspirational and great, but when their titty is hanging out in my face, it's not super fun. Beep, beep, here comes the Wannabe Mike Tysons! Pro tip: when the hard bag doesn't move you're not fooling any of us. I remember when I was 8 and I thought I was a real ninja and practiced in my basement. Prince Chamblee is a great gym. It has a great atmosphere a good mix of people. It's very clean and the machines are well maintained. The staff is very friendly. I've been to all the gyms around here, LA fitness, one life, lifetime and this gym is much better for a fraction of the cost. read more

I decided to sign up for four sessions with a Personal Trainer. However, my experience with the policies of this company has been miserable. Understand that your mission is to take only your clients' money without the least interest in providing a quality service. It is understood that a company lives on its profits, but customers deserve to get what they pay for. First, the coach I chose informed me that due to personal situations, she no longer worked with them and that they would assign me to another person. My answer was that I preferred the refund of the money since, due to personal situations, I am moving to another country this month. They said they could not do it due to policies. Question Should the client assume that her employee has left and understood his situations? Second, I tested positive for COVID and canceled one of my appointments hours before it. The coach informed me that all is well that I can take it another day with peace of mind. Days later, I found out that it is non-refundable because she left Crunch, and they can't do anything with it for the simple reason that the computer showing that I took it and the coach already left. I lost $ 150.00 in a second for the reason that it is her policies. So you don't care about the health of your clients? Dear Crunch, all companies have policies and procedures, but I am sure that all of them also have exceptions depending on the case. I believe that is why there is a manager to analyze the situation and make decisions that ensure the needs of their clients. read more
