Anyone who knows me know I love coffee, so I was intrigued about a place that sold homemade coffee syrup. My best friend swears by coffee syrups, i usually most often prefer the taste of coffee without flavoring but decided to give it a try. There were plenty of flavors to choose from but bought vanilla (for my brother), chocolate (for my mom) and salted caramel (for me). The syrups were reasonably priced, i made the purchase and they bagged it for me. The next day my family tried to coffee syrups! Omg! So good! I have been adding it to my coffee every morning! Now i am hooked! Anyone reading this should definitely get some and try it themselves!

Most of the people who work there are some of the nicest people I've met. I usually stop in to grab the cheese pizza pretzels, the cereal marshmallows, and something from the chocolate aisle. My friend who usually goes with me loves their hot cheese cups and the sauces they have to offer. The dip mixes are great too and the baked goods on the rack towards the back are tasty! Sometimes the prices are a little higher on some things but it's a very clean store and just fun to visit.

I will tell you that one of the most impressive things about Old Thyme Pantry is that it has an extensive candy section... two aisles worth. Moreover, the candy isn't the factory made stuff... that said the candy can be a little hit or miss. My mother did not like the sugar wafers for instance and i disliked the sea salt fudge. Yet at the same time, the orange slices were very good and the chocolate covered raisins were to die for (def better than Raisinettes!). The store also sells soup mixes, local honey, jams, jelly's and fresh meat. They also have a Deli. I bought some Deli items and again hit or miss... some of the items i didn't like but their was this chicken one that was delish. Cool store, one that looks to be owned by mennonite/amish? Definitely would be willing to give it a second try in the future... and one you should try as well.

It opens at 5am and stays open until noon or when they run out of donuts, whichever comes first. They have tables to eat at and were nice enough to give us cups of tap water to drink. Bathroom was pretty gross. Interior is completely red, which is funny. Anyway, donuts are pretty good (and good variety of choices), pleasant enough atmosphere, parking, nice counter help.

This spot got a second date out of me,and this time in, I wanted to show some yelp love. I have been to Lima Ohio more than I would like to share for reasons that are my own. Lol But finding this donut shop as I headed to the expressway was a joy! It's really simple. There is fried dough. There is fried dough flavored assorted items in all the ways fried and assorted lol(did you catch that?) And there is plenty of ways to have your fried dough at PAT'S! The word is that this place has multiple locations and Lima has 2. This location was my first stop. *waving at Adrianne* Adrianne works at this location and answered all my questions. She was so kind. Being I am a resident of Illinois, I was passing through for the last time in my life (I pray), I wanted a particular donut to bring home. They were out. No worries I shared, I will ride over to the other location I stated. Adrianne called for me! She was a doll! However, NO ONE ANSWERED THE PHONE. *crying*. We were gonna see if they had the wonderfully fried dough at the other location, however after 4 calls, no one picked up. And guess what, they are open 24 hours!!! So strange. So, we grabbed a couple boxes of fried yum yum, and still drove over to the other location. New location-2102 Elida Road, Lima Ohio. There I spoke with Erica, after waiting 5 minutes for anyone to come and service me, in an empty doughnut shop with no customer's inside. Hmmmmm...*thinking*... Pretty busy place? The phone as I am waiting to see a human, is ringing off the charts!!!!!! And it does not stop! Nor did I see anyone answer it. It just kept ringing. I explained i had come over from the other shop. And unfortunately the fried dough I came over to this location for-they were out of it as well. Apple fritters are clearly a hit! I know, I had 1 before. Lol! They are big, fresh fruit, nothing like I have eaten as an adult from the donut shops near my home! SO GOOD. I asked why no one ever answered the phone, she said they were busy with "DoorDash orders". They also sell breakfast sandwiches, breakfast pizzas, dessert pizzas.. Assorted sandwiches, soups and ice cream(soft serve). They have a variety of yum yum in this small spot. There were several workers in the back though... not sure what happened with those phone calls. But Erica was kind, she answered all my questions and even tossed a pastry in my bag on the house. *SCREAMING* THANK YOU ERICA! So, if yiu are ever in Lima Ohio for whatever reason, stop in and enjoy SOMETHING, as there is alot to choose from. But i suggest getting their sour dough doughnut/cream cheese donut. The sloppy dog was pretty good the sub as expected but the cheese pizza was really good. It had that flavorful chewy cheese and a tangy sauce. As for the donuts we got mostly "filled sticks" which are long icing filled and covered with icing donuts. We loved the triple chocolate. Yum! The time to get food was a little long considering it was around 4pm. They do have a few table with chairs for dining there but best to take out.

The donuts are amazing and addicting. They have the ones you can expect glazed, powdered, chocolate, etc and some unique ones... for instance they had Bacon Maple Donuts and Pumpkin Spice Donuts. They also make cookies, danish, brownies and other baked goods. If your not in the mood for baked goods they also sell breakfast sandwiches, subs, hot dogs, pizza (both breakfast and regular), and ice cream. I have only tried their cookies and donuts and can tell you they are amazing! I am curious about the other items and may have some in the future. Their coffee, though, could use a lot of improvement. Same for the custard filled, jelly filled, apple cinnamon, i think, and long johns. Also never had a very hard apple fritter and doughy middle before. Extremely disappointing. A dozen today cost me just about $20 and thats without tax. Too pricy for what they really are. Rather drive to New Haven or Harlan to get really good fresh quality doughnuts.
