Came in placed a pricey order watched as others ordered and every person was being told they were out of every cookie. A sign or announcement as we walk in would have been nice instead of ordering wasting money I now have to wait several days to get back on my card. Instead of announcing to everyone at once they went one by one and still let people place orders. I live an hr and a half away so it's not like I can just come back. There was absolutely zero customer service upon entering, both the girls behind the counter seemed on edge towards each other. The lobby was absolutely filthy and both the self order kiosks were out of order (not their fault just slightly inconvenient). While I enjoyed the Kentucky butter cake and the nilla bean cupcake cookies, we ordered all 6 of the weekly flavors. They were out of the chocolate peanut butter so we substituted a duplicate of the caramel coconut fudge. Big mistake. ALL the cookies were WAY too sweet but that one was the most overly sweet one of the bunch. We had a total of 1 whole cookie by splitting 4 of then amongst 4 of us. My one son could only handle half his share, my other son and I finished them but felt horribly sick afterwards from the sweetness. My diabetic hubby's blood sugar isn't way off afterwards but he did have a wave of nausea about a couple of hours later. These do NOT have to be this sweet. In fact, they would be better if they weren't so overly sweet. Unfortunately, I'm not sure we will be back for more. I have sweet tooth but this was too much! Also, I felt pressured to tip by the cashier, even though someone simply put the cookies in a box and handed the box to me. Having been a server in the past, I believe tipping is earned, not entitled. Update: Had 1/4 of the chocolate chip and that was the right amount of sweetness. I tried dubuque's new Crumbl Cookie today and was pretty disappointed. The pretty pink box is cute, but I don't need it if it adds to the price of this expensive cookie. I had a milk chocolate cookie. Sadly it was not properly baked, it was not browned on the bottom and the middle and bottom were doughy. For $4.57 plus tax, it should have been so much better. Way over rated. Already out of the most basic and important cookie (Chocolate Chip) at 1140am. Which I personally find unacceptable. While the service was slow and the line was out the door, the staff was friendly. Hopefully the excitement will die down and the place will be more desirable to visit again in the future. I will visit again in the future to see how things have changed. As for the business, I suggest they only limit orders to an maximum of 4/6 cookies until they can consistently keep all products available during business hours. -P.s. To the manager who replied to my review, I was able.to buy some.cookies which I must say delicious including the White Chocolate Coconut Cookie along with the Chocolate Chips. Lost 1/2 star because the cashier was not friendly-she seemed uninterested in being at work. (Customer service goes a long way & is a deal breaker for me). Lost another 1/2 star because my cookie box was greasy and had crumbs on it and I end up getting the oil/butter on my clothes. (Be careful how you handle the boxes). If ya do sloppy work, it'll show. Ok, So at first cookies are good, but they only have 4 different flavors a week ( not all are iced, they are expensive!!!at times the middle is so doughy you can roll it into a ball.. BUT, the icing on the cookie( pun intended) no gingerbread cookies the week of CHRISTMAS!!!! Gingersnap , for $5!!! Plus they won't ice it! Company rules! I can go to the local grocer and for half the price if not less, get a plain gingersnap cookie.. Cookies are good... but I was refused a knife the last time I went because "their cookies are not meant to be cut". (Eye-roll) Second... why is this store so filthy? there are fingerprints and grease everywhere. The doors to get in are full of grease and fingerprints, the pink boxes have grease on them sometimes.. The floor does not look to be mopped daily.. I worked in a bakery and this is honestly pretty gross... I try to stare at ceiling as I wait for a cookie because if I think about how dirty it is I do not want to eat the cookie. I can see how busy the store is and keeping clean throughout the day can be a challenge... but it needs a bit more attention if you want to keep your customers coming back. read more

So every time I go to this place I try to be patient since they are fairly new, but they are the slowest store I've ever been to! Today I walked in and was number 3 in line thinking this will actually be quick today, oh my was I mistaken. 15 minutes later I finally make it up to the counter to place my order & apparently there was this huge online order that just came in so the one and only girl that was taking orders was also boxing the cookie orders decided not to take my order but go fulfill this huge online order & make me wait even longer, while there are over 8 other people in the back doing who knows what & the manger just wondering around with no real purpose! So I asked to speak to a manager at this point, inquiring why they are not using more of their staff to help the customers in line? His answer to me was and I quote: "It takes over 4 hours to make our cookies & we have the personal set up this way so if you are not happy with the situation you have plenty of time to leave our store!" Really that's how you treat your customers! Instead of listening to a customers frustration & seeing what you can do to improve He tells the customer if they aren't happy with how slow they can leave! Maybe he could of stepped in to assist the one and only poor girl that was doing it all from taking in store orders and fulfilling them in addition to boxing online orders or set up more efficient stations, one person taking orders, one person boxing orders.
