My wife and I loved the area and plan to pass through again one day. The service desk has been consistently respectful & helpful but although the sales staff was nice they were also condescending at times. I understand that the manufacturer is responsible for the build quality and components used but I did ask for the camper to be inspected for issues weeks before arriving and I was told that was part of their process. The camper had a few defects... hot water heater needs to be replaced bc it's leaking, slide topper needs to be replaced bc it's sagging and holding water and the biggest issue is that the slides leaked all the way home. When we arrived at home, the kitchen floor had a puddle of water on it because all the slides have a hole exposed in the bottom corners. I specifically asked for a service tech to inspect the slides before we arrived and they were obviously not inspected. We decided to upgrade the batteries because we were told they were AGM, only to find out they were flooded when we got home. When I discovered that they were flooded I called to ask what's going on and found out that they don't sell AGM batteries at all. To their credit they did issue a full refund but this revealed a lack of knowledge by the staff. We did receive a very thorough overview of the camper but we can't remember his name. We learned a ton of things about our new camper and even things about our existing camper we didn't know. We were very grateful for the walkthrough. They also did a great job sealing the roof. I just wish they put the same effort in making sure the slides didn't leak. Due to these defects we were only able to use the camper for 1 trip since the purchase because it's been sitting at a dealer in Raleigh waiting for the parts since mid September. We have decided to never buy another Rockwood and never buy another camper at this dealer.

Ensured multiple times how unit had been winterized, oil changed, and that unit was ready to roll. Asked twice if a pre-delivery inspection checklist was utilized. Ensured they did so, and that it was completely ready to go. Took unit straight to outdoor storage for 3 weeks and had several days of freezing temps. Weather warmed for a short time, so we used the RV. Discovered unit had not been winterized, grey tank was ~2/3 full, black tank ~1/3, no anti-freeze in pipes, oil not changed, generator exhaust pipe was hanging loose below unit, all tires low air pressure. Brought unit back expecting nothing more than an explanation of how this happened, an apology and a quick fix of these items. No apology, empathy or taking of responsibility. Reluctantly agreed to fix the items but made us leave it without a clear return date, which ruined our planned Thanksgiving trip. Upon pickup, thought we would get a better explanation and some kind of apology, maybe a wash of the RV to make us feel a bit better... but instead, more excuses, double talk, indifference and attitude. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place... we are certain, the same stuff is happening with their own Phoenix products. The one repair they did help me with was with the slide cable. While they did repair the slide cable, they damage all the trim and everything around it getting the job done. When checking on the status of the work, I found that they just had tools thrown all over the counter tops, kitchen table, floor...without any protection between the tools and the tops. Also once complete, they didn't even clean up after themselves. Once I got home, I also discovered they poked a hole in the outer seal of my slide. I also have other warranty issues that are unresolved including a nail/screw pop in the middle of my brand new travel trailer that has yet to be repaired. I have many other issues but I'll save you the reading. Just save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere unless you are truly in a service bind.

My husband rebuilt the furnace with parts purchased from another parts dealer. It turned out that some of the parts provided were not furnace parts, and some were residential furnace parts. Blue Campus bent over backwards to get us the parts we needed as fast as possible to get us heat as we are living in the camper and it was getting down to freezing at night. The service manager helped us with a temporary fix to get the furnace running while we were waiting on parts to come in. For years we had been going to another dealer in Fort Wayne and they always seemed like we were a burden which we also saw other customers treated the same way. Blue Compass might be a further drive depending on where you are, but the customer service is worth the time. Every time I called or went in everyone was so nice and had a smile on their face!
