Payless Flights is one of the smaller online travel agencies (OTA), which you might come across…read morewhen you search for flights on momondo or other meta-search engines. The price they offered for my flight was several hundred dollars (~25%) less expensive than what I could find on one of the larger travel agencies (Expedia, Priceline) websites or even with the airline itself. Suspicious, I went on a quest to figure out why this is the case. Googling this company, one finds terrible reviews on competing review websites. However more googling and a closer look revealed that all those bad reviews have no clue how those smaller OTAs work and their limitations. While those small OTAs have searchable front ends which allow you to look for flights, the actual booking of the eticket happens by a real human. This has a bunch of consequences which one has to consider before booking: (1) The booking does not happen in real-time but delayed, meaning the good price, you just saw, might no longer exist. (2) Humans make mistakes, so you have to verify that the actual information on your e-ticket is correct! You should definitely also login at the website of your airline to cross-check that you booking is correct! (3) The travel agent is a middle man. Therefore information about flight changes, etc. from the airline have to be relayed several times before they reach you - and, of course, can get lost at each relay point. Consequently, can have to verify the flight details again a few days before your departure, because they might have changed in the meantime without you being informed. You might also sign up at the airline's website to always get the latest updates about your flight. Now to the prices. It looks like the travel agency got their hand on some consolidator fares. Meaning the airlines sold them a bulk seat capacity for a reduced price, and I got to take advantage of it. But this has consequences of its own: (4) The deeply discounted tickets are usually not refundable or rebookable. Thus NEVER EVER book this type of flight if there is even the slightest chance you need to reschedule. (5) In many cases (as in mine) you will not be able to select a seat! Thus if you travel with family or friends you might not sit together... And finally: (6) You might be offered a flight where you would have to change airlines. Never book such a flight since when the first flight is delayed the second airline will not rebook your flight for free (it is not their fault) and you will have to buy a new ticket - with a much higher fare! (7) If you need to book a flight last minute, always book with an airline directly. That was my due diligence, and I decided, I can life with the consequence, thus I was ready to book with them. The booking process was without problems. They even called me to tell me that a member of my travel party might require a visa. That was a positive surprise. This would have not happened if I had book with the airline directly. In the end, everything went smoothly and I would recommend Payless Flight - assuming you are aware of the caveats I listed above.

DO NOT USE PaylessFlights, unless you want fake flight tickets…read more Even though we received confirmation of our flights and payment from PaylessFlights, when we went to the airport yesterday (13th February 2018) we were not booked onto the flight. We called PaylessFlights to ask why and they simply said that they had cancelled our flights. That's all. No apology. No reason why. We then had to buy last minute flights at the airport, which were more than 5 times the price. We only used this company as it came up through SkyScanner. Normally I trust SkyScanner, but now I will be a lot more careful. I will definitely NEVER be using PaylessFlights ever again and will go with more trusted companies like Tripsta or GoToGate etc.

Where do I start? Called them ( spoke to Doug) and got a price for battery on my car. Actually…read moregave him exactly what I needed. Decent price Showed up that afternoon. Gave me same price but other advisor next to him ( Jason) said that Doug was wrong on installation price. Even though Doug asked me if battery was in trunk/under rear seat or in the engine. It's in engine. But still Jason said there wasn't a $1 charge as Doug told me but a $150 charge cause they had to REGISTER battery with the car. Ok. What to do? I had them do it. Then car is promptly in shop, and 20 minutes later, they come out to tell me the exact battery I need cost an extra $60 bucks. WOW. ( I showed Jason the picture and model of battery I had showed Doug. Yes I had correct batter, but Doug wrote down wrong one. Again what to do? Car is in shop. Ok from original price on phone of $220 plus a shop fee to $461 later. Unreal . I told Jason I was very disappointed. He took my copy and showed his boss. All I got was SORRY THEN I get home and looked at job they did. THE VAPOR HOSE that gets plugged into battery was NOT connected. SHOULD I BE NOW EVEN MORE UPSET? I am totally disgusted and disappointed. I tried calling Jason but he's off.

Checked Lexus, and they sell it for $21.68. Called the shop as there must be a mistake. Response: That is less than our cost. If I can buy it for $21.68, certainly they can get a better price with their volume. 2347 Gulf to Bay Blvd.
