He kept in place my flagstone walkway and several existing plants. I'm converting my front yard to xeriscape. Jim listened to what I had planned for the space and catered the grading and removal based on my expectations and some. He took into consideration that I would eventually put down decomposed granite so removed soil at edges to ensure the gravel stayed in my yard. He knew exactly how much to remove His use of his machinery is done with surgical precision so he's able to remove what needs to be removed without touching anything adjacent to the work area that needs to remain. He treated my mature Afghan pine with care and preserved my existing drip/bubbler line I wanted to retain. I am so pleased with the results which exceeded my expectations. I will use Blue Horizon Excavating for all my future projects. Jim is just the best. He is responsive and provides recommendations to make your project a success. It also helps that he is very easy to talk to. I know very little about converting a lawn to xeriscape, I'm a complete novice. Jim made the first step in the process easy; I can't recommend him enough. Added before picture at end of photos

I was very satisfied with the work that they did. Before getting started with our home remodel, I called several different demolition companies to get quotes and scheduling. Oliver was the most professional in responding and the timeliest about being able to guarantee the service. We had a fairly extensive interior remodel, which included 3 new bathrooms, a new kitchen, new floors, and refreshing all of the doors, trim, and paint on the interior. The work that Oliver and his team did in just a few days helped prepare our family for being able to tackle the remodel head on. If you are looking for a company who you can trust, call Oliver and RC Demolition right away. They will treat you right and get you taken care of!

I came to yelp and typed a general forum of what I was looking for and luckily, that forum was sent to Salisbury Excavation. Chris got back to me right away and offered to come give me an estimate on the job that day! He came and took measurements of the our current project and even took extra measurements of another project we hope to have done in the future just so we could get an idea for numbers. Chris was timely and very knowledgable on his line of work. I was very transparent with Chris on my lack of knowledge in this realm of things, and he was patient and descriptive on what to expect. I had the bid for my project that evening, and the next morning, we were setting up for him to come. They finished our project today, and let me just say, the whole process was amazing. Chris was super thorough, honest, and helpful with everything. As a woman in her 20s, I have found it's hard to find businesses that don't try to take advantage of you for your lack of experience or knowledge in their line of work, but Salisbury Excavation threw that belief out the window. Chris went above and beyond in helping us and we are excited to do business with him again and recommend him to everyone we know in need of his type of service. Thank you, Chris!!

Hired Valleywide to tear down a house so we could make way and get ready for new construction…read more We needed to remove the existing house but leave the slab so we could build the new house around it and the valleywide team did a great job They were priced well, did the job efficiently and cleaned up the site afterwards. We asked Valleywide to come out and give a quote for quite a bit of demo work in our back and front…read moreyards that included haul away, concrete demo, block demo. Initially, Ben was so friendly and promised quite of bit on behalf of his company. His initial consultation with us even gave hope that he could eventually help us do some extensive remodel to the back door/patio of our house and the back wall of our master bedroom. When it came time to estimate the project, Valleywide advised they were equipped to do not only our demo and haul away, but also construct a new block wall, lay a new cement slab and install new gates for us. We were so excited to have found an all-in-one company, so we scheduled our project as soon as they were free. Once the project started, it was downhill from there. They first advised they'd be a day late, then days late, then over a week late. Once they began, the demo went okay aside from a cracked drip line that we repaired ourselves. The pivot from demo to construction was atrocious. We were told a mason was scheduled to come out to construct our block wall. They didn't show for a week. After some serious questioning from our neighbors and HOA, we pressured Valleywide to get back out ASAP, and they ultimately did show up the following Monday but without a mason. Ben and his partner, who didn't appear to be masons, spent the better part of three days trying to figure out how to properly align our wall. They laid slab over the footings and ultimately created an uneven base for their project. We don't love the end result, but the wall was finally finished after the mason arrived on Thursday that week. In short, it as a sloppy finish that we'll have to sand down before we paint. Lastly, the real kicker for me is in the details. From the beginning of this project, our biggest concern was installing new gates that properly fit the fence openings, opened and closed with ease (unlike our last RV gate) and did not offer any openings big enough for our small dogs to fit through. Late Friday afternoon, the final day of the project, one guy was left on the job installing the gates. They were installed with a substantial opening at the bottom that our dogs could easily crawl under. The gentleman was nice enough to adjust the height at the end of his shift. When I opened and closed the RV gate, i realized they overlapped slightly and will not close without some force. Worse off, you have to throw your shoulder into the gate to get it to open. And as if that's not frustrating enough, they used the smallest screws to attach the composite slats to the frame that do not go all the way through the slat. In less than 2 weeks, most of those screws popped right off and are completely incapable of holding the fence slats together. When I asked Ben about the construction and size of the frame, his answer was "that's as good as we can get it." We'll be in the market soon for a properly fitted gate to replace the complete waste of money this gate ended up being. If it isn't clear by now. I would not recommend allowing this company to take your money and contract out some truly terrible work. Their demo quality (the namesake of their company) was fine. Do yourself a favor and put in the extra leg work to have other professional companies do the rest of the job.
