Way better than I expected which is why the 5 star rating. Service and ambience was great (2:30 lunch on a Sat) and though I was raised on Essex and Ipswich clams, their clams were the best I've ever had . Wife really enjoyed her haddock as well. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in area read more

Cute place! The oysters were great. We also ordered a cup of chowder, the lobster salad and tuna salad. Everything was fresh and flavorful. There was not a wait to be seated which was awesome since our day was full of travel. The only thing that was strange was their old fashioned. Neither my husband or myself finished our drinks. It tasted like they used way too much bitters and was not pleasant. read more

Absolutely delicious! I can't believe I never found this place before. The food is scrumptious, the service is excellent, and the drinks are very generous. I had the swordfish dinner: highly recommend. And they bring rolls, an increasing rarity in restaurants. read more

The clam chowder is delicious! I had the clam linguini in clam sauce and my partner had the baked scallops. Everything was delicious! We really didn't enjoy their version of a fully loaded baked potato. read more

The only drawback to this place is the parking which is AWFUL as there are nowhere near enough spots for the size of the restaurant . You have to go during off hours to be somewhat assured of a spot. If you can get in there, the food is fine with a wide selection. read more

The food was amazing. The calamari had an amazing texture with a nice tangy flavor due to the peppers. I ordered a lobster roll that comes with an order of fries. The lobster roll had a really good flavor, the bread was warm and it had a nice crisp to it. The fries were also crunchy and the perfect amount of salt. Unfortunately, the clam chowder was the only disappointing dish. It was more of a creamy potato soup with the taste of chowder. It had a lot of potato chunks. The sangria was average. The service was great, very attentive and always checking on me. I did notice that all the tables were getting bread rolls and butter but I wasn't offered any. The lights were very dimmed so it makes for a romantic scenery. This place is sitting by the Ponaug marina and it's beautiful. I would def come again to try other dishes. read more

We used to love this place but during the pandemic & folks were finally getting out, retaurants had a 2 hour limit. We were there just over an hour & the waitress asked if we wanted desert, we didn't but were enjoying a cup of coffee until the manager walked to our table asking us to leave so she could seat someone else. We thought that was not only rude but very unprofessional. Had it been over 2 hours, I would have understood but she wasn't even apologetic when she approached us. We have gone back but it's certainly no longer our favorite. read more

The best Manhattan chowder anywhere. Clam cakes are fabulous. Waitress was very attentive and love the new decor, especially the sound dampeners in the ceiling. Parking is very tight even for a late lunch. Look for the specials on your way in as we could have saved a lot if we knew of the half lobster roll, chowder, fries and 2 clam cakes combo special. Waitress didn't offer so we paid full price for it all. Lobster roll was ok but not really worth the high price. Kind of bland. Place we have been going to for years but the draw won't be the lobster roll anymore. Lots of other great things on the menu. read more

It was a bit chilly so we didn't get to take advantage of the beautiful scenery but the perks of sitting inside was their very cool fish tank. The staff was super kind and the food came out very quick. Our server was attentive the entire time we were there. We ordered clam chowder and it wasn't the best I've ever had but it was good. I think it's missing a bit of creaminess and the potatoes could be a bit more cooked. However, the burgers stole the show. We ordered the patties medium well so they were very juicy and tender and well seasoned. The bread was soft and soaked up all the flavor from the meat and sauce. The secret sauce was a great addition. The lettuce was a bit soggy (I assume from the hot patty being over it). Another great part of our meals were the sides. The fries were just how I like them--crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside with some fry dust on them. The onion rings were crunchy, juicy, and big. Overall I would highly recommend trying their burgers despite this place specializing more in seafood. read more

I was visiting RI and staying near the airport. I was looking for a place to take my mom for birthday lunch and found this hidden gem! I was able to get most of my RI favs in one spot. I ordered a dirty martini and it was perfect!. Mom had the fish and chips and it was delicious. I had the clam cakes, chowder and 1/2 lobster roll combo.... so good!! I also has streamers. I will definitely keep this restaurant on the list of places to return to when I am visiting again! read more

Went early so no noise factor. Service was amazing. Not thrilled with the fried clams// batter was spiced up: A no-no with fried clams. Also they were overcooked. Steamers were too big. (A personal preference) last year much better!!! read more

Rhode Island may be quahog country, but let me make it simple for you: Order the scallops. Order any dish with scallops. The lobster looks fine, the clams are good enough, but if you're getting full, polish off the scallops first. I have never had the tiny Bay scallops done so tenderly that they taste like Digby scallops. Perfection. The clam chowder (white of course) was okay, the clam cakes were okay, and the stuffie grew on me (a bit mushier than I like). I'm just really glad my friend left over some scallops. Does Yelp do hashtags? #scallops4lyfe #scallyelps P.S. Also those dinner rolls. Eat them up, yum. read more

Thought this was a good restaurant from the reviews , we were wrong. The scallops were dry , overcooked and looked like they were reheated. The baked clams were just a sticky bread paste that stuck to your mouth like peanut butter. Didn't taste any clams at all. The same paste is used to stuff the shrimp. My dinner side was a salad , which never showed up. We would have had a better meal at Cracker Barrel. read more

Excellent food and service. I had the Shrimp Scampi over Linguine, rather than over rice as listed on the menu. It was outstanding topped off with a little grated Parmesan cheese and crushed red pepper. The portion was quite generous both the shrimp (about 12 shrimps) and enough linguine for two meals. My server, Donna was not only professional and courteous, but she was very attentive, too! She even offered to pack up my remaking entree to take home. The ambiance was a nautical theme. read more

Ugh I want to love the Crows Nest. I love how the place looks inside. I love seafood. I was excited about these fish tacos and unfortunately the sauce they used was so incredibly spicy, it was almost inedible. I like spicy too... this was HOT. With no indication on the menu. Hoping to have a better experience was another food item. The service was amazing. Loved our waitress. read more

Love dining at the Crow's Nest. The service is excellent, the staff are welcoming and the food is always delicious and freshly prepared!

Excellent service and food! I came here in the evening during a business trip, and it was very comfortable for the solo traveler. The bartender was very nice and helpful, and I got stuffed shrimp, which were fantastic. Definitely would go again! read more

I bought a fish & chip from Crow's Nest Friday, they told me that they had small ones and a large order, so I bought a small one. The fish was very small, it was good, but a very small piece of fish, the coleslaw was good too, but the French fries were awful, it cost me $17.00, I don't know how they can charge that much for a little piece of fish, and terrible fries, I think I would rather make my own, it is not worth it, for me, it is a waste of money. read more

Went to crows nest with the family after the remodel and new owners took it over and it's just not the same. Of course the food was decent but not amazing, the prices went up a bunch and it was visually appealing, but.... Just not in harmony. The food was still the same as it was 20 years ago but now with a higher price tag ‍ Fish and chips still hits tho- it's the other appetizers and such that are just blah. Stuffy was all dough and no flavor, chowder was wallpaper paste... I was hoping for better I guess. I'll go back for the fish and chips for sure. Nice wine list too! So not a terrible review, just expected the food and snacks to meet the renovations in the middle maybe. read more

We stopped at Crows nest on our way home to PA. The place is nice and service is awesome. The food didn't meet our expectation. It might be because of what we are used to. The chowders we ordered were great. Tuna Tower, seafood platter and lobster roll were different from what we expected. The cocktails were awesome. read more

We had a reervation for 8 on Father's Day, I was told it would probably be two tables of four, but I requested the patio and said it would be fine. After waiting 30 minutes past our reservation time, the gentleman at the desk asked if we would like first available. We agreed and were placed in two booths back to back with no opportunity to see the rest of our family. Most disappointing were the two empty tables on the patio that we were looking at. The food was wonderful as always, our server was great but we did not get to dine with our family read more

Used to go all the time and just went back after the re-opening. The restaurant is completely made over and looks great! The new bar outside is awesome and has a great view of the marina. Most importantly, the food was fantastic. My wife loved the lobster club and the stuffies are some of the best we've had. You should definitely go! read more
