    View from Room 1028!!

This hotel is located on the edge of Downtown a short walk to the river and the pinch which has a few restaurants. The views are spectacular and there are busses directly to the airport and trendy districts of the City such as Cooper-Young and Overton Square. You walk or take a historic street car to South Main or Beale Street with lots of bars, cafes, and shops along the way (I'm looking at you Fat Tuesday, with a great DJ and frozen concoctions). The hotel was clean and well ran. The highlight was Ashley at the front desk who was so kind and accommodating. When the hubby mentioned it was my birthday she was so sweet, and our room 1028 couldn't be beat. Great hotel and couldn't be more satisfied!!

This is the second room they have moved us to and it's still dirty, no offer of am upgrade or discount. This place is only about 10 percent full, for a downtown upscale hotel, what a joke !! ** Edit : this was obviously a housekeeping issue, I want to be clear, the front desk, and maintenance employees on staff that night did all they could to remedy the situation, that being said, the General Manager Patrick, contacted me in less than an hour, that night and offered a solution that satisfied my wife and myself ! Although it was a frustrating situation, the employees and management stepped up and did the right thing !!

This actually happened almost two years ago but I haven't forgotten. It was Christmas eve and our car broke down about 100 miles from Memphis, I called the fromt desk and the person told me they're charging my card regardless, I asked them if I could use the room the next night same answer NO. We made it there the next day, it was Christmas and the place was empty, the girl booked us into a room on the third floor so I asked for a higher room so we could enjoy the veiw, she moved us but our room only overlooked the parking lot. I'd never stay there again

this was the worst hotel stay I've ever had! you be better off at a best Western! the sad thing is this use to be such a nice crowne plaza! never again the staff is rude.. (Sean) the manager leads the charge in this rude behavior... no accountability from Ihg

Saturday night patrons waiting eagerly for the best meal around. (Sarcasm)

I'll open with the close : No wonder this place is vacant on a Saturday night. Not impressed Slow slow slow service. Bartender served everyone and they left. After I was the last person sitting at this bar/restaurant area. I got attention. Ghost tin of a bar and restaurant. What does that say. Beer was old once I got it. Overhead music was louder than the tv sports program. Wtf. Guy next to me said his sliders were mediocre I'm hungry. It's a 20 minute ,safe? , walk to downtown. I'm tired And want I get to bed. I dislike feeling trapped at a mediocre eating place by a hotel. Understaffed bar when people did trickle by for drinks for their wedding party. Walked around outside in my shorts. 70+ out there. Freezing my ass off in the bar. Slow lethargic unenthusiastic bartender. It's like I want to eat and get the f out of here but I'm trapped Ins molasses reverse time warp of being forced to watch Roseanne reruns. ------ and this is the review before the food gets here--- Taco shell refrigerator cold Slaw cold Fish warm(ed)? Horrible excuse for prepared food. So was this supposed robbery a warm or cold meal. Warm fish in/on stone cold accoutrements. Very unappealing. See picture for small quantity swimming in the cold shell. No wonder this lace is a ghost town on Saturday night. --------------- So now i want to pay my bill and get out of here but the bartender is on the phone and the other helper that just showed up won't do it. What a service joke.

The catering throughout the event was well-executed and flavorful, which added a nice touch to the overall experience. The event space was also well done. The setup was clean, organized, and created a great atmosphere for the conference. The vibe throughout the weekend was positive and engaging, and the DJ really brought it all together with a great mix of music across multiple genres. Spacious, clean rooms Excellent pricing for the stay Delicious catered food (salmon bites + cheesecake standout) Well-organized event space Great music and overall vibe This was a well-rounded experience, and I would definitely stay here again--whether for an event or just a getaway

If you want more space I recommend going for 2 queen bed room as the King rooms while lovely can be tight. It is a little further from Beale street than most downtown hotels which is a plus for me. The South main area has many cute shops and dining options still in walking distance to enjoy plus a grocery store around the corner if needed.

Able to walk to Sun Studio 0.8 mile away, Charlie Vergoss Rendezvous (but there's better food to be had than there), Peabody Hotel is a block away. One downside: Lyft drivers seemed confused about where to drop off or pick up, usually stopping on the other side of Peabody Place. The back courtyard entrance of the hotel, near the parking garage, is somewhat hidden even when I gave the Lyft drivers directions. Clean - including the top of the shower curtain railing, I checked. Housekeeping - didn't need cleaning or bedding changing, just a change of towels. The young housekeeping black man(forgot his name) was very personable and accommodating. Breakfast buffet - the two women worked hard, constantly keeping the area clean and tidy, having food out, and taking our plates away when done. Standard fare - eggs (omelet or scrambled), sausage links or patties, potatoes, do it yourself waffles, oatmeal, breads, yogurt, coffee & tea & juice. Fruit was not ripe. Room- the *best shower water pressure* I've ever felt! A night light was in the bathroom, a considerate feature when the room lights are off. Above the center night stand, the electrical outlet on the left needed occasional jiggling to maintain a connection, I forgot to tell the front desk about this. Mattress and pillows were comfortable. A/C worked well. One con: inquired about late checkout as a Hilton Honors member and was told it was not possible. That's the first time I was ever told that.

It benefits from a great location being within steps of Beale Street, and both Grizzlies and Redbirds games! It's also quiet on the upper floors, and the breakfast is spectacular as always. Parking will set you back $26 every 24 hours and an additional hourly charge for staying past 1:00 p.m. the following day. So yeah, you pay for the location. It's not a great bargain for the price. But it's good enough if you want to stay in the heart of Memphis. The music from Beale Street is loud throughout the night, but the hotel is kind enough to provide earplugs in your room. That leaky toilet will keep you up all night, though! And the outlets are so stripped, you'll get an unpleasant surprise in the morning when you realize your devices haven't recharged!! That was the worst aspect of this hotel!!

I have the ability to choose my own room based on what I booked. I chose the corner room because typically they are larger, but come to find out that this particular room is much smaller than the standard kings elsewhere in the property, and the photos do not apply to the room type that I booked. I'm a Hilton diamond member, and anticipated an upgrade, which was not available, even though the hotel was not sold out. The restaurant and bar have an 18% auto gratuity that was not disclosed until I received my check. Have they not added the gratuity to it, I would've tipped my standard 20%. Probably the biggest issue I had was the lack of hot water. When I contacted the front desk, the agent informed me that I would need to run the shower for an average of 15 to 20 minutes for the hot water to start, which is ridiculous that they do not have a larger enough boiler to accommodate the entire hotel property. I asked to speak to the manager on duty and she told me that they were not available and that if I have further concerns, I need to take it up with the hotel general manager in the morning. No compensation was offered, and she said there's no point in moving rooms because the hot water situation will be the same regardless of the room chosen. While this property was in policy within my corporate travel guidelines, I will not be staying here again.
