Long story short, it took 3 weeks to get my 2017 Brooklyn medal engraved after coming in to pick it up when they said it would be ready twice. Then not being called when it was ready. Unethical and probably illegal business practices. I made an order on the phone and we had made an agreement on the price. When I came to pick it up they raised the price by 50% after they realized I usually place orders directly from their supplier for cheaper than what they charge. https://www.crownawards.com/ They realized I only ordered a small order because I needed it that day and I had no other options so they knew I was not going to be a returning customer and needed it on short notice so they just changed the price by 50%. Like other people have said, my experience was pretty bad at Crown Trophy. I found them rude and unpleasant to deal with. I just called to verify an order (an order that they're late on, by the way) and they said "We open at 9, can you call back later." It was 8:50. They were even rude with me when I was browsing the store-- it was like they were annoyed that I was shopping there. If I'm buying a $500 trophy I'd like to be UP TO DATE on the status of it. They told me they would call when it was finished and ready to be picked up, however, I never received a call so when I finally called they told me it was ready. Then I get to the store and I end up waiting 30 minutes while they rush around to try and finish it. I used this company because I was told to do so for my boss, if this was for personal use I WOULD NEVER COME BACK!. Also, the lady had the nerve to give me an attitude!! My visit to the shop today, Jan 7th, 2015: my sales manager and I needed an acrylic or glass trophy. The shop had a cleaning lady working hard and a manager sitting behind the desk. No one greeted us as my manager and I browsed the selection they had on the shelves. Waited long enough to be serviced I went up to the manager and informed him that we are looking for pricing on some of these trophies. No acknowledgement other than a small nod from him. Again, we waited for him as he continue to sit and look at his computer. We finally asked how does this work? Do we bring the samples to you in order for you to help us? And yes, we had to do that. His first question to us was "when do you need this by?" Follow by "what is your budget?" Long story short, I'm a regional director for the #1 Heath club chain in nyc and my sales manager was looking for a trophy to present to his top sales person in nyc at the end of the month. As someone whose in the sales and service industry, I feel sorry for the owner of this place.
