I typed a detailed review and Yelp lost it at submission. Long story short, it took 3 weeks to get my 2017 Brooklyn medal engraved after coming in to pick it up when they said it would be ready twice. Then not being called when it was ready. When I received it I was not thrilled as the engraving was very light and way off center. They did wave the $10 engraving fee. I won't use them again. read more

Unethical and probably illegal business practices. I made an order on the phone and we had made an agreement on the price. When I came to pick it up they raised the price by 50% after they realized I usually place orders directly from their supplier for cheaper than what they charge. https://www.crownawards.com/ They realized I only ordered a small order because I needed it that day and I had no other options so they knew I was not going to be a returning customer and needed it on short notice so they just changed the price by 50%. Completely unethical but what am I suppose to do? Not give kids in the tournament their trophies? Disgusting and unethical. read more

I'm giving this place 1 star because yelp won't let me give them 0 i called and the person on the phone was super rude, then when i get there the man at the counter was even more rude, i just walked out. Don't act like you are doing me a favor when I'm spending my money in your business read more

Crown Trophy came through in a last minute request for my organization with gorgeous glass engraved awards. I don't know what I would have done without them and it was so appreciated!! read more

Absolutely unpleasant and unprofessional. Ordered a trophy there was told it was metal, ended up being cheap plastic. When I told the guy who submitted the order for me I was unhappy, he literally shrugged. The service is sarcastic bordering on mean. The subtext of each utterance out of this man's mouth was "go f yourself". If yelp had negative stars, I would give it a negative 50. Find another place to go read more

This was one of the WORST experiences I have ever had! I ordered from them last year and thought maybe they were just having a bad day... I'll try again next year (benefit of the doubt...) And again it was even WORSE than last year!!! (so I decided to warn ANYONE looking to go here) I had to take my trophy back 2 times because the printing was not lined correctly and it printed OFF the front of the trophy onto the side and once onto the bottom!!! They had to fix it so many times I had to present the trophy wrong and swap it out AFTER the ceremony. Not only that but the Men working there have NO sense of professionalism. They are rude on the phone - rude when you walk in and take personal phone calls in the middle of checking you out! (they don't apologize for stopping and interrupting...) read more

Crown trophy saved the day! I was hosting a large employee recognition ceremony and my trophy delivery from another vendor didn't arrive. At 5pm the night before a 12pm event I called Crown Trophy in a panic and asked if they could help. Not only did they come through, but they couldn't be nicer people or plaques. Thank you for making me look good! read more

Second time here and it continues to delight. Why? You want trophies, they got em. You want it engraved and ready ASAP, done. You want to support small business, check. You want to experience real people who may or may not laugh at your lame response to their simple question: May I Help you? My response: Got any trophies? They are here. You want curb to door service, they will do that, seriously, I was a witness to such an exchange. Get your trophies et al here and preserve a real NYC treasure. read more

Like other people have said, my experience was pretty bad at Crown Trophy. I found them rude and unpleasant to deal with. I just called to verify an order (an order that they're late on, by the way) and they said "We open at 9, can you call back later." It was 8:50. They were even rude with me when I was browsing the store-- it was like they were annoyed that I was shopping there. If you have another option to buy your trophy from, I recommend going to that other place instead of this one. read more

I had planned on getting a shadow box done for a specific date. Woman had no problem taken my money but then called days later saying they had no shadow boxes In stock and they didn't know when they were getting any in. This is what they do and their business. Horrible service, rude and unprofessional! I would never go back or recommend to anyone. read more

Just called with some basic questions about what they had in stock and pricing and it was like pulling teeth. I'm trying to buy something from you! Why do I feel like you're mad at me?! read more

If I'm buying a $500 trophy I'd like to be UP TO DATE on the status of it. They told me they would call when it was finished and ready to be picked up, however, I never received a call so when I finally called they told me it was ready. Then I get to the store and I end up waiting 30 minutes while they rush around to try and finish it. I used this company because I was told to do so for my boss, if this was for personal use I WOULD NEVER COME BACK!. Also, the lady had the nerve to give me an attitude!! Overall, extremely poor customer service. read more

My company needed 10 crystal awards on a rush basis. Crown couldn't have been more helpful. They completed the awards in time for the event, and the awards looked beautiful! I would highly recommend using this company for any award needs! read more

Please look elsewhere if you need any sort of custom plaques or trophies. They messed up two of my orders even though instructions were extremely clear. Staff is rude and unpleasant to deal with. read more

Crown Trophy saves the day! I found Crown after a different Manhattan shop had failed to produce my trophy on time. Marc was able to correspond last-minute, and his team produced a beautiful acrylic award with a custom design. They took my order and my artwork via email, and I picked up the award within 4 hours! Amazingly smooth. Next time, I'll go to Crown first. read more

I had to buy some awards for my job. The have a vast array of products. The guy that helped me answered all my questions.

The big guy in front with white hair seems very unmotivated to help you with anything. Fortunately there are others in the store that actually smile and have customer service skills and are helpful. read more

Nice guys. I needed a custom medal and they did a great job for a great price. I'm sure they also do a great job on larger orders for teams and the like.. read more

Wonderfully helpful staff! Turning around an order in 2 days -- very impressed. Gave us an awesome, creative suggestion for our awards, too. Very happy with the service. Thumbs up! read more

Marc helped me out of a bind here.. our fantasy football draft was 6 hours away and we had no trophy! He built a custom trophy, with engraved name plates for the past winners, within a few hours. The service was exceptional and our team was thrilled with the end product. read more

Thank you to the President of Crown Trophy for reaching out and offering a remedy for the situation. While my experience is tainted, I truly appreciate and respect the establishment for trying to do right by their customers. While I am not totally convinced yet, I would consider giving them another try due to the efforts by management. read more

The guys at Crown Trophy did a great job with my fantasy football championship trophy -- they turned around the order quickly just in time for our year-end dinner! The trophy is sturdy and built to last. It has a beautiful wood base with small plaques for the names of future champions names to be inscribed. Great quality and great customer service -- couldn't be more pleased! read more

Looking at the reviews below, Crown must've gotten a new customer service rep, because the service could not have been better. We needed a trophy on a rush basis for our fantasy football league, and Crown delivered. I originally was going to get a standard trophy, but when Crown had an option to get a championship belt, I couldn't resist. It'll make a great addition to the league for years to come! read more

I procrastinated getting music medals for three very hard-working 7-year-old pianists. Not even Amazon could help me. I walked into Crown Trophy on a Thursday afternoon, and the excellent staff was able to get an order in for me just under the wire, that arrived the next day. Cannot express my gratitude enough, and I can't wait for the young musicians to get their beautiful medals this weekend. I'll be back (but not at the last minute again; I promise!). read more

My company needed a trophy for a sporting event so I emailed Crown Trophy on a Tuesday and the trophy was in my office by Friday. I worked with Alex L. via email and he was super responsive! Fast replies, answered all my questions, emailed photos, professional and friendly. Great experience and my team loves the trophy! read more

My visit to the shop today, Jan 7th, 2015: my sales manager and I needed an acrylic or glass trophy. The shop had a cleaning lady working hard and a manager sitting behind the desk. No one greeted us as my manager and I browsed the selection they had on the shelves. Waited long enough to be serviced I went up to the manager and informed him that we are looking for pricing on some of these trophies. No acknowledgement other than a small nod from him. Again, we waited for him as he continue to sit and look at his computer. We finally asked how does this work? Do we bring the samples to you in order for you to help us? And yes, we had to do that. His first question to us was "when do you need this by?" Follow by "what is your budget?" Long story short, I'm a regional director for the #1 Heath club chain in nyc and my sales manager was looking for a trophy to present to his top sales person in nyc at the end of the month. As someone whose in the sales and service industry, I feel sorry for the owner of this place. Needless to say that this manager "Adam" of this establishment is an example I will be using to coach my team on customer service. I will be taking my business some where else. read more

Rude and unhelpful. Took them half an hour to locate my trophy and they acted as if it was my fault they couldn't find it. The trophy that I got was also not what I had ordered. Not recommended. read more

The owner/manager has no concept of customer service. I came in, he looked up, proceeded to take a call without acknowledging me. Then was rude all throughout the interaction. Their work is sloppy the store frankly seems like a front for something read more

Stepping foot into this store was one of the WORST experiences of my life. There was only one guy when I walked in, named Adam, sitting at a desk, who didn't even look up at us when we walked in. It's like he's doing you a favor by answering a simple yes or no question. He was very rude and didn't have an ounce of customer service skills. The store is messy and dirty. If I could I would give 0 stars.Do yourself a favor a don't ever go there. read more

Excellent work from all staff involved..My custom shirts were made exactly how I wanted them. Price was reasonable & the time frame I needed to have it done was fast!!! Special Thanks to my representative Mella you really got it done. Thanks Crown! read more

Crown Trophy turned around a large, complicated order for us in record time. It was 94 pieces, most with unique individual engraving, on several different items (plaques, paperweights, glass awards). The products were exceptional, and exactly what we asked for, turned around in less than a week. Adam made sure that this order received the attention it needed, and was a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend this business. read more

This place has some of the worst customer service that I've ever experienced. The employees are annoying and condescending and do not offer any options if asked without having to pry. I wanted to get 60 trophies made for my kids soccer teams and was told that the order was 'too big'. I'm sorry for trying to give you so much business. read more

I am sorry I gave this place my business. The worst customer service I have ever received. Everyone who "helped" me acted like I was bothering them. Go somewhere else - anywhere else! read more

Quality product, reasonable price, excellent customer service! I purchased some trophy's for my championship softball team. Everyone on the team loved them. Lets keep winning so we can come back and get more trophy's! read more

Needed a rush plaque and had no idea where to go. Got a few recommendations to Crown Trophy and they did not disappoint! Service was great and turnaround time was better than expected. The plaque came out perfectly, definitely going back! read more

I wanted to have a plaque made up for my son and needed a recommendation for a reputable place in NYC as I have had bad experiences with other stores in the past. A couple of my friends recommended that I try Crown Trophy. The staff seemed friendly and attentive, which was already a plus compared to my experiences elsewhere. I was discussing an idea I had in my head with Marc. He had showed me a few different choices and provide me with his recommendation, which I had ultimately went with. The turn-around time was better than expected. I was extremely pleased with the finished product, and more importantly my son was very happy. If you are looking for a great place for plaques or trophies then I highly recommend going to Crown Trophy. read more
