There are so many great things to say about this resort! From the time you pull up to the front entrance, you are greeted by the welcoming, friendly staff (even a princess for the kids). There is a security station set up, to protect the guests. The check-in process is super easy and quick, sipping on fresh juice, while you wait. After checking in, you can check out the AMAZING buffet. There was food from all over the world and the variety changed each day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Some of the staples remained, but the variety of the other items changed. Outside the main area of the resort, were multiple pools, surrounded by lush greenery. Also, a walkway led down to the private beach, where you could snorkel among the coral reefs and natural wildlife under the water. If you have a chance to do the guided snorkel safari there, it is WELL worth it and tons of fun! The guest rooms were extremely updated, modern and relaxing. Dark wood throughout with modern accents. The bedding felt like you were sleeping on air and there was so much space within the room even with the desk, tv/entertainment curio, sofa bed, chair, etc. Additionally, if you want a nice relaxing dinner or to hang out at a bar with great drinks, go to Cowrie Cove. What a great dining option, secluded toward the rear of the resort. Has an amazing restaurant as well as a great bar/lounge area. Great staff and got in with no reservations! Also at the resort is a nice fitness gym with sauna/steam room, spa, golf course and multiple other restaurants, lounges and bar areas. You never have to leave the resort if you choose not to and honestly, Shangri-La makes you not want to leave the resort. Truly wish I had more time during with my visit to the resort and enjoy it so much more! I am trying to figure out when I can get back to Shangri-La to enjoy it even more! However, they do give amzing service to the most parts where needed. The lobby is a bustling line of patrons patiently awaiting to check in, a good 30 to 60 minutes on a busy day and perhaps longer on busier season and special holidays. They don't leave you unattended while waiting, a fresh juice and pastry is served while standing in line After checking in you can explore the massive hotel inside and out. There's a lot to see and check out. The rooms are great and modern, I mean I could get a phenomenal room at Cesar's Palace in Vegas for a cheaper price but the hospitality and service here is superb (i think that's what you're paying half the price of your stay!) There's an array of food to choose from. Asian cuisine, western cooking, a few Mediterranean dishes and of course the staple dishes of Cebu. The menu changes from breakfast to lunch and dinner. You will enjoy tasting dishes you have not tried before and the meal comes with your package. There's a list of restaurants and stores in the area to explore. Service with a smile but really lip-service. Cable was not working, jacuzzi was broken, no hot water, and phone did not work. That made room service out of the question. The pool doesn't seem like it has been cleaned and weeks with the grime on the tiling. Every time I brought up an issue, the staff were apologetic, but nothing was done to improve the situation. You have to carry cash everywhere because you can't bill things to your room. This is supposed to be a luxury hotel. Staff were hit or miss. The pool girl was more interested in telling you the rules rather than making you feel welcome. Efficiency was not evident. Pool service was slow as mentioned elsewhere. Also, a service charge is added onto your bill. I spent way too much money here as you are trapped with nothing close by. Do yourself a favor and book elsewhere and save a good chunk of money. This hotel should be a third of the price, considering how many amenities were not functioning. The rooms are a good size, but I don't really care for wicker used as indoor furniture. All the furnishings in the hotel feel worn and dated. Waterfront is a misnomer because the view is of the airport. I am taking this franchise off my list. The only thing worth mentioning is the breakfast buffet. However, I Purchased it with my room. The restaurant tends to be over priced, but the food is decent. And where there is one roach, there's usually a family. I would expect at Radisson hotel to be cleaner and roach-free. Their king sized bed is actually two double beds pushed together. Sleeping near the middle of the bed meant back pain since it is not one big mattress and we were essentially sleeping on the edge of a double mattress. Another downside is that they would not allow for strong smelling fruits and foods to be brought into the room. I wanted to purchase a small handful of dried fish and local delicacies as souvenirs, but I didn't want to be fined by the hotel. Our flight left early in the morning so we couldn't find time to go before the airport. We didn't have a chance to visit any of the amenities. The pool looked nice from afar, and we wanted to visit the spa but we could never make it before 10 PM. The location is generally good as it's close to the mall where you can dine, shop, and exchange currency. Overall, this stay was incredibly disappointing.

I noticed that 90% of the visitors were Korean. I want to go swimming next time. Super clean and new. Like only 8 years old. Great establishment. Will come back again!!
