Cockroach. Big fat cockroach found in the sink at 4 AM. Called for housekeeping to remove it and they did not come for 10 mins which is a long time for someone who is extremely afraid of roaches. And where there is one roach, there's usually a family. I would expect at Radisson hotel to be cleaner and roach-free. Their king sized bed is actually two double beds pushed together. Sleeping near the middle of the bed meant back pain since it is not one big mattress and we were essentially sleeping on the edge of a double mattress. Another downside is that they would not allow for strong smelling fruits and foods to be brought into the room. I wanted to purchase a small handful of dried fish and local delicacies as souvenirs, but I didn't want to be fined by the hotel. Our flight left early in the morning so we couldn't find time to go before the airport. We didn't have a chance to visit any of the amenities. The pool looked nice from afar, and we wanted to visit the spa but we could never make it before 10 PM. The location is generally good as it's close to the mall where you can dine, shop, and exchange currency. Overall, this stay was incredibly disappointing. read more

Overall, enjoyed my stay here. There's a walkway right into the SM City mall next door which is plentiful with restaurants and shops and salons. The gym in the basement has very basic aging equipment though, and the pool was emptied out at the time of my stay. Nonetheless there's a big grassy field with hammocks and the pool bar was open but quiet. I got a Suite which was very spacious and came with lounge access with happy hours and daily clothes pressing complimentary. The breakfast choices were good. I especially liked their Chinese food selection of dim sum and fried rice and noodles and congee. My only issue was that as a night shift worker, they weren't able to accomodate any requests for overnight housekeeping. Still on the whole it's a solid 4 stars. read more

For the last nights of the Cebu adventure we stayed at the Radisson Blu in Cebu City. Such a beautiful resort and so close to the nightlife people talk about. Right next door to the massive mall and is housed with full security and top notch service. I opted to upgrade to business class with lounge access and it was worth every dollar. Breakfast spread is amazing, snacks for lunch, and an amazing cocktail hour with tons of finger foods to enjoy with your wine or beer. Overall this was such an amazing upgrade to our first hotel that we stayed at in Cebu City. Had hot water, and knowledgeable staff. Highly recommend this resort when staying in Cebu if you don't know the city because they will point you in the right direction. read more

Our home away from home for a couple of days. First time Cebu visit (in a party of ten!) cousin decided we stay here based on her prior experience. (Clearly she loved it here, so it came highly recommended!) And I will admit she was right: wow, this place! It's a beautifully laid out open first floor. Simple and modern decor and everything was nicely spaced out. And incredibly clean - those floors really came through with a nice shine! Oh, and the flowers were a very VERY nice touch! Checking in was easy, and after a long day of touring the city, it was nice to finally relax (and regroup) in our assigned rooms. And the rooms were just as beautifully laid out. The sheets and pillows were fresh clean. The floors were free of clutter. The bathroom (very important!) was just as pristine. Couldn't complain about that! Breakfast was included during our stay and the spread is incredible. There is something for everyone - they've even included an omelet station. There are plenty types of cuisine to choose from: American, French, Italian, etc., and of course, Filipino food. (Seriously, if you can't find anything you want here, you're the problem. Heeeee!) And the staff! They were all PERFECT! From the concierge to the servers to the bartenders. No snags here! Only a couple of minor setbacks: 1) The AC at the lobby crapped out and didn't work up to par. It worked some, but it was still a bit muggy. It was better at night, but it was a bit of uncomfy during the day. (Good thing we were out touring the city for the most part of the day.) 2) Hubbers, Big Bro and I shared one room, Mom and her crew were next door. We asked to open the access door between rooms. They managed to do this, but it kept locking up. We told them about it and they fixed it immediately but it kept locking up again - so often that we just kinda gave up on it. 3) Unbeknownst to me, Mom's room was missing the third bed on the first night AFTER they assured me it was going to be available. (I only found out when I checked on them the next day.) Mom didn't complain about it as the chase was okay to sleep on (for one of her crew) but that isn't the point: I'm getting charged extra for that bed. BUT! Hotel concierge handled this by providing it immediately AND comp'ing that as well as the third bed in our room. Cost?! Reasonable and worth it! Trust! Otherwise, we loved our stay here. The extra bonus is that SM is (literally) next door. Hubbers and I plan on coming through Cebu to hit the other tourist places we didn't get to check off our list. On-site meals at the Feria buffet were excellent. A two minute walk to the SM City Cebu mall will satisfy most of your shopping needs. Ten minute taxi ride to Pier 1 for OceanJet connections. Taxi rides to Mactan Cebu International Airport were pleasantly short. I saw an entire Korean Airlines flight crew and attendants arrive for an overnight stay. Consider the location vetted. I would recommend. The pool was under renovation thus losing a star. read more

This is my favorite place to stay when in Cebu. Just about 30 minutes from the airport, RBC is located next to SM mall where I like to do my shopping (clothes, Apple Store, snacks, souvenirs, etc.) before traveling to another island. In January of 2023, I stayed here twice. Initially I got a superior room. The next visit, I got upgraded to a business class room which comes with a sofa, Nespresso coffee maker, and potential access to the business lounge on the 20th floor. The staff is very professional and friendly. They will try to do the best they can to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. During the day, I like the lobby lounge which is very spacious. Aside from a full bar and a good menu for dining, try the juice and coffee bar. Fresh juices, smoothies, and coffees are locally sourced. read more

The NICE Hotel where you can go in 20 minutes from MC International Airport by taxi. And you can go to the shopping and/or take a meal at SM mall directly from Radisson hotel. Of course you can go to the central Cebu city in 10 minutes. The room is clean and comfortable, and you can connect a high speed Wifi. The bathroom doesn't have a bathtub, you can use only shower. I had a major problem with the first desk. I was traveling with a group and I forgot my key upstairs in the room. Completely forgetting I needed it for the elevator. Front desk refused to believe I was staying there. They called my room to verify I was indeed with the group. They had my passport copy and my name on file! I've had several very good experiences at radisson blu cebu but my visit last week ended terribly, All because of my very poor employee in the business lounge. We had two rooms booked for three nights, then changed the reservation for two nights as we were departing a day earlier. On our departure day, we requested "6pm late departure upon availability" and were told 1pm is the latest. Our business class intro letter stated the benefit of "6pm upon availability" which is understandable. Our flight was departing at 8pm so we wanted to leave the hotel at 5pm. The business lounge agent agreed to a 1pm checkout. We said we would checkout, then wait in the lounge. She said, "that's fine but we will charge you a percent of anything you eat or drink." So we said we will just get a half day rate for one room. Amazingly, one of our rooms was available for a half day rate IF WE PAID!!! So we paid the half day rate for one room. Isn't it interesting that the room is not available for late 6pm BUT is available for a paid half day rate??? To make things worse, I forgot something I the safe of the second room so at 3am the next day, I called from another country to ask if anything had been found and the desk agent said they could check the safe right away as the room remained unoccupied!! I have written to the hotel twice but get a very generic "sorry for the misunderstanding in communication" from the customer service manager. I changed my review from a 1 to 3 because of the following: After three emails, the hotel actually called me from cebu to the US and agreed to waive the half day rate. They still kept apologizing for the miscommunication and I stressed it wasn't miscommunication...they just wouldn't give me a late checkout when they had rooms available. Anyway, In waiving our half day rate, we essentially got a late checkout but shouldn't have had to go through this to get what should have been a benefit anyway. read more

When visiting Cebu the Radisson Blu is a great option for hotels to stay at. Pricing would be considered one of the higher end options for locals(almost P4000/night), but what you get in return is well worth it. Comfortable rooms, great lounge with live music, friendly staff, literally right next door to an SM mall, one of the better hotel gyms I've been to which offers free training with their staff, etc. We also attended a wedding reception there and we're able to see their ballrooms. Very spacious, nice, and able to host a gathering of more than 100 guests, with a very tasty buffet option. The hotel is located close to pretty much everything you'll want to see in Cebu City, it's just the traffic you'll have to deal with constantly nearly every day of the week. Talk about ridiculous, traffic in Cebu is almost as bad as in Manila. Might be worse in a few years. Getting into the hotel front lobby from the street outside takes some patience and waiting for a taxi at the front is the same. That is out of the hotel's control, so I can't fault them for that. It's just quite frustrating sometimes, especially when you can literally see your destination but it takes 45min+ just to drive there. Anyways the Radisson is always one of our first options when staying in Cebu City. So far we've never been disappointed with our stays there. read more

We stayed here in between our adventures to other islands is close to the pier so if you're planning on taking a ferry it's a great location for that. The reason for the low star review is the rooms here have a smelly funk... not sure what's going on there but our first room was so bad I had them move us however the only available with a king was a smoking room and I absolutely hate the smell of cigarettes but it was by far better than whatever was going on in the other room. We ordered room service when got in, it was late and we were tired. I wasn't expecting anything amazing from a club sandwich order but the French fries were so bad I couldn't eat them and dismantled my sandwich and just ate the insides. Although the stay wasn't that bad I'm not sure I would pick this hotel in Cebu again. read more

Stayed here last month (August 2018) visiting from the USA. Hotel room was clean and the bathroom was new and well kept. Comfortable clean bedding. Housekeeping, front desk, restaurant/bar staff were all polite and helpful. The lobby is beautiful and the pool and gym were nice too. There is an outdoor stairway that takes you to the SM City Cebu Mall. We visited 5 different islands and the buffet at the Radisson Blu was the best buffet we had in all of the Philippines. Wifi is free here and the connection is very strong. Even faster than the wifi at my own house. Radisson Blu offers a BMW for airport shuttle, nothing larger available. It's $30 USD one way. We called a Grab (owned by Uber) and it was about $5 USD one way. I would stay here again. read more

The lobby was reminiscent to those of Vegas hotels. It  just wasn't a casino. Upon entering the hotel, you'll have to go through a security check point, complete with guard dogs. So you'll definitely feel safe. Hotel is adjacent to SM City Mall. ( They have a path and a set of stairs to get to the mall, the gate closes at 10 PM, so you'll have to walk around to the front once the gate to access the hotel is closed). Check in wasn't as quick as I expected it to be since there were no apparent persons waiting in queue. Once I was called next to be assisted, the receptionist was very pleasing and accomodating. She was quick and also gave me the run down of the time table for cocktails and breakfast and various amenities which had an "hours of operation". We wondered a bit before I asked where the elevators were. I ended up going towards the ballroom. Anywho the friendly staff assisted us and pointed us towards the correct direction. We were given a room on the 4th floor. Room 408, a "premiere suite", to be exact. At first I was concerned that it was close to the elevators but it didn't give me any issues during my stay. (fyi room 409 is directly in front of the elevators). We entered our room and was greeted with a mirrored hallway. Just ahead to the right is the guest restroom (which the door just perfectly cleared the sink so that it opens entirely. Guest restroom was a little cramped had to step to the side of the toilet to get out so that the door doesn't hit you while you stand there) then a desk and living area. Theres another door that serves as the entrance to the bedroom. The hallway closet setup was very practical and I appreciated this type of layout. So it's like you enter a closet space/hallway then you enter the bedroom. The door to the bathroom is immediatly on your right. Bedroom was of good size and had a small sitting area as well. King size bed had controls by the bedside to turn various lights on and off throughout the bedroom. Bathroom: Spacious, and it even had its own hallway to the toilet. When you enter you'll be greeted with the vanity area, and to the left the tub and shower room. I noticed that the sink had an odor whenever I went to wash my hands. I believe the odor was coming from the drain. Sink water was either cold or luke warm at best. The bath area was separated by a frosted glass door. Upon entering the bath area the bathtub is directly in front of you, the hightlight for this room. To the right, the shower. I was also pleased with this design where the bathtub and shower were separated. I was relieved that the water for bathing and showering had an option for hot and not luke warm water. Water pressure was also good. Toilet flushed the same as back in the States, only you have to press and hold down on the flusher until all is gone. Elevators: At first it was quick then the following morning on our way to breakfast the elevators were noticeably slow in arriving. I mean literally 5 minutes passed before we were able to get to the lobby. That's wait time to get into an elevator not the elevator journey down. Pool/ Gym area: Pool was of good size, but I was told it was not a heated pool. When we went the day was breezy and cool coming from rain, so we didn't go swimming. I also did not get a chance to use the gym facility but passed by on our way back from the pool area. Gym was of good size, resort style size. I don't know if it's the norm over here but they have employees who are assigned to the gym area. I just find it kinda strange that there are employees of the hotel assisting while you work out, rather guard the entrance. Not even Lifetime Fitness does this back home in the States. If the hotel is so concerned with people who are not guests of the hotel using their facilities then maybe the hotel should just have keycard locks outside entrances, similiar to numerous hotels across the world. *shrugs* Anyway Spa services are also located on this floor. Staff: I can't praise the staff enough on their quality of service and professionlism. We went to their courtyard one evening for a night cap before heading up and our waiter even offered some insect repellent to deter mosquitos from consuming us. Bravo! Everyone from the pretty lady who escorted us to the elevator, to the waiters/waitresses, and receptionists of the hotel were all very cordial and accomodating. Professionals in pleasing guests. Keep up the spectacular service! We felt we were treated as vip's. *2 thumbs up plus a bag of chips* Overall: Although pricey compared to other hotels in the Cebu City area, the price is about average in comparison to 3 star hotels back in the U.S. Here at Radisson Blu Cebu you definitely get 5 star service. We've stayed at a Radisson out in California but it wasn't a stay like this. Very Good Radisson Blu Cebu, Very Good indeed! We will be back again! read more

The hotel aims to 'wow' you from the moment you check-in to the time you check-out. I made the reservation via phone and it was a breeze. I'm glad I was able to take advantage of their current room promo. They take your security very seriously. You even need your room key to get on the elevator. No wonder they are a favorite among politicians, diplomats and businessmen. Well they're now a favorite of mine! My three-year-old had a blast at their swimming pool which had many shallow areas for her to play. The layout made it easy for me to keep an eye on her. Room service was very professional when they delivered the food. The breakfast buffet included in the price of the room was exceptional and I enjoyed the smiles and enthusiasm of one of their trainee servers. Marjorie Barretto was our celebrity sighting that morning. The lobby is huge and very elegant. The staff greet you everywhere you go and seem happy and content to be working there. The General Manager is very hands-on and you see him surveying the hotel often. The room we were in looked very sophisticated and the bathroom was a dream. A bellman who saw me struggling with my bags offered help right away and arranged a cab for me while I was checking out. It's right next to a major mall (SM City Cebu) so if you don't feel like splurging on hotel food there are countless options a few steps away. The only thing that turned me off really was a whiff of trash by the pool. The trucks must've been collecting around that time. Maybe they can fix that. read more

I stay in a lot of hotels as I travel quite a bit for work, but this place was really insanely good. The Feria restaurant had a breakfast buffet that was super good with quite a large mix of international foods. The rooms were super big (I booked deluxe) and really clean. The thing that really pushed this place to 5 stars though was the service. I have never been in a hotel where all the staff seemed to be entirely happy, and willing to go the extra mile to help make your stay better. One guy stood out above all the others. Oliver works in Feria and was super helpful to my wife and I. Its a self service buffet but he served us with tea and fruits every morning during our stay. It was my wife's birthday and our wedding anniversary during our stay and the hotel left cakes in our room for both occasions! I would entirely recommend staying here and my wife and I are looking forward to our next visit. read more

I seldom make reviews about the Hotels I go to around Asia, but this Hotel Radisson Blu takes the cake. Talk about horrible service. From the moment I stepped down from my cab the bellman was very rough with my bags and scuffed my leather suitcase. The security rudely insisted that they open the bag I was carrying. The frontdesk took FOREVER to check us in and the room was very dusty we were coughing and sneezing all night. It also smelled like a wetrag was left overnight. Really disappointed with this hotel. Dirty rooms bad service equates to unhappy clientele. Would not recommend this to anyone. Hope this warning helps. read more

I stayed here for just over 2 weeks in the business rooms. Great hotel with great service all around. The guys/service at the pool bar was great. Everyone at the hotel showed much respect and was very customer service oriented. Best part of my stay was meeting Chef Singh at the buffet. This gentleman is truly a great chef. With all the opitions available in the buffet I kept going back to Chef Singh's cooking. I've had Indian food from different parts of the world including India itself but I have to say this was by far some of the best cooking outside of India, and honestly even matched dishes made in India. I met with Chef Singh multiple times during the dinner buffet to compliment him personally on his talent and what a humble gentleman he was. On one of the first occasions when I complimented him on his cooking he told me there was no better feeling than knowing someone was enjoying his cooked meals. That right there reminded me of what my mother would say. I tried to meet with management on the day of check out so I could let them know what a gem them had in an Indian chef but no one was available but a supervisor for the kitchen. I still let her know but really wanted to wright this review because I don't feel the kitchen staff quite gets the gratitude or recogniation that someone else at the hotel might. Chef Singh thank you again for making me feel at home and making me some amazing dishes that I will not forget. read more
