Good food, if they bring enough. I had a party for 30 people, and the owner who cooks the bbq on location, didn't arrive on time, and the ultimate no-no for a caterer...failed to bring enough food. We ordered 3 meat dishes to be served, along with 2 vegetable dishes and halwaa. Several days before the event, we had 4 additional RSVPs and I called the owner to make sure of any necessary adjustments. He reassured us that he brings plenty of extra food and for us not to worry at all. In fact, he insisted on still charging us for 30 even if extra guests showed up. However, after the food was served to the first round of 20 guests, someone told me that the chicken had finished within the first few minutes. I spoke to the owner, and he just gave me a blank look and shrugged his shoulders. His excuse was that a couple of kids took too much. The most confusing part was that there were only 20 guests present when the food ran out and 14 more were still on their way. It was already frustrating to be put in this predicament with more guests still coming, but to make matters worse, the owners daughter made rude and unprofessional remarks while I spoke to the owner. Disappointingly, the owner never even attempted to accept responsibility, nor provide any concession on the final bill, or even apologize. He just wanted his cash payment and leave. To make things worse, they are untrustworthy. The owner told me he has to drive 3 hours from Richmond and pay his employees, so adds on an additional surcharge of $300. Then it turns out he's coming from Spotsylvania, which is actually an hour and twenty minute drive, not three hours, and the employees are his own children. Terrible service and dishonest. Not worth the headache or embarrassment if you want a successful event. read more
