Crowbar was cool. Saw JMSN here and he put on a great show. I didn't catch the name of the band who opened for him but they were really dope! Crowbar has great drinks and entertainment. Stop by to check them out !

It was such a good time!!!!! We went on a Sunday night and that's when all the dancers come out. I mean literal breakdancers and they come out the woodworks. It's CRAZY! SUCH A VIBE! I'll truly never forget this night. They sell food until late and they have alcohol free beer which, for me, is a MUST! It's truly a cool artsy place, great for photos and videos. Also, they have artists on the premises. LOVED IT!

One of my favorite spots to enjoy local shows. Small and intimate, dive-bar like spot with an awesome outdoor patio. I can't remember ever paying more than $20 to see a show here. I stood in the very back by the bar and as you can see from the photo - there's not a bad view in the house. They usually do food trucks on show nights. Crowbar is a Ybor staple, especially w Orpheum gone. I will continue to check their upcoming shows and can't wait for the next one. Pic is of Jack Kays on 11/12.

Drinks are strong, live music was amazing! We searched and searched for bars with live music and couldn't locate any. Friends invited us and honestly we were reluctant as we thought Crow Bar was a heavy metal only bar. We enjoyed Displace and Speakeasy. Def will be back!

Cool small live music venue in Ybor. Makes House of Blues look massive in comparison. Draft Beers $8-12 at the live show I want to. Seems like they have some specials on Sundays. Small thing, but annoying, website sucks. Slow to load. Said show was at 7 and doors were also at 7. Show was actually at 8. Other than that, cool hole in the wall live music bar.

Crowbar is a great live music venue. I have been here for 3-4 different concerts and I have thoroughly enjoyed each experience. I have seen mostly local or smaller bands here as it isn't near as big as The Ritz. However, small can be great. It is an intimate venue where you are almost guaranteed a great view. They have a nice sound system, great lighting, and comfortable nooks and crannies to hang out in. I also love that they always have free water and cups. I normally forget and end up purchasing water bottles...but even those are reasonable ($2 each). The space has a nice outdoor courtyard if you need some fresh air or a quieter area to talk to friends. There is also a raised platform off to one side of the stage for an elevated view if that is your thing. There are generally a handful of seats around the venue, but not a lot within view of the stage. I like Crowbar a lot and I will be back when a group I love performs here.

Cool, intimate venue for a concert - you'll have a good view from almost anywhere in the room, and there are even a few seats. Saw The Early November here last night and was impressed. Feels like a typical ybor bar and has a cool outdoor space with an additional bar. Good crowd too. Would rather see artists here than at the Ritz or House of Blues!

Randomly walked in here on a Saturday night; saw a very pregnant woman perform and work the crowd like a boss. I'd see that again.

Ask the Community - Crowbar

My 15 y/o daughter wants to come there to watch a show this Friday. Could someone please tell me what it's like there? Is this somewhere that would welcome that?

Not sure if the venue allows under 21 individuals to attend if it's for a show but I personally don't think it's a space for a 15 year old.

Insane to me this place of refugee is going away due to corporate greed, and gentrification in Ybor.

Our waitress, who was friendly and clearly trying her best, appeared to be doing everything -- taking orders, serving tables, and possibly even cooking. It wasn't her fault, but it made the entire service feel slow and chaotic. Despite the place being nearly empty, it took 1 hour and 40 minutes to get our food. That kind of delay would be hard to overlook even during a rush -- let alone a slow morning. Several menu items were already "out" which was confusing and disappointing for a small menu. It felt like they were unprepared to open for the day.

The venue seems to book a few acts a week. You can go online, purchase tickets, and pick your actual seat - they sell seats by the table. We were at Table 20 for The Verve Pipe, and it was a four-top, in the 3rd row of tables, on the side, with an excellent view of the stage. Sadly, they do NOT offer their fabulous cocktails upstairs here, even though there is a bar. If you want to drink something stellar, you will need to walk yourself back down the two flights of stairs, and get it yourself. Instead, they have instructions on each table of how to order a standard cocktail on-line; you choose your basic booze, then your basic mixer, and a cocktail server will bring it out to you and take your credit card. Efficient, but very boring. The venue is small, but the sound was good, with the exception of the two magpies behind me screaming and nattering the whole time. Why go to a concert if you're just going to talk through the entire thing? But I digress.... This is a wonderful venue to go see some surprisingly good artists, and I highly recommend a visit.

A mix of individuals, some older people (including one man who looked like a ghoul [trench coat, white hair, pocket wayxh]). Nothing wrong with this, in fact quite interesting, until we saw some soldiers (who appeared to be legit Castle security) walk past us, including one in an SS Nazi uniform. The frat men continued to multiply, and were very loud and obnoxious. In the back was some sort of BDSM spanking exhibit with a man in a furry costume doing the spanking. We stood close to this exhibit as loud "industrial noise" music played. I would akin this music to a spoon banging against a pot. There was a man who appeared to clearly be fent folding amidst the dance floor who proceeded to catch a random girl's twerk... And stared at us with beady eyes. Before going downstairs, I accidentally bumped into someone and he hissed at me, which was interesting. Okay guys, stick with me, we're getting to the best part. After all of these events, we go downstairs to the basement (or dungeon). Pleasurably, they were not playing industrial noise. Actual songs with lyrics! Yay. Early 2000s alternative. The dungeon had a bunk bed sort of set up where many different individuals seemed to be having a sensory break, other than the frat boys who were posing on top of it and flipping off of it. As we continued our observations, we noted two older gay men dressed as a cop and a prisoner. One laid down and the other began dancing right in front of him, akin to some sort of ritual. We soon after spotted a shirtless Marshmello across the room, which was quite exciting. Lots of shirtless men parading around, some with the leashes of their skinny asian girlfriends in hand. Before leaving, we finished up our people watching by observing Lisa from Genshin Impact, Sasuke & Sakura from Naruto, and Inosuke from Demon Slayer enter in highly realistic cosplays. In our state, we could not rationalize that these people were not actually from the show as the DJ conveniently decided to play anime OSTs as they entered. We also believe we spotted Shadow the Hedgehog. Not sure of this. Final note-- the people who would come in and greet each other by dancing at each other. Very interesting and something we had never seen before. It was like witnessing a different reality. To sum up The Castle experience, this is like a place a parent would have a nightmare of their child coming to. Would return!

This was our third stop of the evening and a genuinely pleasant one, helped along by Andrea, who was friendly, upbeat and made the visit feel even more relaxed. We ordered beers and their roasted hummus, which came with thin‑sliced cucumbers and carrots. When one of my friends mentioned that he's allergic to carrots (yes, really), Andrea didn't hesitate. She brought out a basket of tortilla chips so he could enjoy the hummus without worry, and the rest of us made sure the carrots stayed far from the shared plate. It was a small gesture, but it added a nice touch of hospitality. The whole place has an easygoing vibe, the kind that makes you want to linger a little longer, and its spot right on the main drag of Ybor makes it an ideal pause point on a walking tour. It's a dependable, welcoming stop that's well worth including. [Review 41 of 2026 - 2226 in Florida - 25232 overall]
