I would warn anybody who is interested in hiring Mr. Matz as their attorney for being their Family…read moreAttorney or Estate Planning. With my experience dealing with Mr. Matz, he is unprofessional and has a major attitude problem. Mr. Matz was my Dad's attorney for 4 years. In the beginning when my dad had request to change his will or needed advice, Mr. Matz was always available. Unfortunately things changed when 2 years ago my brother and sister started taking advantage of my dad. I emailed and called and left various message letting him know that my Dad wanted to speak to him to see if he could speak to my brother and sister and warn them of the consequences if they continued to take advantage of him. Mr. Matz ignored my dad and when I called and emailed him about my dad's request, he called my Dad and criticized me saying that I was the problem and even threatened to report me to the department of ageing. Another concern was when my dad wanted to make changes to his will to remove family members that were taking advantage of him, Mr. Matz refused to do it, and ignore my Dad with this request for 2 years. When we questioned him on his actions, he always responded with an attitude and unprofessional manner. He claimed that he was always busy but that's no excuse in someone's time of need. He eventually made a surprise visit to my dad and told him that he no longer was going to work with him since he felt that my dad was asking for a lot. This was ridiculous since this was not the case. Mr. Matz just did not want to do his job. No one should go through what my family went through. You can do better than this attorney.

Since I knew no other estate lawyers in the Lehigh Valley, I thought I'd give him a shot. I had an initial telephone consult with him and we scheduled an appointment for the end of the month. I arranged to have pertinent documents delivered to his office prior to our meeting. Since the meeting wasn't for a few weeks (which was not opportune however I live out of state), I reached out to him via email with several questions. I even offered to pay him for his time to answer two questions each of which only involved a one word answer. Both questions also required timely responses --not something that could wait until the end of the month. In my email I both offered to pay him for his time OR offered to send a retainer both of which are beyond reasonable and fair. I deal with a lot of attorneys. When I hadn't heard from him I called his office and spoke to his secretary asking her if she could please ask him to reply to my emails. He had just been ignoring them. Later that day I got a "dust off" email from him excoriating me for reaching out to his office prior to my appointment and basically kicking me to the curb. I replied with sincere apologies for being so brazen and asked him to reconsider. I also mentioned that one return email to me asking me to wait until our meeting would have been the proper thing to do. I would then have never fired off any more questions. I really don't know how to react to radio silence from a professional I am employing. He refused to help. Truth is, I am grieving a number of severe losses at the moment and I can barely think straight. Scolding and dumping a "client" who is in desperate need of support goes way beyond LOW in my opinion and is very unprofessional. It's like a psychiatrist scolding a client for being psychotic. Ridiculous. Done and dusted with you, Esquire. You should be ashamed of yourself and your behavior.

Josh called me back immediately and carefully listened to my issue to determined what I wanted from the outcome. He asked questions, decided what he could do as a litigating attorney but did not push me into litigation. After Josh spoke to the other party's counsel, he thought it would be best if I did not litigate but try to resolve the matter amicably. He put me in touch with his associate Ken Charette. Ken also spoke with me in detail, discussed my goals and outcomes and what the best course of action would be to settle this case without court. The two attorneys worked as a team and between them, my issue was resolved to my satisfaction without litigation. They both were accessible to me, responding same day (if not same hour) and they did not make me feel inferior because I did not know the ins and outs of the law. I really felt they cared about the results I wanted to achieve and worked hard for me to get me these results. I felt they guided me on the proper way to calmly proceed with courses of action even when I got irritable with what the other party wanted. I would highly recommend these attorneys. Don't hesitate to call this firm.

All we were looking for was a deed transfer for the house within our family! After being told about this I did some research to to find someone local (my father in-law is partially disabled and unable to travel long distances further than the grocery), and came across Dave. After calling and speaking with him it was clear he shared concerns like the other attorney's because some scum bag kids will manipulate their family into signing over their deeds and subsequently kick their parents out after leaving them homeless... ***BUT Dave was respectful- he did not have a downward and judging inflection when we spoke. We scheduled a meeting and we're able to accomplish what we had needed without any drama. He is very professional, compassionate, and genuinely looking out for the best interest of everyone. Most importantly he was thorough in making sure that there were no morally or unethical motivations driving this. I don't normally write reviews- but with the scum bags out there today increasing drastically I felt driven to leave this review to promote the good guy. There's few people I would EVER vouch for. If he can help you with what you need I would recommend him highly!

Garrett was condescending and rude towards myself and my colleague. He was extremely unprepared which was evident by the "defense" he put up for me which resulted in my conviction. Showed a lack of knowledge of the case and of programs which would result in my record being expunged. Was more detrimental than helpful to me. I would NOT recommend Garrett, I can't speak on behalf of his partners but one can only assume their near or at his low level of knowledge and morals. Fits the description of ineffective assistance of counsel to a T as it was defined in USSC case law. Very unsatisfied with him, his "strategies", and the outcome.
