I followed up respectfully, asking for clarification and legal reasoning. I received no citations, no procedural guidance, and no substantive response. Instead, Mr. Goudsouzian intervened with a written directive informing me that I was no longer permitted to contact any township official--including the police department--unless through an attorney. At the time, I did not have legal counsel due to a prior breakdown in representation, which he was aware of. His directive cited no law, offered no process, and provided no path to resolution. It was not a legal response--it was a shutdown. At no point did Mr. Goudsouzian address the central concern: that one party had been granted access to public evidence, and another was being denied the same without explanation. He made no effort to ensure legal compliance by the police or facilitate a fair, statutory process. Instead, he used his position to reinforce a decision that actively prevented transparency and accountability. This wasn't an isolated lapse--it reflects how Mr. Goudsouzian appears to wield his authority. When questioned professionally, he responded not with law or logic, but with institutional silence and restriction. Every exchange--emails, directives, denials--has been preserved and submitted to formal oversight bodies for review. If your township or borough is considering retaining this solicitor, I recommend reviewing how he responds when legitimate procedural concerns challenge municipal convenience. In my case, the result was not representation of the law--it was reinforcement of its avoidance.

During the consultation, I was advised that if I wanted to move forward in the future, I could place a $200 deposit, which would be refundable if I decided not to proceed. I paid the $200 under that agreement. For over four months, I have been requesting a refund. Each time I called or emailed, I was told the only way to get my money back was to schedule another meeting with Chris. After waiting two weeks for that meeting, it was canceled just 10 minutes before, with the excuse that the lawyer was unavailable. Later, I received a deceptive email stating I would not be refunded because Chris had already "met with me and discussed my options." That is not true -- we never agreed on any options, especially since my primary debt (student loans) could not even be included in bankruptcy. This office took $200 from me under the promise of a free consultation and a refundable deposit. That is dishonest, unprofessional, and shows a complete lack of integrity. If a lawyer is willing to mislead clients over $200, they cannot be trusted with larger matters. I do not recommend this law office.

That being said, I have now used Gross McGinley for both family law and real estate law, and had they not handled my two cases the way that they did, I wouldn't bother submitting a review. The first time I went in, I had the same general preconceptions as anyone else: 1) This is going to drain my bank account, 2) They'll charge me for every email, phone call, breath I take, etc., 3) They're not going to listen to what my end goal is, 4) They're never going to return my calls, 5) This is going to drag on forever. Kellie Rahl-Heffner handled my divorce and child custody nightmare. I knew in the first five minutes of meeting her that she was not only genuinely focused on what I was saying to her, but that she had a good soul and was going to do everything she could to make a terrible experience bearable. And that's exactly what she did. She showed up on time, she always got back to me, she knew my case, was always clear about my options and the costs (so I never had to secretly go insane with worry that a random bill would turn up and ruin my life,) and most importantly, explained everything to me about what to expect so that I could mentally prepare for whole process. Later on, I had to deal with what I thought would be a simple real estate issue, and after a bout of trying to do it myself, realized there was no way it would be accepted. Seriously, this County has the most stringent documentation and formatting requirements that by the time you get through rolling your eyes at all the margin/font-size baloney, you realize that you've never heard of half the nouns they're demanding you address. I hadn't talked to her in a while and this was a completely different type of problem, but within a couple of hours of reaching out to her, I was working with Sarah Murray, who is also with Gross McGinley. Again, surreal experience - a stark contrast to what you'd expect. Sarah listened, knew my case, was incredibly thorough, didn't mind dumb questions (I had puh-lenty,) and I never had to prod her or bug her. She was knowledgeable, wasted no time, and did what she said she was going to do. It was always clear what was expected of me and when it was expected. I wasn't intimidated at any point, and I walked away feeling like I'd done the smart thing - the right thing - by going with both of them. If these two attorneys are an accurate representation of what Gross McGinley's about, I feel great relief knowing that no matter what gets thrown my way, I have a place to go where someone will have my back.

Instead, one of the first questions I was asked was, "What are you here for?" As I attempted to explain my situation, Joseph repeatedly yawned and checked his phone during the consultation. I found this behavior dismissive and unprofessional. When someone is paying for your time and seeking legal guidance on an important matter, they deserve your full attention and respect. The consultation lasted less than 20 minutes, and I was told I did not appear to have a viable legal case. I understand that not every situation warrants legal action, and I would have accepted that conclusion if I felt my concerns had been carefully considered. Instead, I left with the impression that the consultation was rushed and that very little effort had been made to understand my circumstances.
