I would highly recommend Dewitt. I sold a property for the first time and had a lot of questions. Dewitt answered quickly, helped put things into perspective with his experience and knowledge when funny hiccups happened, and was very thorough. He made great revisions to the contract and addressed my line-by-line questions to documents. I would definitely work with Dewitt again. Efficient, nice, professional and knowledgeable. read more

We were first-time home buyers moving from Manhattan to Jersey City. We're so pleased to have found Dewitt and Liu Law Office. Dewitt is a consummate professional who responds to communications with lightning speed. Another pro of his communication is that he always remembers to "reply-all." He has no problem explaining everything (we had lots of questions), and when we finally met in person, he was incredibly personable. A+ here, you can definitely trust this office! read more

We were so lucky to have Dewitt as out attorney in the process of NJ house transaction recently. Dewitt was SUPER responsive whenever we needed him, and we always spoke or had direct contact with Dewitt, not some paralegal who was unaware of the issues at hand. Dewitt was so patient and answered all questions as we went along. Dewitt is TRULY professional, quickly defined key points and also paid detailed attention in the process. He provided the excellent service to protect his clients in the very effective way. I really couldn't say enough about what he has done for us. He is just a great Attorney, who I'd like to highly recommend to everyone. read more

We bought our first house in North Jersey through Dewitt. When I try to explain how much I loved working with Dewitt, words honestly fail me. It was the greatest experience I've ever hiring any professional. He turned everything around so quickly! He was so responsive! He really helped me understand complex issues. He helped me craft not just the legal language, but also the negotiating strategy. He had great insight at every phase of the project. Dewitt was the only good part of buying a house. I just love the guy. read more

We worked with Dewitt on real estate closings in Feb 2016. He is knowledgable, nice to his clients and pays attentions to details. We had problems with our mortgage lender didn't approve our loan at last minute and we were at risk losing our deposit with the seller. Dewitt was trying everything he could to negotiate with the seller to buy more time for us and helped us figure out other solutions. With his help we were glad that we could close it eventually. Even after closing, he was following through to make sure that our tax payment is on time and kept collecting other documents and sent to us. Overall, Dewitt is a great attorney for real estate closings and I highly recommend his office. read more

I work with a lot of lawyers in my field and Dewitt is, by far, the most attentive and contributable and helpful lawyer I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I was buying a condo in Jersey City and it was a nightmare transaction. There were so many hurdles the entire process took 7 months to close. Throughout the ordeal, Dewitt has helped my family avoid the mistakes and traps a first time homebuyer would fall for. Dewitt went above and beyond in terms of what he was contracted to do. I honestly have never met someone more devoted to the protection of his clients. Dewitt, you are an awesome attorney and I would recommend you to every single person buying a home. read more

Dewitt is a great attorney for real estate closings and I highly recommend his office. He pays attention to your means and is very responsive, this is a difficult trait to find in many law offices. We found Dewitt Liu through Avvo, and decided to go with him since the Avvo reviews stated the he was very responsive. He helped us out close in Hoboken. We went through a bunch of roadblocks and issues, and Dewitt was SUPER responsive (there was some points where I would call him every hour and he would respond within minutes to my questions and requests) Even when we were overseas, he was responsive to emails and acted quickly in the crazy twitch market that is Hoboken. We always spoke or had direct contact with Dewitt, and not some paralegal who was unaware of the issues at hand. Since this was our first real estate purchase, we had many questions and required reassurances as we proceeded. Dewitt was patient and answered all questions as we went along. read more

It was an absolute pleasure working with Dewitt! Thanks to him we were able to get seller credit to cover more than half our closing costs AND walked away with a check for a substantial amount at closing! Dewitt was always very responsive and even returned my husband's call on a Sunday night! I highly recommend him! read more

It took me longer than expected to close out on a condo, having Dewitt worked on this case gave me the assurance that I was getting the best advice in every step of the process. Dewitt was responsive and would get back to me with any of my questions promptly. I had contacted three attorneys before deciding on Dewitt, it's his professionalism and the way he interacted that has earned my business. His fees are reasonable as well. Glad to have worked with him. read more

I'd recommend Dewitt to any one buying real estate, especially in the waterfront area in north NJ (Jersey City, Hoboken, Weehawken, West New York, Edgewater etc. ) He is very good in managing all transaction details in this area with its waterfront condo buildings and complexities that often come with them (ongoing lawsuits on buildings, for example). We worked with Dewitt when buying our home in late 2014/early 2015 and that is the best decision we made in the process. It is our first time buying a home so we don't know many things. But with Dewitt's help we went through the whole process rather smoothly, despite many unexpected things from the seller side. Dewitt is very professional, detail oriented, always on top of everything. He replied to our emails quickly and gave us lots of good suggestions( to other first time home buyers: yes you need good ideas during this process!). We are so impressed with Dewitt's work that when two friends were buying in the area later, we recommended Dewitt and they both went with him, and are very happy with him. read more
