His incompetence and lack of follow-through have cost me endless time, stress, and money. He repeatedly claimed that essential documents--like my husband's retirement and pension statements--were "attached" in emails, but they never were. Instead, he sent irrelevant, generic pamphlets that had nothing to do with what was actually requested. This created years of unnecessary back-and-forth and stalled the entire legal process. What makes it worse is his complete disregard for communication. Emails from my lawyer often go ignored, and when he does respond, it's vague, misleading, or simply incorrect. I've been forced to keep paying my lawyer to chase after him for things he should have provided years ago. No client should ever have to beg for basic information or deal with such dishonesty from an attorney. His negligence has prevented my case from moving forward in a timely manner, and the burden he has created is beyond frustrating. I would not recommend Sam Feldman to anyone. He is unprofessional, careless, and has shown zero respect for the legal process or the people relying on him to do his job

Josh called me back immediately and carefully listened to my issue to determined what I wanted from the outcome. He asked questions, decided what he could do as a litigating attorney but did not push me into litigation. After Josh spoke to the other party's counsel, he thought it would be best if I did not litigate but try to resolve the matter amicably. He put me in touch with his associate Ken Charette. Ken also spoke with me in detail, discussed my goals and outcomes and what the best course of action would be to settle this case without court. The two attorneys worked as a team and between them, my issue was resolved to my satisfaction without litigation. They both were accessible to me, responding same day (if not same hour) and they did not make me feel inferior because I did not know the ins and outs of the law. I really felt they cared about the results I wanted to achieve and worked hard for me to get me these results. I felt they guided me on the proper way to calmly proceed with courses of action even when I got irritable with what the other party wanted. I would highly recommend these attorneys. Don't hesitate to call this firm.

In all honesty, I don't even know who hired the first attorney? He did write a Will, which was not used, and he was not at all interested in processing it, which is what should have been done. Too late now. The first attorney told me during my in person consult, he was going to have Mr Mazt process the more than $100k in stocks to my niece, before he even talked to the guy. I don't see how this is not a conflict of interest. We had no idea she was alive let alone even entitled to any resources. Mr Matz contacted me a few months later and said I needed to sign off on a payment exceeding $120k, which I agreed to aprox June 2026, also suggesting I would be entitled to more money. This also freed up money for Mr. Matz, to take who knows how much. He refused to say. I didn't get any additional money as he intimated. My understanding is the first attorney took about $22k, and almost all of the estate was already complete, except cashing out one stock, which would pay my brother's daughter. I signed the document. The niece was paid, I believe in June, I can only assume Mr Matz took his share, and that's where this ended. A week or two ago I emailed Mr Matz requesting an accounting for all assets, what happened to the $30k withheld Nov 2025, and put in escrow to pay inheritance tax on the house, who hired him, how much was he being paid, and how much did the other beneficiaries and executor get paid. He refused to answer. My sister is the executor, and she won't answer any questions either. I was informed of very little, including the fact she had the short certificate back in late 2024, to sell the house. I had no idea. She then listed the house with her son-in-law realtor, which my mother told us she absolutely did not want. The house was listed and sold without my permission. I was actually the executor of the most recent Will, which conveniently was not found until after an earlier version of the Will, was used. I already had a cash buyer December 2024, and had no idea my sister was withholding the short certificate. Mr Matz refused to answer any of the questions and told me I would receive a complete accounting of the estate, sometime in 2027, after the taxes were filed, or I could hire my own attorney. This is totally unacceptable! I am entitled to a complete accounting of the estate. I did not realize we had a adversarial relationship here. Had I any idea, I would not have signed off on the stocks until a complete accounting of the estate was provided to me. This is not the kind of attorney I would suggest using.. With my experience dealing with Mr. Matz, he is unprofessional and has a major attitude problem. Mr. Matz was my Dad's attorney for 4 years. In the beginning when my dad had request to change his will or needed advice, Mr. Matz was always available. Unfortunately things changed when 2 years ago my brother and sister started taking advantage of my dad. I emailed and called and left various message letting him know that my Dad wanted to speak to him to see if he could speak to my brother and sister and warn them of the consequences if they continued to take advantage of him. Mr. Matz ignored my dad and when I called and emailed him about my dad's request, he called my Dad and criticized me saying that I was the problem and even threatened to report me to the department of ageing. Another concern was when my dad wanted to make changes to his will to remove family members that were taking advantage of him, Mr. Matz refused to do it, and ignore my Dad with this request for 2 years. When we questioned him on his actions, he always responded with an attitude and unprofessional manner. He claimed that he was always busy but that's no excuse in someone's time of need. He eventually made a surprise visit to my dad and told him that he no longer was going to work with him since he felt that my dad was asking for a lot. This was ridiculous since this was not the case. Mr. Matz just did not want to do his job. No one should go through what my family went through. You can do better than this attorney.

I'm an average joe who doesn't…read morehave a lot and who is already miffed that I'm being made to seek legal help in the first place. But with the current laws, regulations, restrictions, and ungodly amounts of red tape, do-it-yourself representation is getting to be a thing of the past, especially if you really need for it to be done right. That being said, I have now used Gross McGinley for both family law and real estate law, and had they not handled my two cases the way that they did, I wouldn't bother submitting a review. The first time I went in, I had the same general preconceptions as anyone else: 1) This is going to drain my bank account, 2) They'll charge me for every email, phone call, breath I take, etc., 3) They're not going to listen to what my end goal is, 4) They're never going to return my calls, 5) This is going to drag on forever. Kellie Rahl-Heffner handled my divorce and child custody nightmare. I knew in the first five minutes of meeting her that she was not only genuinely focused on what I was saying to her, but that she had a good soul and was going to do everything she could to make a terrible experience bearable. And that's exactly what she did. She showed up on time, she always got back to me, she knew my case, was always clear about my options and the costs (so I never had to secretly go insane with worry that a random bill would turn up and ruin my life,) and most importantly, explained everything to me about what to expect so that I could mentally prepare for whole process. Later on, I had to deal with what I thought would be a simple real estate issue, and after a bout of trying to do it myself, realized there was no way it would be accepted. Seriously, this County has the most stringent documentation and formatting requirements that by the time you get through rolling your eyes at all the margin/font-size baloney, you realize that you've never heard of half the nouns they're demanding you address. It was around that time I found myself wondering if Kellie could give me a name to start with. I hadn't talked to her in a while and this was a completely different type of problem, but within a couple of hours of reaching out to her, I was working with Sarah Murray, who is also with Gross McGinley. Again, surreal experience - a stark contrast to what you'd expect. Sarah listened, knew my case, was incredibly thorough, didn't mind dumb questions (I had puh-lenty,) and I never had to prod her or bug her. She was knowledgeable, wasted no time, and did what she said she was going to do. It was always clear what was expected of me and when it was expected. I wasn't intimidated at any point, and I walked away feeling like I'd done the smart thing - the right thing - by going with both of them. If these two attorneys are an accurate representation of what Gross McGinley's about, I feel great relief knowing that no matter what gets thrown my way, I have a place to go where someone will have my back.
