If you're used to cramped platforms and packed escalators, Tufnell Park is a breath of fresh air: very small and very quiet (at least whenever I've been there), with some very nice Victorian architecture and fairly clean for a Tube station. Downsides are that it has lift-only access to platforms.

This is a cute and somewhat modern (in part) station which gets a little busy around commuting time, and is in the 2/3 zone not far from Central London and not far from the football stadiums. Some of my many friends in North London live near here which is why I occasionally get on and off here. But if the arch is heavy, how much does the arch weigh?

We specifically came here because we purchased a Eurostar train ticket to Paris. From arriving, to checking in, going through customs, it was very organized and people paid attention. It wasn't chaos as it tends to get in the US. The whole process to getting on and off the train was a piece of cake-definitely not stressful at all. If you are trying to get to Paris, Amsterdam, or any outer cities near London, this is the place to be when needing to take a train. I highly recommend Eurostar since it is a high speed train and will get you to your next destination fairly quick. If you are not planning to leave the city, I still recommend checking it out since it is a beauty and I heard, Harry Potter was filmed here.

But I suspect that I have given my reason for that as well. It looks like the Overground has basically repurposed old tracks and turned them into a suburban railway. It isn't a terminus station, but it is still quite large, no doubt because it does happen to have national rail services stopping here, though they don't always do that because, well, some of them are express as you probably should be catching them at the termini. Finsbury Park is a posh and busy part of North London, not far from Camden Town, and Islington and Arsenal Football Club and all the good stuff. It's very busy and it has overground services, and it's generally a good place, although I've been delayed here a couple of times. It's still one of the better stations around in my opinion. But not enough for five stars.
