Elderly parents, rest of the family and Eric our tour guy!

My elderly parents had a bucket list request to see Yosemite. We booked and got Eric as our tour guy and Omgee it was totally an amazing experience. I could of drove my parents and we would of seen a waterfall but booking this tour the best decision. He made it not only easy for my parents to get to destination points but the patience with parents (meant a lot) and knowledge of Yosemite history gave us much more appreciation Yosemite and it's natural beauty. Thank you Eric you were the best your guy!!! So glad we got you! Now you are part of our family photos and memories

One of the many beautiful stops on our tour with Juli

Had a blast with Juli in Yosemite today. We were picked up at our hotel and whisked away to a day full of sights, great photo ops, easy but rewarding hikes, great conversation, snacks, beverages and lunch with a cute souvenir bag. Highly recommend if you want a quick overview of the park with no stress.

This was the car. They put 8 people in this car!

We took this tour because it was rainy and snowy and I didn't want to drive to the mountain since I had never been there before. We saw all the sites despite the rain. Our guide was very knowledgeable and super nice. He walked with us in the wet weather to make sure we saw everything. I had booked a semi private tour. By paying more I had hoped for a comfortable experience and expected a van or a bus. They packed us in a larger suv with people we didn't know. The car was full. No room to move. My legs were hurting it was so tight. You can't see much from the middle seats which was unfortunate. And of course we are still in a pandemic so this was not safe! The food was okay. It was basically deli sandwiches that they had purchased in town and you eat in the lobby of the hotel. An okay experience not but not worth the money we paid give the size of the vehicle and number of guests.

I did a bunch of googling of different options we could do and decided Yosemite Flight Tours was the way to go because of what they toured and the price was the best!! I emailed them, hoping we could get a last minute flight. Mark emailed me back promptly and said we could fit in a flight early morning a few days later after a storm, which was perfect for us so we did it! The process for payment with Randy at the office and everything was so so easy and simple!! And quick! No stupid gimmicks to get more money it of us, no hidden fees, no crazy paperwork or anything. I would give them a 5-star rating just on that alone but if I could give them more than 5, I would for the tour itself!! Mark was SO nice and SO knowledgeable about everything there could possible know about Yosemite and the surrounding areas... the glaciers, the fires, the landscapes, hiking, climbing, etc... he knows it all. You could tell he was passionate about what he did. It made me smile listening to him just talk nonstop about everything knowing it wasn't just a "job", it is what he loves and wants to do. He was just so awesome. Not only was Mark awesome at the tour aspect of things but also flying the plane itself. He was such a great pilot. Such a smooth takeoff, turns, landing everything. It was just all sooo perfect. Thank you Mark for everything you do. You all were amazing and I will always and forever tell everything I possibly can about you guys! Thank you!

I immediately was drawn to it because you can fly over Yosemite Valley and get a vantage point that would otherwise be impossible. We ended up going on Saturday morning for my wife's 35th birthday. Krystal and Jason were awesome and friendly. Krystal met us in the parking lot and walked us into the office, where we then met Jason. We chit-chatted for a few minutes then went up in the air. Both were very professional, and you could tell there was a lot of love and care in the business and the area. The flight itself was unbelievable. Jason is an excellent pilot. The takeoff, flight and landing were all very smooth. We flew over to Cherry Lake, then over to Half Dome. Jason circled Half Dome for us a couple times, then flew over Yosemite Valley back to Pine Mountain Lake. The trip was just about an hour in total. It was a truly incredible experience. It had just snowed a few days prior as well. So all the mountains were dusted with snow. Jason & Krystal were pros and very hospitable, and the trip was just simply amazing. This is definitely something I will do again, and try to recruit more people to join in on. Can't recommend this enough!

I found Courtwood by searching online, and I'm SO happy I found Chris @Courtwood! I was a little bummed I didn't find any available tours on their website, so I reached out via email. Chris promptly sent a reply with pricing, details, and that it would be quite packed in Murphy's, so she would take us on a private tour around the outlying wineries (good call, none of the wineries were too packed and we had a lot of "private time" at each vineyard). Chris picked us up right out front of our hotel right on time, had a smile and made sure she knew who the bride was and made her feel extra special! We stopped at Twisted Oak, Chatom, Ironstone (for lunch), and Aryael Vieux (TOP FAVE!! I'll be reviewing these wineries soon). Chris took care of everything, all we had to worry about was sipping wine and having a wonderful and relaxing time. Hanging out with Chris was like having another friend just along for the ride! We picked up a loaf of fresh bread at one of the wineries, and mentioned that we wanted to get some butter later on, Chris told us she needed to pick something up too and that we could come with her! I can't say enough good things, they even include a slideshow of your trip (chris takes photos throughout the tour) and email it to you promptly after your tour. If you are in the area, I would definitely come here and take a tour with Courtwood,

We stayed in Angel's Camp in a friend's cabin, and being unfamiliar with the area, I completely put my trust in Chris to arrange everything for us. She exceeded my expectations (and made me look like I had done a lot more than I had!) She asked a lot of questions about our group and the types of wines we liked so that she could tailor the tour very specifically. Preferring the boutique wineries to the large scale Ironstone types, Chris took us to six different wineries that ranged significantly from Twisted Oak, to Prospect 772, to Aerial Vieux. As a large group Chris coordinated with Kristen, who also leads tours in the area to caravan us around in their large air conditioned vans. It seemed like she had personal relationships with the various winemakers and their staff and was able to get us some kind of behind the scenes cave tour/vineyard tour/private tasting room access everywhere we went. I have to say the best thing about the day was the lunch. Chris set it up on a long table outside Chatom winery and it literally looked like something straight out of Sunset Magazine. She brought local cheese and interesting dips, and the salads were presented in ball mason jars. It really was so well done, I think Chris might have a future in putting on lunches in addition to taking tours! After the tasting, Chris and Kristen took us into Murphy's, waited for us while we had dinner, and then took us all the way back to Angels Camp. I highly recommend Courtwood for small and large tours alike. Chris was just wonderful!

I believe it was roughly 45 minutes to get up there to begin to see these trees and the road was very long and windy and at one point I was for sure we were going the wrong way even though there's only one way I was for sure. But after that 45 minute drive up, you begin to see these remarkably tall, beautiful sequoia trees as far as they I can see and each one of them more breathtaking than ever we went during winter so I definitely encourage you to check and make sure that you don't need to bring snow chains because to travel to a lot of the areas in winter and other seasons, you might just need snow chains to make it My family had a great time we spent just a few hours walking around and enjoying the beautiful view the fresh Mountain air and getting a chance to interact with other people traveling from all over the country who had come to visit as well. This is also something you must add to your bucket list because even though we only got to see 1/10 of this park, we already have it put back on our bucket list to go again because there's so much more to see here truly breathtaking views and just a relaxing experience all the way around.

No matter what level of engagement or activity you're looking for, these parks offer beautiful and thrilling scenic drives for the car warriors, lovely short and accessible strolls for those not looking for a hike, and serious high country hiking options for those looking for a challenge or adventure of a lifetime. There are countless hikes to high country destinations, including Mt. Whitney and the Pacific Crest Trail. The largest living tree, General Sherman, resides here. As does a canyon deeper than the Grand Canyon. There are two caverns that are accessible to the public (tickets required for both Boyden and Crystal Caverns). So much to see and do! Please note that if you get motion-sick, some of the roads have sheer drop offs, and hairpin turns. Take it slow and don't forget to use turn outs if you get a line of cars behind you...you will make a lot of friends instantly! Wildlife sightings are common. I've seen black bears, yellow bellied marmots, a fisher, squirrels, deer, cottontails, and countless birds and lizards. I know there are bobcats and mountain lions, but haven't had the honor of seeing either--YET. There's snow in the winter that causes road and facility closures in parts of the park. This area is also prone to severe wildfires (manmade and lightning)....so I prefer to visit in the spring or fall. I've visited in every season, and find that each has its own splendor. I hope you have a chance to visit these parks and that your visit brings you a few moments of wonder, and I have experienced with every visit.
