I wish that my words can adequately express my gratitude for having the most enjoyable tour of Yosemite. It was a very emotional experience for me. I am still mourning the loss of my parents from the pandemic. Seeing the sites and beauty of Yosemite had me in tears. Our tour guide, Daniel, was so informative and most of all - inspiring. He captivated me with his Yosemite stories and his war stories. My two kids received a year's worth of history education in the span of less than a day. Daniel gave me and my family new wonderful memories in this new chapter of our lives. Most especially, I seriously respect the owner. My son left his iphone in the tour van and I completely flipped out. The owner luckily was able to arrange a driver to drive from Yosemite to our hotel in Fresno to return the phone to us to save our vacation. As a business owner myself, I don't know if I would have done the same. This act of kindness speaks volumes about the business and how dedicated the owner is at giving visitors truly memorable experiences. We will be back!

We are a family of 4 and couldn't get Vehicle entrance tickets to Yosemite. So I talked my husband into doing a tour to get acquainted with the park. We decided it would be great to do the open top Jeep tour. I called to reserve our tour just the day before and was updated by the company on our pickup time. The Jeep was clean and fit us comfortably. Ram greeted us at the designated pickup spot, wore a mask, checked to make sure we each had a mask and instructed us to wear it a all times inside the vehicle and took our temperature prior to allowing us to enter the vehicle, we appreciated his thoroughness. Once loaded we were off to Yosemite. We had fantastic conversations with Ram and his knowledge of the park and photo ops was fantastic. He let us set the pace and engaged with the kids, even stopping at locations he felt the kids would enjoy giving us ample opportunities to enjoy the surroundings. Pricey yes but having someone knowledgable show your around instead of trying to race from point to point and missing the beautiful scenery in between was worth it. We really enjoyed our day with Ram and the packed lunch that was included was excellent also. Thank you!!!

Elderly parents, rest of the family and Eric our tour guy!

My elderly parents had a bucket list request to see Yosemite. We booked and got Eric as our tour guy and Omgee it was totally an amazing experience. I could of drove my parents and we would of seen a waterfall but booking this tour the best decision. He made it not only easy for my parents to get to destination points but the patience with parents (meant a lot) and knowledge of Yosemite history gave us much more appreciation Yosemite and it's natural beauty. Thank you Eric you were the best your guy!!! So glad we got you! Now you are part of our family photos and memories

One of the many beautiful stops on our tour with Juli

Had a blast with Juli in Yosemite today. We were picked up at our hotel and whisked away to a day full of sights, great photo ops, easy but rewarding hikes, great conversation, snacks, beverages and lunch with a cute souvenir bag. Highly recommend if you want a quick overview of the park with no stress.

This was the car. They put 8 people in this car!

We took this tour because it was rainy and snowy and I didn't want to drive to the mountain since I had never been there before. We saw all the sites despite the rain. Our guide was very knowledgeable and super nice. He walked with us in the wet weather to make sure we saw everything. I had booked a semi private tour. By paying more I had hoped for a comfortable experience and expected a van or a bus. They packed us in a larger suv with people we didn't know. The car was full. No room to move. My legs were hurting it was so tight. You can't see much from the middle seats which was unfortunate. And of course we are still in a pandemic so this was not safe! The food was okay. It was basically deli sandwiches that they had purchased in town and you eat in the lobby of the hotel. An okay experience not but not worth the money we paid give the size of the vehicle and number of guests.

I did a bunch of googling of different options we could do and decided Yosemite Flight Tours was the way to go because of what they toured and the price was the best!! I emailed them, hoping we could get a last minute flight. Mark emailed me back promptly and said we could fit in a flight early morning a few days later after a storm, which was perfect for us so we did it! The process for payment with Randy at the office and everything was so so easy and simple!! And quick! No stupid gimmicks to get more money it of us, no hidden fees, no crazy paperwork or anything. I would give them a 5-star rating just on that alone but if I could give them more than 5, I would for the tour itself!! Mark was SO nice and SO knowledgeable about everything there could possible know about Yosemite and the surrounding areas... the glaciers, the fires, the landscapes, hiking, climbing, etc... he knows it all. You could tell he was passionate about what he did. It made me smile listening to him just talk nonstop about everything knowing it wasn't just a "job", it is what he loves and wants to do. He was just so awesome. Not only was Mark awesome at the tour aspect of things but also flying the plane itself. He was such a great pilot. Such a smooth takeoff, turns, landing everything. It was just all sooo perfect. Thank you Mark for everything you do. You all were amazing and I will always and forever tell everything I possibly can about you guys! Thank you!

I found Courtwood by searching online, and I'm SO happy I found Chris @Courtwood! I was a little bummed I didn't find any available tours on their website, so I reached out via email. Chris promptly sent a reply with pricing, details, and that it would be quite packed in Murphy's, so she would take us on a private tour around the outlying wineries (good call, none of the wineries were too packed and we had a lot of "private time" at each vineyard). Chris picked us up right out front of our hotel right on time, had a smile and made sure she knew who the bride was and made her feel extra special! We stopped at Twisted Oak, Chatom, Ironstone (for lunch), and Aryael Vieux (TOP FAVE!! I'll be reviewing these wineries soon). Chris took care of everything, all we had to worry about was sipping wine and having a wonderful and relaxing time. Hanging out with Chris was like having another friend just along for the ride! We picked up a loaf of fresh bread at one of the wineries, and mentioned that we wanted to get some butter later on, Chris told us she needed to pick something up too and that we could come with her! I can't say enough good things, they even include a slideshow of your trip (chris takes photos throughout the tour) and email it to you promptly after your tour. If you are in the area, I would definitely come here and take a tour with Courtwood,

We stayed in Angel's Camp in a friend's cabin, and being unfamiliar with the area, I completely put my trust in Chris to arrange everything for us. She exceeded my expectations (and made me look like I had done a lot more than I had!) She asked a lot of questions about our group and the types of wines we liked so that she could tailor the tour very specifically. Preferring the boutique wineries to the large scale Ironstone types, Chris took us to six different wineries that ranged significantly from Twisted Oak, to Prospect 772, to Aerial Vieux. As a large group Chris coordinated with Kristen, who also leads tours in the area to caravan us around in their large air conditioned vans. It seemed like she had personal relationships with the various winemakers and their staff and was able to get us some kind of behind the scenes cave tour/vineyard tour/private tasting room access everywhere we went. I have to say the best thing about the day was the lunch. Chris set it up on a long table outside Chatom winery and it literally looked like something straight out of Sunset Magazine. She brought local cheese and interesting dips, and the salads were presented in ball mason jars. It really was so well done, I think Chris might have a future in putting on lunches in addition to taking tours! After the tasting, Chris and Kristen took us into Murphy's, waited for us while we had dinner, and then took us all the way back to Angels Camp. I highly recommend Courtwood for small and large tours alike. Chris was just wonderful!

We drove around, visited Crystal Cave (advanced tickets required), The General Sherman Tree, Stargazing Night Talk at the Lodge, as well as the general store. We kicked things off with a cider flight--our favorites were Early Harvest and Graveyard. Early Harvest was simple, crisp, and just sweet enough, while Graveyard reminded me of a Scottish smoky cider aged in whiskey barrels. I do wish there were a few more sweet options overall and possibly a current up to date list of what's on tap somewhere online, but everything was well-crafted and flavorful! To cool off, we grabbed a cider slushy (highly recommend!) and wandered the property. We visited the goats, strolled through the apple trees, and made friends with their big fluffy Pyrenees who was living his best life napping in the shade. I picked up a bottle of Early Harvest and a t-shirt to bring back to DFW. It was the perfect stop--relaxed, local, and a great way to start the afternoon before heading into Yosemite. After our tasting, we walked through some of the apple trees, visited the cutest goats, and made friends with their big, lazy Pyrenees dog who was living his best life soaking up attention. SERVICE: Our guide, Jarret from Discover Yosemite was passionate, friendly, and knowledgeable about every nook and cranny. ORGANIZED AND INFORMATIVE: The tour was well organized and visually appealing even though several of the passes were closed. TIP: silence your phones and texts, Ready your camera. 360' visuals require your attention. ( You will thank us later.) IS IT STRENUOUS? It can be, depending on your health. In my case, I've been dealing with some medical issues but Jarret made sure to identify places where I could sit out the more physically demanding walks and hikes while taking in incredible views from comfortable benches carved from hundreds of year old logs. Jarret found unique ways to cater to all levels of interest and physical ability. NOTE: if two of the roads were open, you would expect significant walking on flat and uneven surfaces. This is a special way to fully engage and immerse in nature. THE FOOD: The sandwich provided in the included picnic lunch did not meet the standards of the your. Ample snacks and bottled beverages and water were available throughout the adventure. TIP:PACK SOME PROVISIONS OR EAT A HEARTY BREAKFAST. SHOPPING: Several stops to do tourist shopping ( We found some luscious sweets and surprised Jarrett with hand dipped chocolate- He seemed to appreciate it,) ADVICE; leave young children in the care of others so you can focus on the serenity of the environment and take in the majesty of 150-3,000 year old trees and million year landscapes.
