This was our first visit to Yosemite and we needed an experienced guided tour to give us an overview of the park so we could do some exploring later on our own. We booked a tour with Crossroads through Viator and it was a great choice. Our guide Mike was perfect. Low key, patience of a saint( people drive like yahoos even in Yosemite) knowledgeable with lots of history and current news of the park. Mike made sure to show us where the trailheads were for hikes we were thinking of taking at a later date. Our family of 6 took up most of the van and we were lucky to have another couple who were wonderful,to share the experience with us. You will get an early start with this tour but it is well worth it. We saw EVERYTHING! Thank goodness for Mike, he really was the perfect guide for us. I bobbled the booking and they were still happy to accommodate us. Do them a favor and contact them 72 hours in advance of your tour date-even if it is the weekendWe got a nice bagged lunch from Bee's Bakery and Cafe and good quality T-Shirts with the tour. We were tired but very happy that we booked a tour with Crossroads and Mike was our guide by the time we were dropped off at our car in the late afternoon. Tour 1/15/23 Ramji went out of his way to book a very last minute tour for us. We were a party of 6 adults and 1 child. The weather was unpredictable the day of our tour so I felt more comfortable going in with a guide that could drive in snowy conditions. Laura was our guide. She was very knowledgeable and catered the tour around what we wanted which was sightseeing but also lots of snow play for our 6 year old. She engaged with our son many times during the car ride to keep him interested in the tour. She also offered to take pictures of us. She was very comfortable driving the van and we didn't feel unsafe at anytime. We got to see more than we thought we would see. She made stops along the way when we needed bathroom breaks. Lunch was good - sandwich, cookie, chips, and water. We were missing 1 sandwich. I would check at pick up to ensure all lunches are there. We would use this company again. I wish that my words can adequately express my gratitude for having the most enjoyable tour of Yosemite. It was a very emotional experience for me. I am still mourning the loss of my parents from the pandemic. Seeing the sites and beauty of Yosemite had me in tears. Our tour guide, Daniel, was so informative and most of all - inspiring. He captivated me with his Yosemite stories and his war stories. My two kids received a year's worth of history education in the span of less than a day. Daniel gave me and my family new wonderful memories in this new chapter of our lives. Most especially, I seriously respect the owner. My son left his iphone in the tour van and I completely flipped out. The owner luckily was able to arrange a driver to drive from Yosemite to our hotel in Fresno to return the phone to us to save our vacation. As a business owner myself, I don't know if I would have done the same. We are a family of 4 and couldn't get Vehicle entrance tickets to Yosemite. So I talked my husband into doing a tour to get acquainted with the park. We decided it would be great to do the open top Jeep tour. I called to reserve our tour just the day before and was updated by the company on our pickup time. The Jeep was clean and fit us comfortably. Ram greeted us at the designated pickup spot, wore a mask, checked to make sure we each had a mask and instructed us to wear it a all times inside the vehicle and took our temperature prior to allowing us to enter the vehicle, we appreciated his thoroughness. Once loaded we were off to Yosemite. We had fantastic conversations with Ram and his knowledge of the park and photo ops was fantastic. He let us set the pace and engaged with the kids, even stopping at locations he felt the kids would enjoy giving us ample opportunities to enjoy the surroundings. Pricey yes but having someone knowledgable show your around instead of trying to race from point to point and missing the beautiful scenery in between was worth it. Never even went on our tour. We were to go on the tour 10/2/23; on 9/27 I received an email that my tour was canceled with no explanation. I received several proceeding emails telling me print out my tickets- even an email on 9/27 before I got the cancelation email. I contracted with Crossroads Tours for a transfer from my hotel to the Fresno airport. My pick up time was 7:45AM. At 7:55, I called and I was informed that the driver was on his way and would be there momentarily. Several calls were made to Crossroads and each time they said the driver would be there momentarily. The driver was 35 minutes late and drove like a mad man. Not only did I nearly miss my flight, but I had to contend with seriously poor driving because this company did not keep their word. I cannot state strongly enough to everyone to not use this company. They are UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE and ARROGANT. read more

We took this tour because it was rainy and snowy and I didn't want to drive to the mountain since I had never been there before. We saw all the sites despite the rain. Our guide was very knowledgeable and super nice. He walked with us in the wet weather to make sure we saw everything. I had booked a semi private tour. By paying more I had hoped for a comfortable experience and expected a van or a bus. They packed us in a larger suv with people we didn't know. The car was full. No room to move. My legs were hurting it was so tight. You can't see much from the middle seats which was unfortunate. And of course we are still in a pandemic so this was not safe! The food was okay. It was basically deli sandwiches that they had purchased in town and you eat in the lobby of the hotel. An okay experience not but not worth the money we paid give the size of the vehicle and number of guests. read more

I don't even know where to start with the unprofessionalism and lack of communication. My husband and I are in California for our honeymoon and decided we wanted to take a day tour in Yosemite. This company was a headache from the get go. We called and talked to Ramji the day we booked and he confirmed our departure location for our 8AM departure the next day, though gave us the incorrect name of the hotel/meeting point. The website lists several departure locations and does not specify where they pick-up from. Our cell phone service hasn't been great, since we are close to the park and from out of town. When we woke up the next morning to head out, we had an email indicating that our tour wasn't running and they were putting us on another tour, one leaves one hour earlier. We were staying about an hour from the pickup location and couldn't possibly have made it on time. The email stated, "please call if you would like to change to a private tour or cancel the tour". Because of the short notice, I called to cancel. I spoke to Ramji again, who provided no solution. He said "we gave you enough notice" and indicated that we were made aware of the early departure time. He refused to cancel, DESPITE the fact that it wasn't even the same tour. Ramji was very unprofessional in the way he spoke to me and hung up on me. Luckily, we booked through Viator, who was able to refund us and find us a new tour with a different company. My advice: steer clear of this tour company if you can, because they will change your plans without notification. If you do have to book with them, make sure it is through a third party company who can assist you when this happens again. read more

After numerous calls and texts they showed up 35 minutes late and the passenger barely made the flight. After contacting them to get a partial refund, they blocked me. We are a family of 4. Our first time visiting Yosemite and a new timer to the roads. Decided to take a tour where Laura did the driving and guiding and we just need to enjoy the sceneries. Laura took us to the main spots and is so patient with the kids, explaining the history of the park and the famous John Muir. The lunch was right and delicious sandwiches. My kids devoured them. Enjoyed a beautiful few days in Yosemite with family. Unfortunately we booked online with the wrong tour company. While the driver was knowledgeable and friendly enough, we were picked up in a 12 passenger van. The van could have been cleaner and more comfortable. There were no handles to hold onto to pull yourself into the van. We had to hoist our 86 year old mother into the van. The vans air conditioner didn't work so it was rather stuffy with us all packed in there like sardines. The van had regular windows although not proper viewing windows so when the driver pointed something out, it could not be seen at all. The knowledgeable driver narrated throughout the trip but could only be heard by those in front row as there was no microphone or audio system. The driver picked us up at our hotel 30 min late in the morning and 15 min late after lunch. My seatbelt tightened up and was strangling me so I had to remove it many times to reset it. On the more positive side we saw Fennel Springs for water, Washburn Point Nevada & Vernal Falls, Tunnel view, Glacier Point, Majestic hotel and Bridal Falls for picnic lunch. The supplied deli sandwiches were really good. We made the best of our day. Never a bad experience in Yosemite and hopefully this tour company will consider making some improvements. read more

Overall very nice tour. Tour guide and the group we were with were very nice and talkative. Saw some beautiful sights and took a short hike to Lower Yosemite falls. The picnic lunch was very good. My only complaint is that I wish the guide would have done more talking about the sights than to the members of the group. Didn't even know I had seen El Capital until I got back to the hotel and googled it. It was then that I realized we HAD seen it on the tour, just didn't know it at the time. Still not sure if we saw Chapel or Sentinel Bridgeto view Half Dome. In hindsight I should have interrupted and asked more questions. Also a word of warning: the website says tour begins at 9. 9am is when the sights begin. Depending on your pick up location your tour could be begin much, much earlier. They were extremely nice at first. Calling to confirm reservations and meet time/place. Due to our slight mistake of entrusting the local, who was the receptionist where we stayed, to give us directions we showed up to the wrong pickup location. This companies "niceness" quickly changed to EXTREMELY RUDE. Dispatcher on the phone asked us to give the driver 10-15 minutes to show up for pickup and to stay where we were. Over an hour later and a few calls back and forth, we finally decided to walk away and give ourselves a tour of Yosemite. The dispatcher on the phone was EXTREMELY rude to us. The only thing he kept telling us is that it was our fault and not theirs. We explained several times to the dispatcher that we were not placing blame on them and apologized for having been sent to the wrong pickup. When the driver finally showed up over one hour later, we had already left. How long were expected to wait?? 10-15 minutes that turns into over an hour wait, a rude dispatcher who exemplified the best kind of customer service by hanging up on us when we informed him that we were not going on the tour, and no refund for a tour that was never taken. Why exactly would I get into a vehicle for a company who shows that kind of customer service over the phone, did not care to see what kind of service we would get in person. We offered to pay the company for the gas and mileage the driver made to show up to the pickup location if we could be reimbursed the remainder. Nope. The manager at least agreed to reimburse us for the uneaten lunches. $400 loss vs horrible customer service Yea I think I will take a $400 loss. No person should have to deal with that kind of bologna and hassle. Hope they fire the guy however the manager fully supported the employee. read more

How wonderful to be able to drink in the scenery while Rick skillfully navigated Yosemite's twisting roads.
