After having a negative experience at a CrossFit gym a year ago, I wasn't sure I wanted to go back…read more I decided to try out CFLW box and I'm so happy I did. The owner and the coaches are amazing and very welcoming. The members are very inclusive, even if they don't know you, someone will smile and say hi. The coaches themselves are phenomenal. They will correct your form, guide you through moves and support you. Most importantly, the coaches coach the classes. The gym also offers nutrition, coaching, and personal training coaching, which I have taken advantage of both Nutrition- TJ is the certified nutritionist at the gym and she is amazing. She does not food shame. Her program is not about what you cannot eat, but about what can you add that's more healthy. Additionally the program also supports mindful and positive lifestyle. It's not just about food, it's about exercise and positive mindset. Personal Training- I train with Laurin and I have not been happier with a trainer. She's tough yet loving and knows how to get in my head. The results that I have seen from her are incredible. I have had three shoulder surgeries and she has been key in helping me regain my strength. She's amazing!

I have been a consistent member with CFLW since late September 2020. The coaching staff here is…read morevery attentive and professional in all of their exercising instruction. A great group of members too. My experience here, after nine months, has helped me realize weight loss and muscle gains. At 61 years old - this is an awesome accomplishment. Convenient location as a Lake Wylie resident. Reasonable fees for great results! No hesitation to recommend this gym to anyone seeking a great place to achieve their exercising goals. -Doug W

Stax - Randy Moss coaching Monday & Wed 6:30PM FREE STAX Bootcamp

This review is for the STX free boot camp that they have every Monday and Wednesday:…read more I wasn't ready. Mentally or physically for what went down Wednesday night. I'll try to keep it short. (Yeah right! Lol) Overall- such a GREAT workout, experience and Emily breeze is so awesome!!! The only thing that kept me from quitting..well two things kept me from quitting. Knowing that summer is coming and my booty isn't where it needs to be and sheer will power to just keep going. I almost quit. Like literally said to myself "I can't do this...I so can't do this". And I heard the small inner former athlete say "yes.you.can" so I took another step...one more push up...one more lunge...one more squat. It's a brutal workout. I think we did (well I did because I couldn't do them all) at least 200 squats. I'm sure others did more. I think about 50 or more (I dunno I think I blacked out after a while) push ups, so many sprints, a bear crawl, back pedals, omg...my body was quivering. My mental state was shot....until something clicked and I remembered "yes I can". Sure I didn't do 20 squats at each cone, but I tried to do 15. I just kept moving. Never standing and never cheating myself out of the movement. I push well past my comfort zone. Along with about 200 people. It's a good mix of fitness levels and a great sense of community. I met some great people. Strangers were encouraging each other. The group clapped for those who were coming in last to encourage them. Amazing. By the time we got to the burpee plank series I was spent. I'm glad that was last. The ONLY reason why I'm kicking off a star is because at the end a big muscle guy kick my foot while I was in a modified plank hold (my knees were on the ground and I would alternate left and then right knee) and said "is that your plank?" I said "yes. You don't know my story. You try having stomach surgery" and he walked off. What I SHOULD have said was "is that your face? Oh it is? Then yes. This is my plank" That made me mad and confirmed why I don't xfit. I was judged by my plank and he kicked my foot. So for that, I kick off a star. At least my plank will get better...your face?? *shrugs shoulders* I'm going to go back. I am so happy that I didn't quit. It's challenging and it will help push me past my level of comfort!!!

Man oh man! While on our year long travels around the US, we found this FREE bootcamp on Charlotte…read moreon the Cheap's site looking for things to do. When I saw that it was co-led by THE Randy Moss, I knew we had to go, being a huge Patriots fan. Since we have been traveling around the US, we have really only been running and getting SOME body weight work in. This class whooped our asses haha! For a class size of about 200 people, it was very well organized! Everyone got a great workout, I felt like I could go ROUGHLY at my own pace, and everyone was very encouraging. I'd like to say that it is an all-levels class, but it really isn't. You would probably be better off with some athletic background or at least average/above average fitness level to keep up. I would be back if I am in the area again! Feel free to follow our travels at www.tandaintheusofa.com! One thing to note, is they do charge $5 to park in their lot, which we did not know. We did see many other people parking on the street perpendicularly across the street.

I love…read morethat MADabolic's flexible and fun interpretation of interval-driven strength training allows you an intense full body workout. As a Plus Size girl gym-timidation can be frustrating. I felt comfortable and empowered. Alex was great. He gave me great suggestions how to use what I learned at home. The venue is open and has a large breath of equipment to help you focus on training your core and specific muscles groups. I took a Momentum class that gradually builds in intensity. The Focus was on athleticism & endurance where the pace was 6 rotations (2 each at 70 - 80 - 90% off weights) on 6 different stations. Let's just say you can feel the burn! I also got adjust positions based on my flexibility and limitations. I like to give it 100% so I did change too much. It was such a great experience! I could see few monthly classes in my rotation. I really appreciate the private parking too. That's a huge plus for the area!
