You do a 60 min workout consisting of 20 min of spin, 20 min of strength, 20 min of yoga in that order. i've tried so many spin and pilates classes and i find myself getting bored of them but i never get that feeling at Spenga. Liz is a phenomenal instructor, but all of the instructors are so high energy and make sure you have correct form to stay safe while working out. It's pretty beginner friendly, and the instructors offer modifications during each workout so you never feel weird about maybe not being able to do the workout exactly like them. I have made all my friends try spenga at least once and I'm truly obsessed.

The first time I took Spenga, I kept telling my best friend I wanted to come back immediately! We both booked through ClassPass since we wanted to try out a new studio. Plus, 3 - 20 min exercises in one class is super interesting. 20 min of cycling, 20 min of weight lifting, and 20 min of yoga at the end to cool down. The front desk staff are quite inviting! The instructors have AMAZING energy, especially when we first took our class with Sergio. He was motivating, smiled, and just had this high energy that kept me going in my workout. ESPECIALLY, during the first 20 min of the spin portion. I recorded my workouts on my apple watch for each section and booooiiii you basically burn about 400 calories total! You gotta bring your own towel and of course water!! They got you dripping in sweat! There's plenty of parking in the back of the building, plus lockers to put your stuff in and shower. I highly recommend trying this place out! You get everything you need from cardio, weights, to even yoga cool down.

Best gym on the East Side!!…read more I started coming to Facet Seven Eado to get in the best Bride-To-Be/ Wedding shape I could, and it happened thanks to Mikel!! I highly recommend booking with him if you're in the market for a personal trainer! Not only will he help you reach your goals, but he's also very informative with why you're doing certain exercises (which is very helpful as someone who has no clue!) I do have to say, having a personal trainer really made my experience at Facet Seven Eado! I love that you can view all the trainer profiles online and book with them, making the whole process more approachable. The gym itself seems to have everything you would need - from machines to free weights to classes. Parking: They have some handicap parking and a few open spaces in front of the gym. That being said, I almost always had to park on the side street. Accessibility: In addition to the handicap parking - They do have a ramp for accessibility to the entrance as well, but otherwise get ready for a pre-workout warm up hiking up the stairs to the front entrance! They also have a large shower stall (at least in the women's locker room) for accessibility needs. Staff: The staff (especially the trainers) are beyond welcoming. For some reason the people at the front desk aren't so much. During my time here, I rarely got welcomed which does make it a bit awkward if you're not so comfortable in the gym. Also, they have a scanner to checkin on your app but that worked less than 50% of the time for me, leading to more awkward moments with the front desk. Space: The space is very open, allowing for a lot of different areas. During my time here, they did move some of the weights around, which made for a bit of a choke point/crowded area for the weight machines near the rowers. Personally this was a turn-off for me. Also, being a warehouse, it gets warm. There is AC but during the summer months it doesn't cool too effectively - which I guess helps you sweat and maybe is a good thing (but for me wasn't the best). Overall, I'd definitely return here if I needed a PT to help reach another goal. I definitely recommend it if you're looking for a new gym in general !

The trainers and the people that come here are just so encouraging and have always shown me that they truly care about each and every individual's personal goals and work with each body type. I've never felt like I couldn't come in a little earlier or stay a little later and just ask questions and get help and advice on reaching my own fitness and health goals. F45 makes me feel like I am a part of a community. Overall this location, I may sound bias, is THE best! I have friends and co-workers who are members of the other F45 locations in the Houston area and a part of other types of gym classes who have left their gym to come to the West U F45 location! So it isn't just about the program and the equipment either, It's truly the people and the community that can make a huge impact on whether or not you can achieve your fitness goals and get the results you want to look and just FEEL good about yourself!

They definitely have a good community aspect to it compared to some other locations I've been to. I recommend trying if you want a good workout! At first I was obviously hesitant because the last time I had lifted any sort of weights was in 9th grade of high school aka ages ago. To even think of trying something as intimidating as CrossFit seemed to be unfathomable. I decided that I needed to turn my health around and get back into shape because honestly everything had changed about me like my energy levels, obviously my physique, and my attitude. I still remember coming in the first time and feeling my initial sense of intimidation leave as I really felt so unbelievably welcome in the gym. What appears as a blue, metal, unidentifiable exterior is really a warm community inside that has changed my life immensely. The coaches at this gym genuinely care about you as a person and want you to see growth in yourself, but also keep your overall health at the forefront. They design perfect workouts to target areas and muscles you forgot you even had. The community that Frank and Allison have created is one of more than a typical gym and is to the point where we are definitely more like a family. There is enough variety in equipment here to do any and everything you could need for a workout and they are always adding more things to vary the workouts. On top of this they always strive to do additional fun and new ideas like Nutrition courses, gym bingo, weightlifting courses, bring a friend days and so much more. I have now been at the gym for around 2 and a half years and I am dreading the day that I have to say goodbye to these amazing people in May. I'm emotional as it is so for me to say bye to people who have given me so much of their time and lives will be almost too much to handle. If you are looking for a new gym that will keep you consistently motivated to feel better overall and make you more than just a gym-goer to the point where you are an actual family member then you NEED to check out CrossFit Derive because if you go anywhere else you are missing out on so much in life.

Riti was our instructor for RUN X FULL BODY & she kept the upbeat vibes the entire time! It was honestly impressive & equally shocking how amazing her classroom management was haha but she kept us motivated for the whole 50 minutes. There were various sets where half the class was on the treadmill and the other half on the floor. The treadmillers were jogging, sprinting, & everything in between. The floor people were doing a lot of squats, bodyweight & weight lifting exercises. Then every few minutes the people on the treadmill would switch to the floor and vice versa. You really have to listen carefully and pay attention while the instructor is moving around shouting out what you're supposed to do. Parking is in a lot or on the street, both requires payment. There are lockers to store your belongings as well as showers in the bathrooms. They provide towels at eac station for the class as well. You be assigned a number for the treadmill & the floor section. This is definitely not meant for someone who gets overstimulated easily but if you like chaotic exercise classes, I highly recommend. Try it out at least once, you won't regret it!
