So. I am not in the habit of writing bad reviews. I usually give any business the benefit of the…read moredoubt and also give them a chance to make things right. But that did not just happen. So I called to cancel my Hotworx membership about 4-6 months ago. At that time I was told that it would cost a large fee to cancel the membership, so as a courtesy, they would just put my account on hold or "freeze" with no fee. I was also told on the phone that I could call back when I wanted to "unfreeze" the account. Great. However.... My "membership" was a direct withdrawal from my bank account, and (my bad) I didn't notice that for some reason it was "unfrozen" 3 months ago, at a rate of $59 a month. When I called today to speak with them, they said if I wanted to cancel, it would be $99. This is in ADDITION to the $180 they collected for the last 3 months for turning my account back on. $280 for a mistake that they made. After speaking to 2 individuals (I'm assuming the 2 women who own the store), they said that they would do me a courtesy of canceling my membership for "free", but they would not remove the 3 months of fees. When they turned my membership back on, they did not inform me by email, voicemail, or text. So I was not aware it was back on. They said that, per their contract (that my husband signed, as it was a gift) they did not need to notify me. When I asked why it was turned back on without my permission, they said that this was in the paperwork i signed to freeze the account. I said I called on the phone to cancel, and the woman said that she would freeze for free and I could call back when i wanted to come back. She said I must have been misinformed on the phone, but again referred back to the fine print of the original contract. So, she said I was misinformed on the phone, but still charged for 3 months with absolutely no notification (other than my bank statement), and given this fact, they still would not work with me (other than waiving a $99 fee to cancel). I really thought these women were running a great business there. I enjoyed going there when I got the membership. But this business practice really left a bad taste in my mouth.

Both Brooke and Michael are amazing trainers and don't let you cheat your own potential when you come in for a workout! Each class is different, except for the one main thing that is the basis of each class... a POSITIVE & SUPPORTIVE atmosphere! I'm not the most in shape person, but there has never been any negativity or shade thrown towards me or any of the other members who don't have the body of Adonis or look like they could be on the cover of the swimsuit edition of Sports Illustrated. Everyone belongs at Blitz 45 and your fitness goals are your own to conquer with their expert help! I highly recommend this group fitness class to anyone looking for a fun and community centric place to hit their goals. LOVE YOU GUYS!!!

The class in my opinion appeared overbooked, with 3 people per station which I have never had experienced more than 2. Hand weights had to be shared so I was unable to increase with sets as the workout intended. There were also no towel to wipe down equipment/faces throughout the workout. Outdoor temps are in the 90's and humidity is high. Not sure why corporate won't prioritize fixing the AC???!!! Also, the water fountain has been on it's last legs for 3 years. It is just a trickle, so you cannot refill a water bottle. Again, seems like corporate is not willing to step up and just put in a new fountain and bottle filling station. It would be great for overheated members and would also cut down on plastic waste from single use bottles.

I love planet fitness, have been going there for about a year now and no complaints until today…read more After my workout, I asked to use the tanning bed and the guy working (beard, long hair in a ponytail, probably middle-aged), gave me a hard time and pretty much acted like he hated his job. He was rude when asking me questions, ordering me around, and was also rude to my friend that came with me. The girl working with him was very sweet and Ive never had issues with any other workers.
