I am sooo glad I gave it a try. From day one, my first foundations class, I was in love. Yes of course, I was in love with the idea of Crossfit, but that's not what kept me coming back! The coaches, the athletes, and the environment at Crossfit Catawba Valley is the biggest part of why my first day didn't turn into my last! I quickly came to realize that this Box is sooooo invested in its athletes as well as the community, hence the reason why #buildingastrongercommunity. I am finishing up on my 9th week at Phoenix Physical Training & OMG y'all, he is awesome…read more I meet with Jesse 3 days a week, 30 min sessions. He is working with me to rehabilitate & strengthen my body from a spinal cord injury & my latest back surgery. After 2 weeks, my family & friends were already seeing a big difference in my walking & activity level. The 4th week I was able to do 2 Walmart trips with my son. Y'all, I haven't been in a store since the later part of 2017. I suffer from lots of nerve damage, both active & chronic. My legs randomly give out on me causing falls. Public places were not an option for me until now. I am even confident now enough to run a few errands on my own. This is huge for me. Anyone who suffers from anything knows the toll it takes on you not just physically, but mentally as well. So just getting out can cause anxiety. Now I'm getting out 3 days a week going to a safe place that's helping me get better. A win-win for me for sure. Jesse is one of the most comfortable trainers/therapist that I have ever worked with. He is so patient & encouraging. I was going to one of the local popular physical therapy places for awhile & I wasn't comfortable. The girls there were great, but it was all out in the open & always lots of people around. No privacy. I dreaded going each time. Another issue I had with them was scheduling. By the time my insurance would approve sessions, this place wasn't able to accommodate them all in-in the time they had to be used by. I was missing out on a lot of therapy sometimes not able to get in for 2 wks. For some reason they wouldn't pre-schedule my visits. It was very frustrating & stressful. I Phoenix Physical Training for anyone either in my situation or just wanting help to get healthy & fit. I can not stress enough how good he is & how comfortable he is to work with. He really cares & is very passionate about helping others. I look forward to our sessions & can't wait to see where I'll be at physically in another 9 wks. I am so excited for my progress & forever grateful to Jesse for bringing me this far so quickly. Thank you.

This is also her third season doing the theater program. Both dance and theater have given my daughter so much confidence and allows her to be creative. Michelle the owner is fantastic! She treats all of the students as if they were her own children. She has done such an awesome job selecting her team of teachers as every single one of them are just amazing. Michelle and her team have created such a culture of warmth and belonging for each student. Even though the studio has grown over the years, you feel like family. There is no other studio I would consider for my daughter because Neighborhood Dance feels like home.

This is probably the best gym in morganton. The upstairs has tread mills, weight equipment and the…read more"normal" gym environment. I say normal because most industry gyms have gone to having smoothie bars, TVs, and group class exercises... the down stairs however - where I hung out during my stay - has a crossfit feel. They have functional fitness classes and most everything there to do a crossfit type workout (they don't yet have climbing ropes). But all that isn't what makes this hometown gym so great. What makes it great are the people everyone is friendly, kind, and professional at what they do. The staff also work with their customers to match them with the right plan for them. So, if you are looking for a hometown friendly customer first type of gym APL is the place to go.
