The trainers are very personable with each customer that comes in, you get a customize workout each day. I love coming in the morning and they ask what do you want today? If I know it's going to be a tough day at work I ask for a circuit workout with a timer. I I'm look for some different but lite, I may get intervals. There's never a shortage of the various types of exercises that you can do so you don't get bored. The trainers are always coming up with new challenges as well as new meal plans. When I go in in the morning it's between the hours of 6 to 8pm (45 minutes) and I'm never there with more than five people. Attending this gym benefits my mind, body and annual physical check-up numbers.

This YMCA is located off of Sugarloaf Parkway - one of the main streets in Lawrenceville. This Y…read moregets pretty busy the later that it gets on a weekday so come early of you don't want to end up parking in the back. Their main weekday busy hours begin at around 5pm. Upon entering, you give your card to the people at the counter. The pool is off to the left of the entrance although I have never used it. To get to the locker rooms head straight back and turn left down the first opening. There are showers and a jacuzzi in the back of the locker room. The layout is interesting in this place because there are several rooms for working out unlike the location in Dunwoody. There is one cardio section straight across from the locker rooms and one section at the back of the Y. They have 2 places to shoot basketball; an outdoor section which is in the back to the left out the doors and a section towards the front in an indoor gym. The free weight room is also split up with a section for free weight machines in the middle of the Y and a section off to the rear on the right where there are free weights. If you would like to use the classroom for some exercises then you can! They don't limit you going in there when the classroom is unoccupied unlike Dunwoody... :) The last time that I was here at this place, there were making some renovations in the back so I suppose that those are done by now. It does feel a bit small here, but that's mainly because they don't have a large opening for their workout sections and instead have rooms. Overall, I like it here and I can do what I came to do in peace!

My family purchased a membership but never used it a single time. Not once. My husband is an 100% disabled veteran, and we have a 14-month old. We hadn't had the opportunity to utilize the facility. When I contacted the YMCA to cancel, I requested consideration since we had received no benefit from the membership. Instead, I was told (by both their member admin Danena Cahill AND their VP Shane Gann) I still owed another month's dues because memberships continue until canceled with 30 days' written notice, regardless of usage. I understand businesses have policies, but I'm extremely disappointed that a nonprofit organization whose mission is serving the community wasn't willing to make an exception for a family that never stepped foot in the facility. The staff was polite and professional throughout the process, but customer service ultimately amounted to repeating the policy rather than finding a reasonable resolution. If you're considering joining, make sure you fully understand the cancellation policy. Even if you never use the membership, you'll continue to be billed until you "properly" cancel it.

An hour or so after I book my class, I get a call from Kelcie who very rudely claims that I am not a member and I will be charged 40 dollars if I don't provide her with local mail on my arrival. Red flag #1 I called home to my local gym, and they assured me that all classes at all locations are included. I attended the class, and was charged a no show fee by kelcie to my card on file. After asking kelcie if this was ethical or legal, she had a full on meltdown and proceeded to tell me that it was "her gym, her rules." I think kelcie is confused at the fact that she just works there, and does not in fact own orange theory. Each location is individually owned, and allows for these kind of discriminatory, unscrupulous, and unethical practices to go unchecked. If you love orange theory, be sure to join a location that values your money and membership. Luckily for me, I am not local to this location.

Very arrogant, rude and disrespectful. He is the face of why people feel uncomfortable going to gyms and he does not represent the "no judgement zone" atmosphere PF boasts. This location has great machines and equipment but I'm never going back.
