The camp offers 4 hours of fitness training per day along with meals provided by the camp. No outside food is allowed. The accommodations are great. I had a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo on Madeira Beach. The trainers are goal-oriented and help you every step of the way. No matter your fitness level, they cater to you. I went from minimal exercise to exercising 4 hours a day. When I got home, I found that I was able to continue with the good habits I built at Weight Crafters. I highly recommend this camp. It was just the jump start I needed to get back into shape and live a healthier lifestyle.

After…read morepurchasing a workout band from the vending machine, I was accused of stealing and was asked to pull up my bank statements to prove I paid. Even after I showed proof and it was clear I did nothing wrong, no apology was ever given. And even embarrassed me in front of the whole studio. From that point on, the environment completely changed. I was no longer greeted when I came in, and the staff made me feel unwelcome. It got to the point where I felt like I had to come after hours just to avoid interactions, which is not how a paying member should ever feel. On top of that, the workout setup itself is extremely frustrating. You basically can't work out whenever you want because there's only a few classes every few hours, and only three people can sign up per room. Three people in such a tiny sauna is already pushing it, and most of the time classes are full, which makes it feel impossible to actually use the membership you're paying for. $60 for a base membership is ridiculous for what you get and not to mention you can not cancel for free. If you want out it's either $100 or u have to pay and continue for 2 months. It's also worth mentioning that there are overwhelmingly positive reviews because members receive a discount for leaving a good review. I no longer need a discount, so here is the honest truth: this place is not worth it. The workouts are very repetitive, the concept gets old quickly, and the company comes across as very money-hungry rather than focused on member experience. Between being falsely accused, the lack of accountability, the uncomfortable atmosphere, and the impractical class system, this feels more like a scam than a supportive fitness studio. I would not recommend Hotworx to anyone looking for flexibility, fairness, or a welcoming environment.

I'm so much stronger today (mentally and physically) because of her. I only ended our sessions because she moved to FL and I couldn't have been more distraught! Especially if you are new to pilates or returning after a long hiatus, private sessions are really worth it. Why 5 stars? Because Alyssa pours everything into her business…read more --- --- --- I've been struggling with some pretty annoying symptoms around my lower back and hip for over a year now and I've seen a couple different physical therapists for it. Unfortunately, the problems not only still persists, but I seem to have the most unique issues in the history of mankind, which means that I'm an incredibly tough patient for anyone to figure out. After going to one PT twice a week for 4 months without any progress, I went on the hunt to get a third opinion via the Active Release Technique website. Alyssa had several certifications, so I gave her a call and set up an appointment. My experience at Empower PT was absolutely different from any other place I'd been to in my life. First off, I really appreciated Alyssa's energy from the beginning. She was incredibly dedicated and determined to help solve my issues - almost to the same level that someone in my own family would be. You definitely get the vibe that you are Alyssa's only focus and concentration because she seems to remember every tiny detail of your story and symptoms. She does research in between appointments and tries new things with each visit, and has a whole plan mapped out for you before you even walk in the door. But in reality, Alyssa has tons of other patients - she just has the uncanny ability to make you feel like she's spending 40+ hours a week on YOU. Another reason my experience was different from other places - I spent a lot of time doing various workouts, mobility training, etc. This might be more relevant to my particular problem, but it seemed to be less about getting massage/work done and more about me strengthening things that have weakened over time and put me in this predicament. And one more important detail that's different about Empower PT - there is less than zero pressure to commit to any sort of long term plan of coming back. I get the sense from Alyssa that she'd rather have magically made my symptoms go away after two visits and never see me again, over locking me into some crazy thing where I'm coming here regularly for months. The latter would mean more income for her business, but she comes across as the type that would rather have a higher success rate of fixing problems than becoming a millionaire :) Are my issues totally gone after coming here a handful of times? No. But I do think we're onto something. Horrible posture for my entire adult life is probably what put me in this situation, so a few appointments is not going to suddenly solve decades of what got me here. But the good news is that I can now play hours of basketball without my back going completely out of commission - something that was not true before I came to Empower PT. Lastly, I think the entire experience here is summed up in the name. Alyssa wants to Empower people to learn how to take care of their issues at home so that they don't have to continue to come in and see her countless times. I was given a long list of workouts and stretches to perform on my own and have been doing them religiously. That has been instrumental in my progress! I've also taken a couple of mobility classes with the 2nd person in the office, Nick! Just like the do-it-at-home plan that I was given, these are great to give me new ideas on what to work on when I'm at the gym. Prior to this, I was doing a pretty archaic workout plan that probably was doing more harm than good. I'll never think of working out the same again after trying some of these classes! If you can't tell already, I love Empower PT - my new go-to when my body isn't cooperating with my desire to live a healthy and active lifestyle!
