I went to Salon 1006 a few weeks ago, and it was a great experience. It is situated in Hometown…read morePlaza, and it is a comfortable building, with lots of other businesses surrounding it. The person who did my hair was super nice, and she did my hair exactly the way I wanted it. They are also super patient, and I overheard someone say they wanted something else instead, and they said that was ok, and waited while the person explained how they wanted it. When you walk in, you are greeted by 2 salon stations, which are on the left and right sides. There is a separation where they display some merchandise and other pictures, then there are some other machines in the back of the salon. Also, there are also some magazines if you want to keep yourself entertained while you wait for someone to get their haircut. Overall, it is a great place, and the people who work there are very nice. -BS

I was a cosmetology student at the time and needed some questions from hair salons for a project at…read morethe time. I walked in and instantly was greeted rudely. I get that I probably should have called first but no customers were in the salon at the time. Half of the hairstylist were on their phones as well. The manger at the time was the person who I was questioning. She was VERY rude. Quick remarks and felt like I was wasting her time. She even made a remark about how I was dressed (mind you I was in the mandatory black scrub top and bottoms for my school). She stated that I look unprofessional. One of the questions I had to ask (because it was part of the interview) was "what is the name of your salon"? Like duh I knew what it was but I had to ask it. She literally said "um did you not look at it when coming in" and laughed at me. Well one the name is "Salon 1006" pretty generic and confusing. And two, she did not have to laugh at me. Overall, the atmosphere seems toxic and prices seem high. Go to Fantastic Sams or All Occasion Salon! They were the nicest people and prices were fair.
