The alcohol isnt particualry expensive, its probably about average, and the music tends to be the latest chart toppers and the like. The smoking area is really REALLY small however, not enough room to swing a cat really and this can be a problem when the place is packed. Its a great place to go and observe the 'mutton-dressed-as-lamb' on a saturday night attemptiong to strut their stuff on the dance floor - most amusing!

The atmosphere is lively and upbeat with a jukebox, several TV's all showing different channels and a real mixture of people in the place (Our group consisted of some old fuddy duddies like me and some well behaved kids!). The pool tables are in excellent condition and after we finished with ours, the guy behind the bar came out and cleaned it, I don't think I've ever seen that happen anywhere else! There are some other activities that we did't get time to try like Snooker and Darts and there are also some quiz machines and even Jenga if that appeals to you. We found the prices to be reasonable and managed to get a pool table for the entire evening for around £16. Slim Jims caters for a mixture of modern and old world tastes and I'll make sure I visit again next time I'm in the UK!

Bar Sports is pub which is well spaced plently of seats and has lots and lots of televisions and i dont mean like 5 i mean like 20 +. Heck they have television in the toilets, you can watch your number one team whilst taking a number 1. The prices are fairly well priced, they dont have special cheap nights but they do sell the lovely guiness red. They also sell food during the day which i have to say is a bit overpriced but its nice but its far from special. I guess its good if you want a snack or something to munch on. I must say though, this place doesnt quite attract as many people as you might think.

Super tasty quality food, I noticed that on the menu it even tells you which farm the meat came from, or where the ice cream was made etc. The Greek Lamb and the Gammon are both brilliant. The portions are huge and I'm always left with enough food for another meal but save room for the Holly Bush sundae because you wont ever have a such a selection of tasty locally made ice cream :) The prices are great too, last time I went it was around 30quid for the 2 of us.
