Altogether, I've been a Lifetime member off and on going back to 2003, and while there's always plenty of comparison and criticism from members, there isn't a better fitness operation around. Even though I don't go to this location often, I'm very comfortable with its layout because it's pretty much identical to my old club in Columbus, Ohio. While I have not taken any classes at Flower Mound, it is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need and want in a club. In addition to the multitude of weights, classes, personal training, and treadmills, it also has a recovery area which, although smaller than Las Colinas, offers the massage chairs, cryo chairs and leg compression found at my home club. The #1 reason I belong to Lifetime from an amenities standpoint is because of recovery/rejuvenation - that alone is worth the price of admission. I love that Flower Mound took one of its two hot tubs in the main lap pool area and converted it to a cold plunge - so it's worth the trip when I go over there to play pickleball and then go to the tubs. As for pickleball itself, the courts are next to the basketball court as they occupy part of what was once a full area devoted to hoops. The courts are side by side and have no dividers. Last time I was there the club left a basket of balls that everyone plucked from when they didn't want to chase down a ball from their court, which I don't think is a great fix as you end up with tons of balls lying around that someone could step or trip on. As for the pickleball experience itself, the players are friendly, the space is a bit humid, sometimes there's an attendant there - sometimes not. The experience is the equivalent of what you'll find at a municipal operation like Wagon Wheel in Coppell or L.B. Houston - smaller parks with some programming, except that it is indoors with fewer courts. I don't get the impression it's run very well, or that it's a top club priority, but it's good enough to work into my playing routine from time to time when I want to change it up. Overall, the Flower Mound Lifetime, based on the time I've spent there, is an excellent health and fitness choice packed with value no matter your health mission.

They always answer all the questions that you have and educate you while your doing your work out. I have seen a huge difference since I have started. If they say they do month to month, well that's total BS. This is how they make money by screwing over people and they do not know what the hell they are doing or talking about, or better yet, they do. Read the reviews. It will save you time and Heartache having to deal with this place and ending up in a bad situation like I did and other people that I've read have. I never once received a contract to my email that they say they are sending to you. It's a lie. I didn't know I signed a year contract and then when my contract was finally up, I call the billing department after my membership was cancelled, because they kept charging my account after the fact, and this stupid lady wanted to tell me that I was under a 2 year contract, which was another lie. I had the paper where I cancelled it and it was signed by the manager, and they still wanted to tell me that. How dumb. If you get into a situation like this with the franchise, you can call your bank and put a stop payment on your account so they cannot charge anymore because at this time it is considered fraud. You can do a range and your bank will monitor your account for a year or so. Never give your debit card or checking account and always use a cc if possible. You really need to pay attention and READ READ READ everything before you sign it. I hope this post helps.

They also do not stack their weights after use and for some reason, seem to have a problem with weight size. They will put a 45 lb plate on top of a 5 lb and let you dig to get it. very disorganized. Like someone's mother needs to pick up after them. Not good at fixing broken equipment and the trainers look like they have never touched a weight in their life. What? Do as I say, not as I do! On top of that, I've seen giant sized roaches in multiple areas, which is unacceptable for any fitness facility. The society of senior citizens can be nice sometimes, but there's a small group( especially older ladies) who are rude and unwelcoming, making the gym feel more like a social battlefield than a place to exercise. Overall, the combination of strict rules, cleanliness issues, and unfriendly members makes this gym hard to recommend. There are better options nearby that value both safety and customer experience.
