Tracy and Wade were very helpful, knowledgeable, and kind, and I decided to purchase through them.

I was prepared for a weekend of going from place to place testing out overpriced mattresses until we narrowed it down. I expected this to be followed be a second weekend of trying to find the best price on a mattress and hitting furniture stores to get a new bed frame. We were not sure yet if we would stick with a queen size or rearrange our bedroom to accommodate a king. I did not expect this venture to be fun, but a pain in the ass, while trying to make the best decision on an 7-10 year investment. I came across Bargain Sleep Center, which only had one review, and looked at their website. I liked that this is a small business and they do various things to keep their overhead down to sell the mattresses cheaper. One of the things they do is only open the location by appointment so there is not wasted payroll and I'm not opposed to that. I figured I might check them out on the second weekend once I narrowed down the choices to see if they had a better deal. Through their website I sent a message inquiring if they also had bed frames or mattresses only so I could determine how I may need to coordinate a purchase and delivery with a purchase from a separate furniture store. I also inquired about payment options and appointment availability so I could plan something out ahead of time. I sent in the inquiry on Thursday afternoon and got a response from William, the owner, that evening. After several more emails we went in at 10am on Saturday. The store is small with 5 types of mattresses on display but William switched several out with his stock so we could try others. The bed frames are boxed up but this was okay as William had sent me pictures of the bed frame I was leaning towards which was really nice. I could really see that they go through a lot of steps to keep the prices down. For example, their cheapest King is $400 (trust me, way better deal than the big boys) but their top of the line King that comes with a 10 year warranty was only $898 and since our choice of bed frame wouldn't need a box spring that brought the price of the top of the line model down to $798. When you look at other places, Kings range from a clearance of $550 to over $2000. Of course the other sizes he offers are even more reasonable, I was impressed. There was only a $200 difference between the queen and king sizes on the mattresses and about $65 difference for bed frames. That seemed like a no brainer. They also have sheets, mattress protectors and pillows in the very reasonable $25-30 range. He made this extremely easy and we only had to make one more trip to a store to buy a comforter in the new size. Delivery within a certain area is free and he offered to remove my old bed. I'm really glad I skipped the other places. If you go with something he already has in stock he can usually do it same day. This of course can depend on how busy he is (ex. Aug. is very busy) but it seems you can count on it for sure during the slower times (Sept- Oct, Jan- Feb). My needs are very specific. I can't stand the feel of memory foam or gel, it's hard to get in and out of bed and I feel like those types of mattresses are trying to eat me. With the work we do we need a firm mattress but I wanted a comfort layer. William was extremely patient with me and never once pushed me toward one brand or another. He actually sat there patiently switching them out for me while I went from mattress to mattress like Goldilocks, being extremely picky. In the end, he offered to order the mattress my husband loved and I was leaning towards in a firm for us to come back and try out. He eased my concerns that I may not like it and he would be stuck with it by assuring me he could sell it. Excellent customer service, you can tell he doesn't have to push you because he is confident in his product and prices. He notified me of it's arrival for Thursday but with my demanding schedule we had to arrange it for Saturday delivery. He arrived a few minutes early and put together the upholstered Mantua bed and brought our firm Body Contours by Sleep Inc king size mattress with fabric encased pocket springs and 3 1/2 inch comfort layer. Sleep Inc. is an American company that makes their beds in the USA and they also do Spring Air. The pocketed coils are especially good for my husband and I because of our varying sleep schedules- a lot less disturbance. That full 10 year warranty instead of a prorated warranty certainly doesn't hurt matters either. He also brought our pillows, mattress pad and sheets that we had purchased. IT'S PERFECT, I LOVE IT!! By the way, William has a great sense of humor and was a pleasure to do business with and have in our home. Frankly, I wish I would have more need to return, as he definitely deserves my business and yours. When in need, go here for mattresses, frames and bedding at an EXTREMELY reasonable price.

When the salesperson told me the price I…read morewas shocked and he replied, they have no control over pricing as Tempur-Pedic never runs a sale. See #3 below for that being a lie. Mattress Firm is price gouging and not letting customers know that they could order on their own from Tempur-pedic themselves and save a bundle. 1. Order shipped to wrong address. Sleep Expert replaced, then delivered to wrong address (not your fault but the delivery company). Finally got it. Took a month. 2. Ordered a Small Profile and got a Firm Medium Profile. The salesman and I both agreed that I needed a small. He did all the ordering. 3. Paid $172 at Sleep Expert. On Tempur-pedic website it is $119 and get a 2nd pillow free on sale (regular price $129) 4. Pillow is like a brick and because it is a medium profile can't sleep on it. The salesperson and I agreed I needed a small profile when it was ordered. 5. Person at Sleep Expert said if I kept the box (which I did) I could bring it back for a refund or exchange. That Sleep Expert is now out of business. Went to the Mattress Firm down the street and before I could even say anything, the salesperson said "We don't take pillows back." He knew the story as he was formerly at the Sleep Expert where I bought the pillow from another salesman. I left the pillow there for him to dispose of and walked out. Why is it you can use a mattress for 120 days and ( think of all that goes on on a mattress vs a pillow) and return it. But not a pillow!!! Could they not have let me exchange for another pillow. Or for customer service relations could have offered to refund the difference in pricing from the Tempur-pedic pricing and their pricing. With Mattress Firm the customer is never right!
