Things certainly have changed in regard to mall traffic; I have never really been a fan of going to…read morethe mall and usually just stuck with the "outside department stores" that had separate entrances (Macy's, Dillards, Penneys). Can certainly count on my hand the number of times I have been inside the mall since 2019. However, sometimes it is good to just walk around (when there are very few people around). :o) Wanted to purchase a few items from Bath and Body Works and actually enjoyed the quiet; the mall is still nice and clean; good choice of food items in the food court; quite a few new stores since the last time I visited inside the mall. On a different note, except for going to AMC and Belk every now and then, not sure what caused the downfall of the Tallahassee Mall, which I really liked at one point. :-(

Canopy Roads Brewing, who we featured graciously at our Elite Event at Lucky Goat Coffee in November are slated to open a space here. Dreamland BBQ, an Italian multi-restaurant and an Urban Food Market are destined to open in the coming months. And a music venue, too!! Steve Miller Band (who is awesome live, even for a man in his 70s) will be performing the inaugural concert at the Pavilion in late July. Cheers to a brand-spanking new Tallahassee Mall, ahem, Centre of Tallahassee! I have to stop doing that...

But…read moreI had 10 mins to kill on that side of town and stopped in to Burlington Coat Factory to get a peep at the (former) food court, see my photos. I'm excited to see the finished product. Burlington has had significant renovations already and has tons more floor space (new layout). Don't even get me started on the amazing deals I got on light blocking drapes (set of 2, 84" for $12!!!). Color me excited. Can't wait!

There is a movie cinema, Dollar Tree, Boot Barn and such. Casual and fast food restaurants face US-90. The Bass Pro tolerates overnight RV parking, which is always a plus. The lot is a little sloped but that was quickly solved with two leveling cubes. Decent shade and the landscaping is well maintained. Still, parking lots are a big draw for bad people so be sure your doors are locked and keep valuables out of sight. The tire department staff ordered my tires on a Friday evening, which turned out was a great time to go because no one else is ordering tires on a Friday evening. I received a subsequent call/voicemail as promised on the following Friday, advised the tires had arrived and to call and schedule the appointment. I called back and scheduled the appointment for 2 days later. I arrived at the appointed time and was told it would take 1 - 1.5 hours for replacement of two rear tires. My car was ready 30 minutes later. They beat their own time estimate. I hope the tires wear well and I'm grateful to the staff that assisted me.

I…read morereturned one item in about 11 and returned it to the post office with a confirmation number of which I had to pay $12.10 to return a pair of men's slippers I've called at least a dozen times and I still have not received my money back and I have confirmation that they received it on 26 December 2024. It is now the end of February 2025. No wonder they are having financial problems. They are horrible. My dog would be a better financial person than whoever they have. It is really aggravating. I cut up My Kohl's Charge card and mailed it back to them. Didn't seem to matter I guess because they are probably going bankrupt. Denise

I used to enjoy going into Kohl's because they had good selection of clothing that i could wear to work, etc. Now, meh...... I would not be surprised if this store ends up on the list of Kohl's stores that are closing. Kohl's used to excite me & now it does not. I have even closed my Kohl's card account.
