Academically, they understand concepts of math and grammar that students that I work with in public school struggle with. My eldest learned to write in cursive last year in the first grade and has beautiful handwriting! Public school discontinued the teaching of curs writing at least 20 years ago, because I know young people that never learned. Overall, I highly recommend Paidea Classical Academy for the reason stated and many more. The school has a family atmosphere. The Administration and office staff are truly people. There are so few teachers overseeing the childern, the owner works as a teacher for the 4 year old class. About the owner, she lacks empathy and displays a high level of ignorance regarding the parents and care of the kids. If you have a concern she will imply "that's how kids are" . Her husband on the other seemed kind and respectful he works there as well. My child enrolled and stayed for less than a month. He began peeing and pooping on himself, the students in the class scratched and hit him and nothing could be llheh many childern per teacher. If you want your child to regress and learn bad habits they can learn that at Learning Together Academy. I wouldn't enrolled my child here even if it was your only option. Wait and see what other daycare they can get in to. Your concerns will not be met speaking to the owner, she ends up deflecting and insulting you. The other reviews are other fake or not a valid rating of care. Situation that lead to the review: I arrived at 9:17 to drop my child. The first thing I hear waiting for the door to be opened." What happened" no good morning or anything. I explained, my son had a rough morning. In fact, he was absent a few days ago because he was sick. I proceeded to walk him to the class without disturbing the class and walk to my car. Before I leave, she (employee) tells me about the time he needs to be there. I repeat again he had a rough morning and I have a 3 month old baby, on top of that I pay full price. She turn and began speaking in Spanish to the owner. I am not a Spanish speaker so I don't know what's being said. The owner gets up from her chair in front of her class and says "oh no, she has the wrong one", she approached me and explain that the time again and I repeat the same thing I said to her employee. She then explains everyone had a rough morning. I tell her it was rude for her employee to turn in speak in Spanish and I'm not a Spanish speaker. She then states " Do you have a problem with her speaking Spanish, everyone speaks Spanish in here". At this point, it's clear she was being confrontational and I decided to take my child out to avoid any issue. Complete waste of time and money.
