I've bought my last two pairs of skis ftrom CCSHQ. Beyond the great prices, you can try before you buy. Love this place.

This weekend, I went skiing at two awesome ski resorts with my dad, named Treetops and Otsego Ski…read moreresort. Otsego was even funner than Treetops. It had a café, five individual lifts, plenty of fun trails and a massive terrain park. The café at Otsego was a very nice one, and had a large fire which was great to come into on a cold day. Unfortunately I wasn't able to be there for too long, and therefore couldn't see too many things that they served, but one thing I know was that the hot chocolate is great and the candy bars are delicious. The trails at Otsego were also great, but had a bit of a higher skill level. They had a few easy blues and greens, like Für Elise and Alan's alley for begenners, but no bunny hill, a load of blacks like waterfall and master's, two steep duo trails that me and my dad very much liked and even a few fun double blacks like Bob's Glade, a exciting and adrenaline-giving slope that emptied out into a easy green. The terrain park was also super fun, with gigantic jumps that sent me very high up into the air but no rails, which was ok but not as cool as it could be. The only rail I could find was a few rotten blocks of wood that someone had thrown together and then left to the power of the forest.

Our room was comfortable enough but outdated as were the exterior and hallway finishings. We were attending a conference and every staff member we encounter was friendly and helpful. The camaraderie at the bar was fun and comfortable however the pool area was like something out of a scary movie. I wouldn't mind dining or attending a conference here again but will find other accommodations next time.

With limited ticket sales per hour slot, we didn't have to wait too long at bottom or top of the hill. Biggest issue was people taking too long to drag their own tubes off the ending spot....

There were very few open tickets left, so I highly recommend making your reservations as far in advance as possible! You can cancel for a full refund before 48 hours of your tubing time. The website is a little contradictory as they say tubing is open for all ages, however, they highly encourage all tubers to be able to handle loading and unloading themselves on and off the tow rope. We have a 4.5 & 2 year old so we gambled, as I had heard they have double tubes and we'd be able to handle this issue by riding with them. When we arrived, we signed in inside and were given our passes and a quick run down of how things worked. I was happy to see the COVID safety precautions they had in place - plexiglass dividers, sanitizer, and lots of social distancing at the indoor tables. I will note, they require face masks to be worn inside and outside while on the hill. This was actually welcomed as it helped keep our faces warm and we didn't find it bothersome at all to have them on! Especially flying down the hill! They have a full bar, snacks, etc inside for sale - we did not take advantage but nice to know its there! Bathrooms are inside, as well. There is a pile of tubes that you get to choose from, double tubes are first come first serve and we were able to grab two. These were ideal for our young kids! We were able to load them on and off the tow rope easily and had no issues. The operator at the bottom is super helpful in making sure you tube is secured and you are good to go. There is an operator at the top that tells you to get off the tube and he unhooks it from the rope - did not expect that but it was very much welcomed! There was about 4 operators at the top of the hill that help coordinate when you can go down and help you get going - again, no anticipated but very welcomed! This allowed us to get situated with our kids and they launched us down the hill. The hill is pretty dang big! Given the recent warm up, the hill was also very icy! We did not have any issues falling out or tipping, thankfully, but I would definitely recommend helmets, especially for kids! I was very happy to see that they had put hay down at the bottom of the hill. Not only did this help combat the mud, slush, ice, water mess.. but it helped slow the tubes since you go about mach 10 down the hill! lol There is plenty of outdoor seating and a fire pit to enjoy, as well. All in all, we had a great experience at Timberlee and we look forward to coming back! Our kids loved it, and we as adults did, too! Also, we were disappointed we didn't see the Bloody Mary's until we were leaving, they looked really good!

Classic Michigan ski resort…read more.. I learned how to snowboard at Caberfae 25 years when in college, and this was the first time back since then... Caberfae was alright back then and still is today. Caberfae is a decent sized Michigan ski resort with no lift lines but minimal amenities, and can be a blast on a powder day. The biggest drawback though is if it's not a powder day, have fun shredding on a sheet of solid ice. After 22 years in the USAF and snowboarding all over the world (I am admittedly spoiled), I forgot what snowboarding on ice feels like... Ouch for anyone over the age of 40 lol. Although Caberfae does a good job of snow making and grooming of trails, the lack of continued fresh powder makes the resort an ice rink when fresh snow does not fall... Add in all the beginners that frequent the hill (and there's a lot) and this place can be a hospital bill waiting to happen, so be aware and have your head on a swivel. All-in-all though, Caberfae is a good family-friendly, beginner's resort, with respectably priced lift tickets, and has enough terrain to have a fun day on the hill. Dave Portnoy 6.8

This was a Tuesday night in February, so we were able to get a very good price on a double queen suite. Room was clean, comfortable and no issues. We had planned to go skiing Tuesday evening but ended up at the pool with our kids. The main lodge has a decent size pool that starts indoors and continues outdoors. There is an indoor hot tub and an outdoor hot tub. Also there are two Saunas. The kids were enjoying themselves so much we didn't even get to go skiing! On Wednesday we got breakfast at the top of the hill. We have eaten here before and it's always been good. After breakfast we got our gear and headed to the slopes. Treetops isn't a huge hill, but for the value midweek and 3 lifts, it's was a great time. We got started right at 10am and skied until about 4pm before heading home. There was almost no traffic and it was non stop skiing. The kids loved it as well and really enjoyed the beginners terrain park they built.

The pool area was fairly clean with just a little bit of salt on the floor from people's shoes/boots. I had on flip flops, so it was ok. I enjoyed the hot tub, though it's highly chlorinated, and my favorite part was the steam room. That was very nice. They provide robes, flip flops and towels. We got scalp massages and Dazzle Dry manicures and both services were great. I especially enjoyed Emily who did my nails; she was skilled and quite pleasant to talk to. The wax dip is amazing and this Dazzle Dry polish is already lasting so much longer than regular polish. Love it. They also had really cute clothing in the lounge area - I was quite tempted by a couple of things. I would for sure return. It was such a lovely day after skiing.
