There are pizza places closer to my house. Several of them. But when you need two full sheet pizzas…read moreand your reputation, sanity, and event success are on the line... you don't gamble on "maybe." You go where you know the pizza is going to show up hot, generous, and delicious. You go to Gianni Mazia's. They're a beloved local staple for pizza, subs, and all things gloriously Italian, and I can personally vouch for their pizza -- especially the pepperoni and mushroom, which has become my permanent order because my mouth refuses to accept alternatives. Gianni Mazia's is also home to what I consider one of Clarence's most elite social clubs: the Wednesday Lunch Ladies. My mom, Carol, and Dot meet here every single week. They are known by name. They have their own table. They have their orders. I am occasionally allowed to occupy a chair at this sacred gathering, though I sometimes respectfully bow out so Girl Time can proceed uninterrupted. My mom's regular order is the ham sub -- and when I say she loves it, I mean she probably dreams about it. I've tried to remain loyal to my pizza... but writing this review has now convinced me I will absolutely be ordering that ham sub for dinner tomorrow. So yes -- great pizza, legendary subs, friendly staff, and the kind of place that quietly becomes part of your routine and your stories. Gianni Mazia's isn't just a restaurant. It's a weekly tradition in a building. And honestly? That's the best kind of place.

Fresh cut, hot and tons of them. Pizza was just ok, needed to be cooked a min or two more, too much flop. Fingers cooked well, medium was what you would expect. Raspberry bbq was sweet if you like that note, I bet these would be great on a wing on the pit. Honey mustard just tasted like regular mustard which wasn't the best flavor note. Would pass one these if you were expecting a more Carolina gold type sauce. A triple finger, the fry and pizza was enough to feed 4 people with leftovers. All good size fingers and fries. Service was excellent the past few times I have been here. Waitress was attentive and refilled drinks, condiments etc... several times despite us being outside in prob the farthest area.

I have been here a couple times now and this place does not disappoint. A good size parking lot…read moremakes parking easy. The front door leads into a comfortable bar room with a large bar and an area with high tops and additional seating. I enjoy this space much more than their previous location which was rather industrial and not as warm feeling. We were early and had a few drinks. My blueberry beer tasted fresh and I enjoyed the blueberries in it. The bartender was pleasant and offered some different selections which my SIL really liked. The martini with the toasted coconut stood out. We were seated in the larger of the two back rooms. I split a cabbage roll app which had an Asian spin of pork and cabbage in a sweet sauce. My Jagerschnitzel was nicely fried over spatzle with red cabbage. The sauce and fried onions compliments perfectly. Everything was delicious with the French onion burger, the African pea soup and even the standard fish fry looked good. We skipped dessert but, from previous experience, save the room, it's worth it.

He suggested the…read morebarbecue sampler for two, along with chicken wings, lobster deviled eggs, but we started with their poutine . So many places try to door too much and then fail. But not this little piggy. The gravy which you know makes poutine was scratch, I could taste the depth of the stock it was made from. If that wasn't a all day stock they fooled me! The wings were a dry rub but still tender and juicy. The barbecue sampler had ribs, brisket, loose meat pork and just for giggles fried chicken. To put this in context, I'm the guy who dragged his family on the North Carolina barbecue trail from west to east hitting 7 of the places in one day ! I also do some smoking of meat at home myself with an old school barrel smoker. The brisket was spot on the loose pork was juicy with a respectable smoke ring and tender. The ribs pulled away clean ( I normally like more toothsome but most people prefer the easy bite) the fried chicken was a nice respite from the other elements nice Nashville fry on it. The lobster deviled eggs were NOT as pretentious as I expected the richness could be broken up with a chimichuri on the plate. It's not fair to judge the service because they are friends of my cousins so it was just family and love. Bottom line is we are going to plan another trip up to the area and this is a must go!
