I have lived by the beach for a year now , the place is absolutely fantastic and caters for all ages and abilities. The newly refurbished kids park has been a massive hit with my kids who love a challenge and like the white knuckle stuff, e.g the zip wires, they love their Dad testing their courage on all the different rides. When visiting we catch crabs by the bucket full, play with and feed the ducks and swans or explore the rock climbing and pooling. We love to challenge ourselves leaping down the sand dunes, depending what mood we and the weather are in. Its a glorious place to enjoy all year round, especially if you and your guests ar,nt nesh. The sunsets are second to none in this country, and the calmness of the ironmen serenely patrolling the front as the boats come and go is a surreal experience, try it out, trust me you will not be disappointed. Like the previous reviewer, I am amazed that we have such a wonderful, underused, isolated facility on our door step.Me and the kids class it as our front garden and give it the respect it truly deserves, what we take to the beach we bring home from the beach. The new lakeside centre might not be everyones cup of tea, but it is a brilliant edition, it gives people access to clean, local toilets ,be discreet, they wont mind that you are not paying silly prices to jog on a plastic treadmill while they are viewing miles and miles of free fantastic, panoramic open air running tracks..... TRY IT OUT BUT KEEP IT TIDY OR YOU WILL HAVE ME AND MY KIDS TO ANSWER TOO.....TOP TIP...always take a warm coat, jumper, I have seen so many families caught out. KEEP IT QUIET ,we dont want too many people knowing , OVERCROWDING IS A PAIN IN THE XXXX.I would award the marina 5 stars if the waters were clean and safe to swim in .There have been major improvements with the water..but there is still some hard work ahead. Well worth a visit, YOU DONT NO WHAT YOU ARE MISSING...TONY read more
