I would strongly recommend this for age 7 - 10 though smaller ones are able to come along too, height restrictions do apply to certain parts of the adventure courses, so to avoid disappointed I would recommend you go onto their website and check first. This place is all about fun and fitness for the whole family. They have a massive high wire forest adventure course; which is set within the countryside and developed to encourage you to get moving, and trust me by the end you the adventure a good cuppa and sleep is what you'll need, though if it is for the family then keeping the kids active by getting them tired then Jungle Parc is the place to bring them. It is a very safe environment and with all the proper equipment it is very enjoyable. The X-plorer course is for anyone over 1.35m in height and the Adventurer course is for children from 4 years old and with minimum height of 1.05m. The Jungle Parc is situated in Croxteth Country Park which is only 10 minutes from the city centre.

The site is generally an incredible place for outdoor activities for those looking to burn off more than a bit of energy (adults and children alike). The premises consists of two different courses: X-Plorer course and Adventurer course (for the little ones). Each course is ideally designed with a practical element, almost like an assault course but with the fun involved. There are 40 amazing activities to enjoy as you glide through trees on rope bridges, zip lines and cargo! It definitely sounds exciting as it really is. Adults are just £20 and Juniors £15. Prices include full training and all equipment to make sure you are fully prepared and safe. Not bad at all for an adventourous day in jungle like surroundings.

Walton Hall Park is not the biggest of parks in Liverpool but large enough to say the least! On a…read moresunny day, it is a wonderful place to spend the day with family and friends. If you fancy a picnic, there is plenty of open field space where you can't be noticed or noticed if you wish. The park has one main lake and a smaller pond where you can enjoy fishing or feeding ducks, swans or geese. Having said it is a great day to spend on a sunny day, it is also a great day to spend on a snowy day; back in January's snow flurry, the park had a magnificent white display with lakes turning into an ice rink. The place was beautiful to walk through but naturally hazardous for children and animals. Occasions like this are rare but when the opportunity arises, I would recommend a visit whether sunny or snowy!

I tend not to use the park as a faciilty in itself these days, I don't play tennis or bowls, or have a dog and I think I'm a little big to go on the swings, I usually detour through the park en route somewhere; it's such a lovely space, always so fresh and green; it's well tended to with large flower beds and stretching grassed areas. The shaded pathways through overhanging trees are so attractive. Recently more park benches and picnic tables were installed and the play area has recently undergone renovation. This…read morepark does not look much from the outside when you're viewing from the main road at its enclosed gates. However, upon first impression I caught a glimpse of the park's beauty almost instantly. There is plenty of trees and foliage around that provides a cool shade, plus many benches for you to take a rest bite. Moreover, I was delighted to see the lake inhabited by many species of birds and ducks. On the other hand, it was failry clear that the lake was infested with litter and appeared filthy with murk. Incredible how wildlife lives there. On the more positive side, there are beautiful overhead walking bridges that take you from the Everton side of the lake (Yaay!) to the Liverpool side (Booo!). Further down the park is a glass house called Isla Gladstone Conservatory and a children's playing area with several obstacles to keep the kids occupied. The Conservatory (as Tina has already mentioned) has been revived and always worth a visit whilst you're at the park. Stanley Park is a pleasant getaway from the busy traffic that surrounds. It has many lovely features that you shouldn't miss.

Through this camouflaged archway lies a hidden little patch of green. If you long for green and trees and fresh air as much as I do, this is a great place to walk, sit, breath, and drink in the natural world around you. I was taken aback, actually, because it reminded me a little bit of the fields across the road from my grandparents' old stone house back in the USA. As you walk through the arch you have trees on both sides of the mown grass, and you have to walk quite a ways before you come to the open clearing. Apparently this patch of land is home to a bit of wildlife as well so if you're lucky and you time it right, you might spot some cunning and adorable critters.

There's the one for watersports, one for the waterfowl and one for the waterboarding. I may have made that last one up. The children's playground here is a great place to try out the zip line. As confused children tug on their parents' coats and ask what that man is doing you'll be zooming along like Tarzan of the SAS. It's almost worth the concerned looks from passers-by. The rest of the park can be an oddly deserted place to shuffle round but in that way where you think anything could suddenly occur. I think it's because of the way you can hear the sea but not see it. You half expect all the seagulls to fly in one direction without warning as the shadow of a mega-tsunami breaks the horizon. It could happen.

It did not however look particularly welcoming when I went down last, I actually thought the place was still closed until I discerned the faint shape of customers inside. I know quite a few people who were unaware the Marina had reopened, perhaps when word spreads it will become busier and look a little more alive.

There are many mature trees throughout the park and even fruit trees along one of the main paths. The park is split into two halves by Rydal Road, each with its own distinctive feel. Unfortunately that is where the nicety ends as it was the scene of the horrific murder of Anthony Walker an innocent young man who was killed it is believed because of the colour of his skin- We should all be ashamed that this can happen in this country and it goes to prove why any show of bigotry or hatred because of ethnic origin, colour or whatever the personal circumstances of a person should never be given a public forum. I would ask the Qype Community to support this and to also stop petty little comments without a basis or with no regard to the history of another community member. I give 5 stars to this park in memory of Anthony and as a mark of respect for the loss of such a nice young man. R.I.P.
